I’m 56 years old and I’ve been a Michigan fan since Gerry Ford was in the White House and I’ve never been more proud of the University’s performance than today.
Almost the same age and been a Tide fan since the 70s. Congrats to y’all on a great game. Y’all EARNED the hard fought victory. Gotta love an instant classic overtime playoff game even if it’s not quite the ending we wanted.
Best of luck to y’all in the National Championship game. Hope to matchup against you guys again soon.

And my favorite part about it is he’ll go on his show and say things like “fanbases come for you when you pick against their team regardless of how sound your logic is.” Then his “logic” will be some ridiculous analogy about how Michigan is a 6th grader beating up 3rd graders, or how he has no reason to believe this year Ohio state’s team will lose based on how they carried themselves in media days due to how confident and locked in they seemed, as if that matters. All of that is to hide the fact he picks programs he has friends at and teams he likes and then has to back channel his rationalizations to match those picks. But since he’s a smooth talker and his fan base has the IQ of a ratchet set, they all eat it up.

Michigan fan and long time season ticketholder here. Both teams played really hard and it was back and forth. Alabama is an excellent team and with the most accomplished coach in modern football! Hats off the the Crimson Tide and their fanbase!

When you pick Bama because of the past, you cease to be objective. Bama didn't deserve to be here and was manhandled at the LOS all day. Michigan's horrible special teams play kept Bama in the game. Undefeated versus the SEC and 0-2 versus real CFP playoff teams with losses at home and on a neutral site. Go Blue!!

No. That's not how it works. Both Alabama and Georgia had the same record with one loss. The difference is Georgia's loss was in the SEC title game. You lose the title game and the other team has the same record - you don't get to go to the playoffs. That's how it works.

The last drive of McCarthy with the game on the line in the 4th quarter was so clutch. He probably assured himself to be a first round draft pick. I think many NFL teams now have him on their list.

They keep trying to bring up old scenarios to tarnish this Michigan team, which is obviously the best we’ve had in decades, if not ever. The fact is any scandal was laid to rest and people had time to change signs. Everyone read signs, but people had time to change them before the Penn State game before the Ohio State game before the Alabama game. We just had players that came back and wanted to win more than anything else and their entire will is directed towards that goal. Seems more like to me. The SEC is ESPN‘s and national television darling but this year they just couldn’t make it happen.

Michigan OUTLASTS Alabama? I question the title of this post. While the game went into overtime, Michigan beat Alabama soundly. Michigan's special team blunders kept Bama close. Former athletes, coaches, and sports reporters were unanimous in their assessment that BAMA was outcoached, and the offense failed to make in-game and half-time adjustments. I realize that CBS Sports has to appease its SEC fanbase (after all, we don't want some crazed individuals driving from Alabama to Ann Arbor to poison centuries-old trees), but OUTLASTS, particularly in all caps, is a classic example of the SEC bias.

That was one embarassing Special Teams performance from every angle - not fielding enough players at the snap(WTF?!), to both punt returners not knowing basic catch positioning, kick gunners standing around while a ball hits a Bama player's foot (live ball), and on and on. Gee, wonder why Jim didn't take his son with him to LA. Thanks for subjecting Michigan fans to him though, Jim. Thanks a lot.

So sad for Bama. Terrible last play call Rees didn't give Milroe a run-pass option, it was a QB draw from 4 yards out against the Michigan defensive line .
It actually was supposed to be a run pass to the left. Milroe was either supposed to run and cut left or pass to a running back and run left but the snap was low and he almost didn’t catch it. Because of that, I think he panicked and ran right up the middle.
