Month 0: Living Costs in Barcelona

An experiment documenting the costs of full-time travel. Now that we are traveling full time, I’ll be tracking our expenses each month and comparing the cost of travel to the cost of staying at home. In this video, I’ll give you the breakdown of our basic living costs when we were living in Barcelona. In future videos, we'll compare travel costs to these living costs.

Great idea, but it really depends on the type of job you have. If you are a freelancer and you earn that amount no matter where you are, then yes, that is better than just living in one city, but if your career does not work around these fields where you can work from a distance and you are let’s say a bartender or working in retails or just usual jobs, than that would be more difficult. It also depends for how long are you planning to actually stay in the city, if you stay more than few months than you can actually settle for a job there, but that also requires legal paperwork and so on😊

How is your water bill only 10 euros?

That was a set cost that our landlord told us (and I think was the same for everyone in the building). Not sure why it was so cheap. But the electricity was metered.
