It turned out very spectacular, congratulations. This is a nice job. 🙂
Can't wait for this, i was waiting for a tutorial like that on Xfce, also i like the rounded whisker menu
Thank you so much Linux Scoop your videos are calming and I really like the work you do... Love you guys
If Linux wants to get popular then they need to hire you to design the desktop environments. Windows and Mac can't even touch the beauty you produce! Who wouldn't want this on their laptop etc.. pure GENIUS!!!!! It makes the windows desktop look like something a 3rd grader designed!!!!!! Please please do an iso!!!!!!!!
@Abu I am currently using xerolinux KDE! I wish more developers would put the time in to polish it up like Garuda and xero do.
He doesn't design the resources, he just uses them
@@apurvakumardani172 Yup I get that. They need to hire him because he knows how to use their resources. Lol, Linux for the most part is ugly out of the box.
@@johnmal5975 "Linux for the most part is ugly out of the box."
I don't think so. If you will use beginner friendly distros like MX, ubuntu, zorin, elementry, mint and manjaro etc then they are not ugly at all
@@shail0124 Every one those is ugly! Just an opinion but nothing like this guy produces. I love Linux Mint however it looks the same as it did 10 years ago same can be said for the rest of them. Not one of those distros has any pizazz. They all work fantastic yet ugly as can be. Nobody is looking at those distros for the first time and saying omg I gotta try this.
You make me much less afraid of Xfce! Thank you LinuxScoop!
This proves that distro and desktop environment doesn't really matter; you can just take any distro with any desktop environment or window manager and make it look like anything you want; this is the power of Linux; customisable in every way
IDK man, it looks good but ulauncher still doesn't even have basic file search and by the time you are done its just a lot of work to get something thats still not even close to the functionality of stock Gnome or KDE Plasma.
except pantheon it is straight up uncustomizable
@@amogoose2971 Agreed
Always loved your guides, keep it up!
I really like how XFCE is built and how everything is laid out. But my only gripe with it is the lack of animations though out the UI...
who cares? if you want animation go get android or GNOME. your ram will love it!
@@khankbar android??...also having animations though out should at least be a choice (like you have to manually turn on something or install some packages)...or a plugin that brings some animations would be cool
Switch to KDE.. Best customizations & animations, still lower RAM usage. Way better than gnome and xfce
@@DarthVader095 yeah but its way more cpu intensive than XFCE... To be honest I don't really care that much about ram, i got 8gb and it's just enough.
@zshxho someone has no idea that his cpu (Intel management engine) is spying on him and that's why, for an old thinkpad, 400mb makes a difference.
Go back to windows with your generel attitude
another great tutorial from LS. thanks
This looks way better than the previous MacOS theme.
once more PIECE OF ART!
Ficou top. Adicionei no Manjaro XFCE
Hey, linuxscoop! You made a mistake in the vid’s desc. It says ‘Debian with KDE’ Please replace kde with xfce.
Oh, he has fixed the typo.
I'd like to see one on LXQT or LXDE
Just wow!
Hi. Is any option in panel or in Xfce general setting to set right click to close windows/ icons on the panel and taskbar ? Thanks.
That's amazing, thanks :)
It was a great tutorial! Also why not make a xfce nordic customization tutorial? As you made both for gnome and kde
ok why doesn't the windows key/super key not do anything? that is a key feature in my other distros feel really weird without. i want to use mouse less
I was trying, and when I was installing the icons after that I lost my panels menus icons, and now nothing. Help
I found it for MATE desktop too. Thank you.
How did you guys fix the Conky bug at 22:30 ? I don't get any weather or internet speed either
i needed to install jq, with sudo pacman -S jq and curl if that's not installed to get the weather widget to work.. the network manager you must change the network device to match your own in regulus.conf do a ip link in terminal and you should see ur device and change it according to that mine was wlan0..
@@smellysocks8913 Yes, that worked! Thank you so much!
@@sarditime132 my pleasure :-D i removed the music part of the widget. i could not get it to work with spotify, so it is useless for me :-D but other than that it look really nice..
@@sarditime132 I only see your answer on this comment. Could you help me? How do you fixed this?
This should be the default look for xfce :D
Mine said Pac-Man command not found not sure what to do
what distro
I was just about to search on internet for this and youtube recommended this premier, yt sus
@9:48 how did you get the bottom panel?
Sweet! Thank you! I also have a Mint "MATE" Laptop I'd love to update. Any "MATE" customization?
How did you get the context menu to be round?
There's no ram consumption comparison😢 why?
Wow very nice 😊❤
just applied configuration panel and my screen got blank,i can't se any panel right now please help...
