Steps to fix your device.
1. Heat up the back cover
2. Unscrew all the screws holding the back cover.
3. Pry around the edges of the back cover
4. Disconnect all the connections to the mainboard
5. Pull up on the motherboard
6. Put it to the side.
7. Now grab the new screen
8. Insert the battery and mainboard into the new screen
9. Put the connectors back onto the main board
10. Put the rest of the unit back together

I bought the replacement screen from you on eBay. Just sat down to do this project. Guess what, my screen replacement doesn’t come with the new adhesive.

My screen was lifting off, but the watch was still working. I bought the adhesive tape from Joe's to adhere the screen back onto the phone that was suggested in the video. Worked fine for the day, but the next day it popped off and since I didn't realize it was coming off again the screen hit against something and now it's fully broken. This was a great tutorial, but I suggest a different adhesive, or go someplace to fix it.

@@Joesge my active 2 watch screen tape is teared and watch is not working. Anyway to fix that without changing the whole display. Coz I purchased the watch for 120 usd (10000 INR). And the original display is itself 85 usd.

I need a replacement screen for my watch activ 1 and I cannot find it anywhere, from your experience can you suggest anywhere I can find one as I visited your store and this replacement was unavailable? I can imagine that this would be due to the age of the unit.

Great video, thank you. So i have the black screen off death and have tried everything to no avail. I’ve taken it for repair twice. First time they told me it was water damage which really didn’t make sense. Second time I was told it need a new screen but they were unable to order. Thoughts? Thank you.

Hey There! Recently I unpaired my galaxy active 2 with my phone, now the thing is TOUCH is not working, ribbon cable got damaged, now to connect it to phone, i need to press pair button on the watch, so instead ,can i use the display of other samsung active watches(is the display connector universal for active watches), for just pairing purpose, and then I can use the watch with the app. If you have another trick, would love to hear that!

Greate video mate but just wondering is the watch still watertight after this repair?
As long as the glue is applied correctly it will create a water resistant seal. Overtime the glue will erode.

Yes i was looking for a answer to this question, i tripped while wearing the watch and got a couple scratches that are really annoying.

@@ronfeniuk2865 No they haven't, and since they replied the same on a different video where a "just glass" replacement video was also highly requested, I have enough reason to believe that they just say this in order to keep people hooked to them, which's really just very scummy. Also I could not find any mention of a "glass only" replacement anywhere (iFixit also didn't mention it)

Do you have a video for this watch, for suspected water damage? In the pool (in water lock mode) my watch flashed weird colours, turned off, and now I can't turn back on 😭.

You will need to replace the screen. The touch goes bad on those every so often.

Great video but going on the link for replacements parts cost around $110 which for me in Europe is around €97 for Me the crazy thing is the new Watch4 is on Amazon at €210 for me so doesn't worth to buy the replacements and do all the work.. I'm searching an economic solution but is hard to find something

Does the screen seal makes it waterproof again?
I would say it is still water resistant. The units always have a chance of getting water damage even from factory.

Never heard of the LCD going loose. Maybe you got some water damage?

My screen works perfect but it's not responding to my touch and my bezel is kinda glitchy what should I do happened after work I noticed tht I did have a lil sweat inside my watch cover, I've let the watch die and charged it bck to 100% and even unpaired it from my phone and it still doesn't work and now wont pair back to my phone

Silly, a new watch now costs $78 on Amazon...not worth repairing. Took out my touchscreen function today weedeating, even though the screen looks undamaged. These things are as weak as BudLight's new spokesman.
