It really isn't something they have ever explored but the trauma they all endured from the incident(along with Leon and Claire from RE2) did scar them quite a bit so seeing them explore this aspect is quite intriguing to me . Also RE3 takes place sometime before, during and after RE2.
We'll find out if it's a documentary next episode when she goes to the market. If there's toilet paper on the shelves then this game loses all pretences of realism

She went legit, went to the police academy, and eventually was recruited into STARS (special tactics and rescue squad.) Her father thought being a police officer would be safer, but then came Umbrella corps.

Folks say Capcom is doing another big remake and it isn't Code Veronica. Resident Evil 4 is my favorite game but it really doesn't need a remake imo. It is still mostly playable (though one notices some flaws in a game that is a teenager by now). I mean what should they change ? Tank controls, and what else ? they can't touch the inventory system as that contributes in large part to what makes the game so great. Perhaps make the textures more hd, that already exists for PC... They really shouldn't consider remaking it for another 5 years at least. There is btw another leak claiming that "Resident Evil 8 will be announced this month with a 2021 release date and will be offensive to RE8 purists".
There are some notes toward the end of this game mentioning Umbrella's European offices. The beginning of Code Veronica has Claire searching for her brother in Paris before she is arrested so my money is on that.

I was hoping you would play RE3 Marz! In my experience the campaign is the same length as one of RE2s I completed both in around 6 hours. Nemesis made me so paranoid even when he clearly wasn't around.

RE2 Remake is just as short if you know what you are doing, and the originals of these 2 Remake titles weren't exactly long either, it's just people like you have a habit of speedrunning or rushing it that makes it seem so short. I'm 7 hours in and not even half way there because I'm taking my time & enjoying it.
