I have a dough 4k 144hz monitor with my Macbook M3 Max. I will say if your machine is great, you don't have to worry about the GPU performance, and scaling looks find, noticeably sharper than my QHD Asus Proart monitor. But I will say what it really affects is the programs you run. For example, I use Davinci Resolve and for some time the UI didn't understand the non-native scaling, and the curser would jump around and menus would pop up in different parts of the screen. It was really annoying. And sometimes the scaling would reset randomly and your open programs would be scattered. To avoid those hiccups, yes QHD is is the way to go. Before I got the Dough, this Dell u2724DE was very tempting but I couldn't find many reviews on it. This video would've definitely tipped me toward it 🙌🏽
I have the same Dough monitor, but the newer 1440p version. The screen is actually comparable to the U2724DE despite the Dough being OLED (I noticed this while gaming). Dell has come a long way with their panels. I like the Dough, but the USB-hub and KVM in the Dell is just soooo good that I'm not sure if I would go back.
This monitor has been out for almost a year. I’ve been patiently waiting to see if they will release a u2725de that offers a 4k variant at 60Hz or TB5 or a 10GbE option. Everything about these monitors is exemplary. I/O (Thunderbolt!), a KVM, sleek design and performance… hell I even appreciate the 120Hz! But I can see why they stopped there unfortunately. 120Hz 4k would pretty much saturate a Thunderbolt 4 connection (if you’re using 10 bit color) and for anyone looking to use the I/O on the ports at full speed it’ll be limited with a cap of 40Gbps if your aim is to use a single port. And that is just for a single monitor.. imagine trying to use two! Thunderbolt 5 is so new that implementing it will take a while if at all, but won’t leave a whole lot of extra bandwidth if you were to theoretically run 2x 4k 120Hz at 10bit. About ~10Gbps to spare (which in most cases is fine but what’s the point of having 10Gbps I/O if you can only use one of them at full speed at a time ¯\_(ツ)_/¯) Honestly, this monitor has been on my radar all year and I do intend to get it. I would much prefer 4k over 1440p, but as a photographer that uses a Mac for my own work, PC for my other, and want a single cable solution from my laptop(s) to the setup… this is almost perfect
Interesting video. Do you still recommend using a gaming monitor with Macbook? I've just bought an M4 Pro Macbook Pro (base model) and I'm looking for an external monitor. Apple Studio Display has a refresh rate of only 60hz and also a high price of $1600. The newly launched 5K monitors from Asus and Benq will also have refresh rates of 60hz, so they're ruled out too. If one doesn't want to use a 1440p monitor, I guess the only option left is a 27" 4k gaming monitor with a 120Hz or more refresh rate, and use it scaled to 1440p. Am I right? if yes, any suggestions as to which monitor to buy?
Between this one and the U2723QE wich one would you pick to connect to a macbook? Will the scaling to 1440p on the 4k be that much of an issue? Will it be less sharp than this monitor? The one thing I like on this one is the higher refresh rate, resolution wise what do you think? Thanks for sharing!
A good monitor for MacOS could be something like: • 38" (235 ppi) or 40" (223 ppi) • 8064 x 3840 (scaled 4032 x 1920) @ 12-bit @ 60 Hz • Thunderbolt 5 display connection (80 Gbps / 120 Gbps) • Matte screen (nano texture) • HDR1500, Mini-LED That would require a bandwidth within TB5 spec and yield the desirable Retina target size:resolution Can Dough deliver something like this if enough people want it?
As a desktop Mac user who is doing mainly office / development work (editors, shell, ...) - what is the benefit of having 120Hz monitor while most of the time watching static screen? Putting aside slightly higher power drain when on 120Hz (I'm guessing it shouldn't be more than +10% when in 120Hz). Asking without irony - just curios as none of my displays has >60 Hz.
For me personally it's very jarring because I use my 120Hz MacBook ProMotion screen to the left, and my monitor in the centre (like in the video). I notice the difference in refresh rates immediately and it almost makes me feel a bit ill switching between the two. You are correct in thinking that if the screen is static you won't notice the higher refresh rate. But whenever your mouse moves around, you scroll, move apps around, or introduce ANY motion, you will immediately notice it. And that's before any gaming. There are a lot of people who either game casually on their Mac, or have a secondary Windows machine at their desk. This monitor is great for those dual-setup situations.
