  • It's been a while since I last looked at a Mini-ITX case on the channel but Cooler Master reached out to us recently and asked if we fancy taking a look at a new addition to their Max mini ITX lineup. The NCORE 100 Max is equipped with an 850W ATX 3.0 power supply, PCIE 4 riser kit and a custom 120mm AIO that Cooler Master says is capable of cooling a 13900K CPU. It has some other smart features that could make the NCORE 100 Max the most interesting ITX case we see this year. So let's dive in and see just how good this case really is. One issue with this case is that the PSU is exhausting hot air into the radiator.
I bought this case and with a small, flat aluminum plate was able to change the orientation of the PSU to exhaust out the back. Basically, I turned the PSU 90 degrees counterclockwise. It was an easy mod without touching the actual case. Made a huge difference.
I also put the stock PSU info a different system and got a Corsair SFX 750 instead.

Biggest issue with their MAX lineup is how the included cooler & PSU seems to come at a steep premium. Saving the labour of routing that stuff yourself is worth a price, I dunno about 'that' much though!
Good deal if your build needs such an effective cooling setup though, but makes it basically pointless for midrange stuff at this price.
