Ironman 4x4 products are pretty slick. I have their control arms, steering box spacer, and engine mounts. Pretty impressed with the quality. From watching so many people put on unibody stiffeners then have to modify everything that mounts to it I think stiffeners will be the last thing that goes on so I can cut and trim around what I need to.
Yeah I’m not sure what I’ll do if I build another XJ. I think with a steering box brace and a track bar brace it’ll be enough to negate the need for frame stiffeners.
You are putting in a ton or work and money and you are going with short arms? I would highly recommend long arms. They are just better in every way. Either radius arms or true 4 link.
That’s later down the list, once it’s driving. I already had the short arms before this stage of the build. Once it’s driving under it’s own power I’ll get the CavFab 3 link long arm 🤙🏼
@@motolayne its looking awesome, by the way. I have been doing a few things to mine that i have been wanting to do for years. Its fun and exciting. Pretty soon you will have to start wheeling the Jeep instead of working on it! We should meet out on table mesa rd or something. 🙂
Looking awesome Layne..💪👍👍
Thanks! Feels good to knock out a good milestone

I can’t wait to get back to wheeling! I definitely want to explore more trails in Arizona.
@@motolayne we have some really great ones!
Great build love the videos but I'm just curious as to why you're using short arms when you spent tens of thousands on this Jeep?
My focus right now is to get the jeep driving and I already had these long arms. I’ll be getting the CavFab 3 link long arm next year 🤙🏼
Talk about an over bored hole.
That’s the point brother
