A little note about the button smashing when a zombie grabs you: It seems like it's doing nothing but the quicker you press the button the less damage you'll take. So if you would press nothing you would actually die by "one hit" from the zombie (at least on hardcore, don't know about the other difficulties). It's also a feature that already existed in the original games.
Especially getting grabbed from behind. Then x prompt stays longer so you have to mash the x button more.
And in the originals as well there is no way to know for certain if it does anything. I swear to god I have played the 3 originals (currently playing the first one) and I actually never knew if it did anything or not either, I only pressed the shooting button as a "well it could help, you know, so why not".
@@paterfamiliasgeminusiv4623 if you don't press anything in the original, the zombie bites you twice doing double damage. I watch a let's player play without pressing anything to get out of a zombie grab and he gets from fine to red caution. If you push a zombie off then it only gets you to yellow fine from Green fine. You'll need to wriggle the directional stick and mash all four buttons.

Everyone else :wish this segment was longer as well as the rest of the game
Basically somethings you need to know about RE3 and Nemesis, 3 is set before and after RE2, something happens to Jill at a certain point during 3 and when she is out of action that is when 2 takes place, then the end of 3 is set after the events of 2. As for Nemesis he is the same type of monster as Mr X, a Tyrant, but he is programmed to hunt S.T.A.R.S members, these are the ppl who where involved in the story of RE1 so basically Nemesis has been programmed to wipe out the witnesses of the Mansion event. Hope that helps a bit. I know this comment is rather late but been playing these again myself and wanted to see how other ppl reacted to these games. Really enjoying watching your videos, keep up the good the work.

Ahhh, was so excited to see a 2 hour video! Thank you, Marz!!! Loving the playthrough and hope you're having fun with it. This remake has easily become one of my favourite games.
P.s. I'm not sure if you're able to but if you can find a way back to the hospital, you can get the magnum! It will help your sanity against the pale head (pans labyrinth 😂) enemies hahaha. If not, oh well. Just enjoy the game!
The dodge in this game is actually incredibly helpful, but it isn't an instant win; you need to time them. You're dodging way too early and getting hit as a result.
Yeah shes looking for s like in Dark Souls (I like to call them iwinframes) but the dodge in this game doesnt work like that.
RE3 dodges have s as well... so yeah they do basically work the same lol

The Strat for that Nemmy boss fight is save the mines for when he's running around the stage so you can knock him down.. once he's down switch to something else to do damage so you can save the mines for when we runs on walls again. Hit the weird thing that comes out of his chest when he's down. Also, you can't just spam dodge like in dark souls.. it's tricky to master at first, you gotta time it right and also in the right direction cause you can dodge right into zombies if you ain't careful lol
are you really expecting her to stop spam dodging after she reads your comment? have you seen her ds3 walkthrough? people tell her every video not to spam things, and where is she at now...still spamming buttons lol.
Not expecting anything lol, I commented with hopes that it might help someone else. Ay but she still beats those games right? I give her props. Also, maybe she don’t read the comments when she’s playing thru a game to avoid spoilers.
i mean what kinda "pisses me off" is that this that you said, should be instinctive, like, the moment ou get the mine rounds, imeadly the game tells you they are rare, and she wasted 2 on regular zombies, it is obvious that she needed to use them when nemeis was runing trough the wall, so why did she shot him with the mine rounds after he was down? like, anyone should figure this out easly on their own, i realy cannot understand how someone cannot get to this conclusion, i realy cannot understand how anyone in their right minds would use the mine rounds for anting other than a boss fight...
@@joaosoares-rr5mj Same. I felt l was going insane watching that boss fight. They basically spell out and spoon feed to you what you're supposed to do. Or any time she tries to kill a downed zombie with a knife by stabbing it 500 times and gets bitten twice and almost killed in the process when a few well aimed shots to the head would do the trick in like, 3 seconds flat. Don't get me wrong, I like watching these lets plays, but sometimes i feel like I'm taking crazy pills.

You'd think Jill would run through the station because she left a note there. i never found a note from Carlos. would have been way better to have Jill in the police station. Imagine running through there with the S.T.A.R.S uniform. what were they thinking?

Yeah that clock tower boss fight was confusing. I eventually figured out if you can knock him to the ground with a grenade or a mine while he's running or stopped on the walls and about to hop, his 'heart' gets exposed and you can do some extra damage to him - I just stabbed it with my knife. I did that a few times and that beat him.
Hi, I've been watching your playthrough again and we are at 1:52:26. And a thought struck me. "Would you realy take plants from a doctor's work space? Who was one of the people who created the zombies. As it might have been altered to change anybody into zombies. Who uses then for cures." Good luck with the plants. Yer right. Little tip: don't take so much stuff with you, specially with Jill. You end up wasting more time, resources and puting yourself in more danger when you return for itens over and over because you don't have space. Also sometimes you can miss some good stuff if you're not able to go back for an item.
Try to have at lest 4 free slots. Don't carry 3 guns, if you end up needing one, you can always go back then or reload. Trust me, you will do a lot less backtracking.

Funny you should say that zombie looked like Nosferatu, lol. Nosferatu is an actual boss enemy in another Resident Evil game, Code Veronica. xD Which is actually the next game in the series' timeline right before RE4.

Nemmy is a bullet sponge in that boss fight.... It irritated me too.
You so lucked out that the detonator went off because Jill's door was exposed and the game could've easily failed you there for not guarding the door. Also, general FYI for this game, every creature is defeatable with a gun (and a knife even, if you're good enough at dodging), so, while grenades and stronger weapons are more efficient in resource/time management, you can fight lickers, hunters and even Nemesis with a pistol if need be. That being said, keep an eye out for grenades and whatnot in your inventory as it looked like you overlooked them a couple times in this vid. Oh, and don't be afraid to backtrack for useful upgrades and weapons.

MARZ I just came home from my rigorous and tough shift at my nursing home. I work as a CNA and We currently have 100% of our patients diagnosed with COVID-19. I came home crying because it’s unlike anything I’ve ever seen in my life. It is an utter war zone on every single floor. You missed a ton of lockpicks in the hospital with jill, and the lightning hawk(desert eagle) which really helps with the pale heads. They regenerate, and can only be killed with high powered ammo. Or you can waste tonnes of small ammo(pistol etc) but that's a waste

Marz! Make sure to go back to the hospital with Jill to open those lockpick boxes/lockers and for that crate in the courtyard! Lots of ammo and stuff you can use.
The loot is pretty bad honestly. I'd suggest just passing on them instead of wasting your ammo going back through.

Word of advice. Go back to the hospital you missed a lot of lock pick items and also the Lightning Hawk which is very effective against those pale head zombies, it's a one shot one kill if you hit the head.
The hospital is fairly clear aside from a few zombies so it should be easy

The biggest fuck up of this remake for me was the fact that the Nemesis turned into something he never was in the original game. They should've left his figure as what it was. That human figure was way more terrifying.

The game is very easy even without the Lightning Hawk and the upgrades she missed. They throw ammo and healing at you wayyyy too much in standard.

I think the reason you had so much trouble with the Nemmy fight is because you used up some of those mine rounds on standard zombies earlier :p.
and when nemesis was down, instead of using them when he is rnning in the walls...
You missed something like 3 or 4 weapons mod and the Desert Eagle...If you come back to the hospital you still can pick them up except the stuff for the assault rifle (needed Carlos for that). Happy to see the game though, love your reactions ! I Laughed out loud at the ending >
I don't understand why all you youtubers stab several times a zombie to check if they died. Stab a zombie once is enough and if they move after the first stab they are still "alive"
