- In this video, I walk through the simple process of all that you need to be able to fly your drone in China.
I was a little worried before I traveled to China, but I got all the information and it was a lot easier than I first thought. I hope that this can be helpful, please tag me in any of your posts and let me know how it went for you to fly your drone in China.

You have to register your drone and attach a sticker with a QR code and reg. number that system will assign to you. But there's an extra step to legally fly your drone in Shanghai. Before taking off, you have to declare your flight at the city police website. And it's technically impossible, since it's only for Chinese ID holders.

I have a question do we need to register before we bring our m2p to china ? Just worries of custom.
if you have the local SIM card now, go ahead. Otherwise, on arival. As he said, no one is going to confiscate it at the airport.
If I didn't have a registration of my drone yet,can I fly drone in China? Do polices always check the registration when they see someone flying drone in normal area(not NFZs and government area)?

The app will not let you fly without registering first.
The registration is very quick but you do need a Chinese phone number to receive the text.
I was never asked to see my registration because it is all online and done with your DJI account. I hope I answered your question!

@@dostaquitos1215 I don't have a Chinese phone number as I am a foreigner (no friends in China too). So it is akin to saying that the registration will never be completed and hence, cannot fly a drone in China.
