For me, when I 1st stopped wearing deodorant. It was the most embarrassing experience ever! The odor was so loud and I was in a crowded grocery store. I know I had to have been the talk of the town that day. Even after a shower, the odor would come back within 5 mins. I tried peroxide, witch hazel, coconut oil, olive oil, tea tree oil. But it was like this stuff was making it worse after about an hour of applying them. I used the witch hazel to get down inflammation that I was dealing with on my armpits at the time. But after that I decided to use nothing and see what happens. I smelled awful for a while. But my theory is, this was just my armpits detoxifying itself from years of deodorant, and all the other crap were just adding to the build up. Because after about 2 - 3 months of using NOTHING, the ordor slowly began to disappear. I can honestly say I'm at a point now, where I forget I'm not wearing deodorant because the smell is so mild. And no, it's not because I've gone nose blind. I've had others tell me they smell a difference as well. All I had to do was wait it out. I still eat a bad diet and have yet to replace other toxic chemicals in my routine. So I can only imagine how great things will be when I do make these changes. Also, I've been advised by a friend who also doesn't wear deodorant, that a certain type of probiotic can help with order as well.
