  • (Recorded 03/30/2023). Happy 4th of July y’all! Here’s a nice, long video to celebrate! So as you can see in the video, they were putting key card readers into the elevator but they at the time had fortunately not been activated yet so we still got to ride. Sadly, since then they have likely been activated so this will probably my final ride on these. 😢 Anyways, enjoy the video!

I just went there last weekend and yes the elevators have unfortunately been key carded so the only take I have of these elevators was back in 2020 when the place was being renovated.

Sadly, this place now hates photography. As of last May, I got busted. Nothing horrendous really happened as the employee was quite nice and understanding, but still wouldn’t let me go up if I’m not staying, so I just left. They were still not yet key-carded at that time as I wanted to get a much more better video with my video camera until I was confronted right in the beginning of starting my video. So yeah, not only are these elevators soon to be getting key card readers, but this hotel has now became less friendly with elevator photography.

Oh dear, I’m sorry to hear that. I understood it quite hard to get busted even know that I try to get to ability before and I didn’t get busted but we were just not about to get in the building because she had to been a member to get into that building in Dallas Texas. It had 72 stories up and we couldn’t go up on them because of security and everything so just so you know I didn’t get busted but I just wasn’t to be In that building Jim because I felt ashamed that I couldn’t get into that building in Dallas Texas but I was also knowing about how did these other people get into the building and I just didn’t get a chance to get it because of security by did you get a chance to work? I know I didn’t get reason why for some reason but I might go back to Dallas Texas this year and I may be able to get into that building again that has 72 stories up, and hopefully I will get a chance to ride the famous elevators Jim

I’m not saying places should treat elevator photographers as terrorists, but I am saying that the safety of hotels is more important and comes before elevator photography, which is why more and more places are keying off their elevators overtime. Because of this, I will likely be retiring from elevator filming within the next year or so.

@@StormC9101 Too many shootings in this country are the reason they are adding keycard readers however they are also becoming less and less friendly.

It looks like it maybe best to start and end the video in the elevator or on another floor. Houston is getting worse and worse.
