Phobia implies, that it's irrational fear. It's not irrational. Most of those shouldn't be even considered as phobias but as being reasonably cautious.

There was a movie in 1977 called "Orca" starring Richard Harris (the original Dumbledore). It was about an Orca that goes on a murderous rampage after his mate is captured and killed, causing her to miscarry her calf. It was pretty terrifying to watch as a kid.

But they basically shoot a web into the air and when wind hits it, it gains disrespectful air with it as well. And it can fly reaaaally far like this. Some were even found on top of weather ballons hundreds of meters off the sky

Fun Fact about Megs, they were reef sharks. They cant live "at the bottom of the ocean" like so many people think. There's even less food down there. The water temps and salinity would kill it. The pressure would kill it. Theres just so many reasons they couldnt be down there.

I feel you Skitten on fears. I personally love the sea, but i absolutely hate bugs of all kinds. My family always thinks im dramatic for freaking out when they come close to me, but i can't help my flight or fight response.
After seeing that clip of a Giant Squid, I realized I’ve only actually seen animations of Giant Squids. It’s crazy to see the real thing.

You aren't alone in your spider hatred - Been bitten by: wolf spiders (couldn't wear pants, even underwear, for a whole summer since the whole back of my leg was chewed), brown recluse (nearly died, nearly LOST MY ARM) and black widow (freaked the hell out of the ER dr when, after he said it wasn't possible, my roommate pulled out the glass jar they had shoved one into for proof, not that I was paying much attention, my head has killing me and I was too busy vomiting). The black widow, oddly, was the least terrible. Spider have me on a jihad list, my photo is up in some little spider bunker with a target over my face. Needless to say, I will NEVER be stepping foot in Australia, I'd get swarmed and killed before my feet hit the ground. Spiders are my no. Utter no. I will, and have, and feel no shame in saying I've made people pull cars over to get rid of a daddy longlegs. I'll get up on a table and shriek like a 1950's tv housewife who just saw a mouse and feel no embarrassment if I see one. The fact you suffer thru these with your eyes open is impressive. Love CG but some of his vids, I wait to watch thru your channels because I need to deal with it with someone else. Thank you for your sacrifice.

Hearing about Skitten's dreams makes me think that the cuter a person is, the more messed up their dreams are because my youngest sister has had dreams where everyone dies in various, creative ways since early childhood.

I almost drowned as a kid and live near the sea in the eastern part of South Africa where rouge waves are a thing ( basically mini tsunami's that appear out of nowhere ) and can't swim so ya I can understand your fear the only difference is my brain is fucked so I find the things that scare me too interesting to stay away from

You think we are the only flesh and blood animals in this galaxy much less the universe? Aliens very likely exist somewhere out there, at our level and type of intelligence. A giant shark would starve to death or get eaten by cookie cutter sharks. Or even orcas. Also they would not be at the bottom of the ocean since down there is damn near empty of anything a shark that massive would eat especially if they have a regular sharks metabolism.
The Red Devil Squid hunts in packs of a Literal LEGION... And can get up to 40ft long... Yeah this confirms my fear of the Ocean...

Humbolt squids have a demonic motif to them. Think about it, they can be red and white and are very much eerie like demons. They are about as big as a man, are extremely aggressive, form entire armies while hunting, and emerge from the deep oceanic depths. This honestly reminds me of a legion of demons rising out from the depths of hell, and in the book of Revelation, the Anti-Christ is said to emerge from the sea. So yeah, the nickname of Red Devil is extremely appropriate for them.

I have something of a sligth spider phobia myself (jumping spiders get a pass).
But I'm also scared of deep water 😅, not the creatures that inhabit it, specifically deep water. I don't even know why, I can swim and I like to swim 🤷♀ , to the point I once got a fright while in a pool (I wore googles so I was able to see the bottom. never again).
Murky water is usually ok tho, since I'm able to use the fantastic powers of denial (nithgmares about swiming [on the surface] of the mariana trench nonwhistanding).
