    i learned from this video to get a road king instead of a concours

      It’s definitely easier to ride when doing slow speed turns. I rode a Concours for 2 years at work and I loved this bike. I had to work harder when doing the patterns.

    This is a great demonstration showing the impact of the lean in slow speed u turns. You got your work out putting this one together. Ride safe, train hard and enjoy!

    Outstanding demonstration and the first time I’ve seen it done that way! So basically you have shown that adding lean in order to tighten up the turns is not theory, but a real fact! Lean and adjusting your speed is key. As for me on a DCT, it requires all of the above plus applying a little rear brake. Thank you for this video, and I’m sure you guys can skip going to the gym for a few days, that demo was a workout in itself! 🤣🙏🏾💪🏾✌🏾👍🏾

    Excellent demonstration! Now we have to figure out how to get the confidence to go to full lock and lean all the way through the turn!

    • @leestevens4536

      Howdy, what I’ve been doing is starting out with full lock 90 deg turns and gradually hold it to 110, 120, ….180 and so on.. excellent confidence builder for me.

    • @grounded7362

      Master the clutch and throttle, practice your U Turns in the parking lot and you will build the confidence to do full lock U Turns.
      When doing your U Turns be sure to drop your shoulder on the side you are turning towards and crank your head and upper body around like you are trying to see something down the road or across the lot behind you.
      The biggest mistake I see people make when trying to do a U Turn is lifting their shoulder, not turning their head and upper body and looking down in front of the bike.
      It's fine to lift the shoulder on the outside of the turn as that tend to happen naturally but the shoulder on the inside of the turn must drop away and back as you turn to look behind you.
      When turning the head and upper body while dropping the shoulder the bike will automatically come to full lock.
      By doing your U Turns this way you will be able to do a U Turn between gas pumps with room to spare.

    • @ProriderCentralTexasYouTube

      It should be similar but I think the road king has a little more handlebar turn. I have a friend that rides a street glide. I am going to get is bike and see how it does.

  • @mitchellwilson6695

    Wow! I think the wheelbase of the Concourse is about 4 inches shorter than the Road King (60 vs. 64), but can’t turn as well. I used to just pay attention to wheelbase, but will now pay more attention to handlebar travel. Would a Yamaha FJR1300 perform about the same as a the Concourse, or better than the Road King?

    • @ProriderCentralTexasYouTube

      I haven’t ridden one but I know a couple people who have one. I bet it’s pretty close to the concourse. It’s it also there with the Honda ST 1300. There isn’t much that beats the Road King. I am going to checkout the street glide.
