The amazing piece about this is that AleXa was in South Korea (born in Oklahoma, big KPop star). She approached Voiceplay to collaborate and did it all long distance. Eli who always does the lighting, also did the background. Also for Valhalla Calling which you will get to eventually! Great reaction guys!!
Valhalla Calling must be next!! VoicePlay went next level! This song was written as the theme for the tv show Arcane (League of Legends). They all dressed up as characters from the show and Alexa filmed all of her parts in a different country. The green screen for this one was a bit of headache for Layne and Eli. I’m glad you noticed Geoff’s jump from low to high! Not many people have caught it on first reaction.
This is one of those songs that really highlights the crazy strong foundation created by Layne and Geoff. I really hope y'all get to check out their new one soon. It's Valhalla Calling and it turned out epic! Great reaction as always, guys! ❤
More of a class act than you probably knew - Eli did the backdrop on Unreal Engine.. he knew EXACTLY what he was doing with that vest. He also edited in Alexa - she filmed in S. Korea. She's in the K-pop scene there (originally from the US).
I TOTALLY agree with what you said in the end. These guys raise the bar EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Everybody and their sister: "THIS is the very top a group can do!" Voiceplay: "Hold my beer..." And there are so many things "in the background" that most listeners, even reactors, just can't keep up with it. 🙂 You mentioned the foundation provided by Geoff and Layne. In this particular song, they (and particularly Geoff) do so much in the background that goes unperceived, just because there's so much happening elsewhere, either visually or musically, that it's just too much. It takes at least 3 or 4 listens, every time focusing on different aspects, to really appreciate their videos. You are among those that identify the most of what happens, and your reaction is priceless, at the same time fun and enlightening. Love you guys. And can't wait for next week's treat (Valhalla calling) 😁 See you next time!
The real kicker in this one is that it was covid time, AleXa wanted to do something with VoicePlay, who concurred and they settled on this one. AleXa was living in S. Korea and could not get a flight to the US so she did her audio and video and sent it to VoicePlay. Eli took her parts and incorporated them into VoicePlays and it was well-done. I hope you will do VoicePlay's Nothing Else Matters, and Valhalla Calling. VoicePlay has 2 Imagine Dragons - Enemy and Warriors, which should be followed by Dream On. Geoff calls it Warriors 2.
This song as well as your reaction are both awesome. As another person who commented, mentioned it was great that you were able to catch Geoff’s jump from low up his head and falsetto. He hits a D5 during his high jump and hits an A0 growl bass note when Alexa does the split……you won’t be disappointed if you listen to that part again to hear it.
We try to use our music knowledge as best we can 😂 it’s been a long time for both of us, but we still catch things every now and then! Appreciate the comment! 🙏🏼
Awesome reaction guys. Voiceplay released their new video last Friday. Valhalla Calling. It is epic. Geoff is releasing his new video this Friday. Really really good.
Great reaction! If you liked this one you’ve gotta check out their new release Valhalla Calling. It will blow your mind. I can’t wait to see your reaction to it.
I'm adding my voice to the pleas for Valhalla Calling. Trust me. But the amazing thing about this one is that Alexa wasn't even there. She was recorded and filmed using green screen in South Korea, and edited in, having approached VP to do this with them.
Always love your reactions! You guys are hilarious but also knowledgeable, which makes all the difference for me. VoicePlay consistently kills it. Lately even more so with Nothing Else Matters, Golden Hour, and like eeeeeeeeeevvverybody else says Valhalla Calling which I know is coming soon from ya'll. Looking forward to watching you keel over from that.
I loved that y'all did a reaction to this one. It's one of my favorites. I love that you recognized how high Geoff went and Alexa met him on the high note. Most reactors miss it entirely. I guess they're still reeling from that dragon laugh from Geoff. I can't wait to see you react to Valhalla Calling Geoff brings out the foghorn again.😅
Have you reacted to VoicePlay's Warriors (another Imagine Dragons)? You will enjoy it - it's the first of the post-apocalyptic trilogy, followed by Dream On (I know you've done) and Seven Nation Army.
You _know_... if you ever wanted to watch a _show_ for a reaction, I'd suggest Arcane. I know, I know, you guys said you know nothing about League of Legends, but that's... kind of the beauty of Arcane. You don't need to know _anything_ about League in order to enjoy the heck out of the show. Anything you need to know about the setting is explained over the course of the series, 100% internally to the show. Is there more to know? Yeah, but it isn't essential knowledge to enjoy the show. The animation is beautiful, the music is amazing, the writing is... on another level... it is honestly the video game adaptation show that we had no right to get. And yeah, Enemy is _the opening theme song_ for the series, and was actually written specifically for it. Heck, the studio that made the show were the ones who made the official music video for the song as well, so if you want a teaser of what the animation is like, you should watch _that_ video.
Falling in Reverses new song Watch the World Burn has a laugh on it. If no one has said it yet, apparently Alexa wasn't even there for the record of the video, and they digitized her in there
I can't believe y'all don't have over 200K subscribers. Great reaction. The "Valhalla Calling" video is by far their best yet. J.None is in it. The best!
Yo the first time I ever heard Layne do that last part of the song before the ending....I don't know what it is called...but I first heard and ibwas like...christ the only time I make that sound is if I over do it on taco bell night.
The kicker is....AleXa did her filmed part seperately, and Eli and VoicePlay put them all together seemlessly....Geoff should 'bottle' his effect.....he would make a fortune......>^^
I always enjoy your reactions, and this was a good one. This song was created for a Hulu series called Arcane. It’s very steampunk dystopian and the main character is Jinx who goes “slightly” crazy and paranoid. I had to go watch the series to figure out why she was acting the way she was. You would probably like the series. It’s only two seasons long- so far. I feel that the fact that it is a cgi series is reflected in the look of this. Their faces look a bit “flat” or graphic while the background is detailed. The series is similar in feel. The backgrounds are digitally hand painted while the characters are drawn to reflect that animation feel. But I cannot wait until you watch Valhalla Calling. Geoff is pretty menacing (and hits three B0s🤯) and he isn’t alone. Even Cesar is scary. And J None is in it! It’s a cover of a Miracle of Sound production who creates music based on among other things video games. This could totally be in the game Assassin’s Creed. I don’t even play the game and I know that much.
Geoff's new solo cover Man Of Constant Sorrow . He goes subterranean on us. We are getting 5 delicious Geoff's this time. Make sure you listen to his important message at the end.
Speaking of Imagine Dragons Radioactive... Pentatonix did a cover of it with Lindsey Stirling. I have a hard time listening to the song because of how much it was overplayed, same as you. But I like that over ever once in a while.
Please do a reaction video of Voice Plays new cover song .. Valhalla Calling. Miracle Of Sound messaged Voice Play & said well done lads, it was one of the most creative covers & raised 10 out of 10 alehorns. The air conditioning went out in the studio they filmed this in & with the heavy costumes they were wearing they were sweating so bad. That is pure dedication ❤️❤️ Layne's percussion/ beatboxing is off the charts, Cesar really cuts loose & Geoff hits the lowest of lows .
The Bass Gang has a few songs where they have those wicked Bassy Laughs. Bobby slays at it. So does Peter. Great reaction, guys! On to Valhalla Calling. And buckle up. (And notice the composer actually dropped a comment.)
We love us some polyphia! They’re signed to a major, unfortunately, so we struggle with getting their content on our page without running into roadblocks, but they are absolutely amazing!
You guys have got to check out valhalla calling. You will loose it. Suprised you guys haven't gotten to it yet. Lol the best yet and that's saying something
I love your acapella group reactions as a choir girl myself. But I see a major missing link in your reactions. Postmodern Jukebox and their vintage (often speakeasy jazz approach) covers. This needs to be remedied. Postmodern jukebox w/ Haley Reinhart cover of Radiohead Creep Guns n Roses Sweet Child of Mine w miche braden Both will make you think you heard the original instead of the cover with exceptional vocalists.
……Valhalla is Calling…. Stay tuned next week! 😉
I can't get enough of Valhalla, just great, my favorite ❤🔥🤘💋👏👏👏👏👏👍
Yes!!!! Can't wait to see y'all at that 15 second B0
Brace for impact boys. You ain’t ready. That’s all I can say. Brace for impact.
I Keep checking back for it....
Today’s the day, Jennifer! 😉 4pm MST