Glava config is made for a 1080 resolution! I'm using a 2K res, and of course the bar won't be centered on the bottom of the screen. Any idea which values to change on the config files? Thanks a lot, nice video as usual!
open file rc.glsl which you have copied to the folder ~/.config/glava/
find tag #request setgeometry then change like this if you are on 2k resolution:
#request setgeometry 480 1098 1600 300
then save.
to check, open terminal turn off glava
killall glava
running again glava with new config:
glava --desktop
@@linuxscoop Worked perfectly! Thanks a lot dear, nice job!
how did you get the round wishker menu
Am I the only one who didn't get how conky switched up from default view to what's showed in 'additional setup?'...
Me too
how stable is xface vs cinnamon which has had some reliability issues? also the icons in the bottom right could use an update still looking like they from the 90s but overall this looks pretty tight and i'm gonna give it a test drive
Can anyone help with the weather part of this. It doesn't show anything. I think I'm missing something. McGaheysville, VA is my location. Thanks
Hello, how did you get the time to appear on the screen?
Hey hope you are aware that one can no longer install ulauncher and even its repository is no longer accepted.
would you please look into this.
wooooow :)
Man I had installed Arch, set this all up and it worked perfectly. Had some issues with the Nvidia drivers being trash, reinstalled, got all that working and now for instance the little "Start button" isn't showing up after doing it all over again. Other than that it's working I guess I just don't get why that one thing seems to be missing from the bar lol.
didn't work well with mx19.4. glava, picom, and theme is not ok
IDK man, it looks good but ulauncher still doesn't even have basic file search and by the time you are done its just a lot of work to get something thats still not even close to the functionality of stock Gnome or KDE Plasma.
how did you make the taskbar look like that
Hey where can i find the ulauncher folder in case i downloaded it directly from their site
How can I remove the title bar at the top in Firefox? Without losing my maximize, minimize, cross buttons? thanks
right click an empty space near where the extension icons are, then go to settings and uncheck the bottom
do how to make i3wm aesthetic.
If xfce4-panel-profiles does not run, I can run it by adding python-psutil
Will it work on kali linux?
hi there! It was a great tutorial. Everything worked, except that in the custom glava files the bars don't show up while playing songs, but the defualt ones do. Any way to fix this?
with the Picom can you put the round corners like Gnome?
How did you put the stuff at the bottom at 9:45
This is great! But i have a problem, my glava on desktop is under my panel, i tried editing the config but i could't find the setting for position. Any tips?
Will this work on Kali Linux xfce??
how to customize taskbar at the 9:48 bro??
Picom config command not working
I don't get the glava folder in .config
tengo un pequeño problema las app me salen en ingles como las pongo en español
А есть уже настроенная сборка c таким конфигом?
Very nice
does this work on xubuntu
Does it work on Debian XFCE?
Will this work on bionic pup 32?
Hey man, can't find the files in the initial setup section on the website. Any help?

"better" is subjective. What looks better to you may look worse to someone else.
I am going to do this with my 1gb ram machine
Demasiado bueno pero no lo pude hacer en debian
this xfce edition most better than mac os

Or just install KDE.
KDE is buggy, unstable, crashes frequently and eats a lot of resources...
@@00wx Yes, that's what ignorant people say, and the reality is the opposite.
@@tranceyy I've been using KDE for 6 months and the only good thing they have are widgets
@@00wx +1 this is true af/
@@00wx I’m using kde for over a year now and I haven’t experienced any errors. Even after heavily customizing and tweaking things constantly. Resource usage is also minimal but customizing a lot will increase resource usage of course.
unfortunately, this customization broke my system....
MXLB
Я подобной ерундой занимался лет 16-ть назад, ещё на Windows XP. Менял кнопочки, темы и обои.
Absolute broke my system when i tried that, would not recommend
any fix? completely broke my arch installation
Delete all installed packages from the video and reinstall ur desktop environment
@@gamefreak6126 yeah i just switched desktop environments
24 minutes of making light-weight distro blurry and ram-costy.
true.
This! More difficult to work with, too.
1)install lightweight de 2)install a ton of garbage
Забавно
Silly
Stop paywalling your tutorials.
but you upload fake videos
Are there anybody who can help me, i can't get the conky widget to show weather, dl speed or music playing.... except that it look nice :-D
I get a mpd error port 6600 refused
And i dont know how to fix it 😭
i made the weather and bandwidth monitor work. i needed to install jq with sudo pacman -S jq and the network manager i made work with changing the network device to according to my own. ip link in terminal too see.. with the music widget i am struggling, i want it to work with spotify?? any idea ppl??
@@smellysocks8913 alas, no ideas. I tried to get this shaitain machine to work with the "parole" media player, but the pieces of code in this conky layout only work with the mpd player. Alas, my attempts to rewrite the code were even. Even with stack overflow, I didn't really do anything. As a result, I scored 10 meters, I stupidly cut out the segment with music from the code. By the way, thanks for the hint for downstoning "jq". however, I don't see any network packets in the 3rd widget tile. network manager, SSID, and fonts are set. Distribution: Kali linux. Can you suggest what else can be done?