Layne just goes off in this one, and I love geoff's dragon purr at the very end. Very fun one from vp
Love Eli and Geoff in this one so much! Y'all will love Valhalla Calling, too! It's epic and was filmed at Vū Orlando.
Next time you gotta do the new voiceplay video. Valhalla Calling.
Yes. This! And Buckle up, because you won’t be ready.
👍🔥 Totally agree. So amazing. Their video for Warriors is older, it is also Imagine Dragons, so underrated.
@@AndieO One of my favorites! So powerful.
YES!!!!! Pls pls pls pls pls do Valhalla Calling by Voiceplay. It will blow your fucking minds!
When you said Geoff is all over the place in this song I just chuckled... Just buckle up
This is one of those songs that really highlights the crazy strong foundation created by Layne and Geoff.
I really hope y'all get to check out their new one soon. It's Valhalla Calling and it turned out epic!
Great reaction as always, guys! ❤

Jeff’s laugh gives me Vincent Price in “Thriller.”
I can think of a couple songs with laughs in them, but no two do it the same. Def Geoff gives a nice vibe to the creepiness of the moment XD
More Geoff laughs are available in their covers of Superstition and Queen in 5 Minutes.
Have you reacted to VoicePlay's Warriors (another Imagine Dragons)? You will enjoy it - it's the first of the post-apocalyptic trilogy, followed by Dream On (I know you've done) and Seven Nation Army.

Let’s not forget Cesar. He adds so much vocal texture!
The small details are often the first forgotten, but they typically make the biggest overall impact on an arrangement! Great comment! 😁
Eli put together AleXa's part (done in S. Korea) and VoicePlay's to combine the incredible video you saw here.
You have to do Vanilla Calling! Epic!

Valhalla Calling! Hate spell check!!! Lol
😂😂 we knew what you meant, but boy did it give us a good chuckle!
A little fun bit: If you plot out the highest and lowest notes of everyone in the group...Layne is the top on both. :)
You should totally react to Christopher tin: Live at Cadogan Hall - Waloyo Yamoni