Well, compare to MacBook screen, which is extremely sharp to read the text, Dell is terribly blur… even OSD menu font is terrible. I very regret buying it..
Thanks for the video, seriously considering getting this. One question, if I’m using it with a Mac mini and don’t need all the extra ports of the DE, would the D give the same results? It’s £100 cheaper. The main thing I’m wondering is, will the lack of thunderbolt cause less quality? Or will the display port look the same? Thanks, Eli
This monitor is also available in 4K, but then only 60Hz, not 120. However, if you use a Mac, you don't want 4K at 27". At 27-28", you want either 2.5K or 5K. If you want 4K with a Mac, go up to 34-42". Fractional display scaling in Mac is atrocious.
@@rightwingsafetysquad9872 I really don't understand this at all. 4k at 27 inches has (minor) problems sure. But 1440p is worse. At one to one scaling MacOS looks worse than at 4k scaled. You can see it even in the video above.
Question for you, can you use two of these monitors or even three of these monitors to extend to dual or triple monitor displays for both Mac and PC? If so that’s a game changer, I’ve only found one dock station that can do that for both and again with the Mac, the last monitor won’t have the same refresh rate and image quality. Thanks!
Great video, thank you ! What do you think about the Dell 27 4K S2722QC (when compared to the Dell U2724DE and the Dell U2723QE) ? It might not have all the ports and the contrast ratio but struggling to see how the price difference can be justified. Would appreciate your thoughts on this !
It's a good budget alternative. Note that I would budget around $150-$200 for a good desktop dock. So if you do need a dock, and don't have one already, the U2724DE (or the 4K U2723QE) might actually make more financial sense. I've completely replaced my desktop dock with my U2724DE.
4K - 1080p 5K 1440p 6K 1692p - These or at least something you can ideally scale 2x is needed. Running native isnt a great option because of how MacOS renders the UI elements, especially text. I want the space ofa 1440p desktop so 5K or higher is my only option, but they dont exist in 120Hz+ variants yet - hopefully at CES some get announced. I'd love 6K-8K 32" 120Hz+ but i'd take 3 5K's over 1 6K+ display any day to replace the current 3 1440p ones i have
I am actually planning to buy a 27in for Windows and MBA (M1) setup. Does this have the scaling issues identified with most of the other monitors when connecting to Macbooks ? I heard MBA (M1) scales better with 4K than QHD. But i also need for the office setup so am afraid 4K would show very small icons etc, thereby creating eye strain.
How does it compete against the Benq ma270u which is in the same price range, almost the same features (except 60Hz) and is specifically "designed for" Mac?
I've owned many Dell monitors and one thing I continue to hate is the port placement, making accessibility very difficult and frustrating if you switch cables or move monitor from room to room a fair bit. if inly Dell would put the whole port block on a bar that rotates 90º to face directly out so you can read/see/find then port you are looking for.
Thank you for the review! Bought the monitor Dell U2724DE after seeing this review :) But what I found is the colours are much more different from ipad pro colours and mac colours. Its too warm and green. I've tried to manually set the colours in "Preset Modes -> Custom Color" and I cant manage to get similar colours to mac. Same thing happens with Ubuntu, maybe the one that looks better is Windows. Any ideas? Thx
Honestly, the BenQ PD3225U blows this out of the water, especially for Mac compatibility. It is double the price, but the color accuracy and the plug-and-play look and feel make it worth it. The only thing missing for me is the ethernet port.
What about the Dell U3425WE? Has the same ports in the back and thunderbolt 4 as well. Also is 1440p and 120hz. I would prefer andOLED such as the LG but $1200- $1300 is still a but high and I prefer a 34" as it works in my current setup. I don't need a display for gaming just productivity for working from home. Also agree that on a Mac a 4k display is not going to be much of a benefit. 1440p usually is perfectly fine for the use case. Now for a gaming rig, totally different. I would be looking at the LG you just reviewed.
@CreatedTech But they don't have it in 32" 🤷♂️😟 It will mainly be used mostly music production (Logic/Cubase), so I think sharpness and clarity... What would you recommend instead for my upcoming Mac Mini M4 Pro?
Help me out on this one: as an editor who works with colour and video what would be a good monitor for me, currently I’m thinking of the Dell U2723QE mainly because of the hub it has, are there any better options? I looked at the lenovo P27u-20 but is there any others?
Good job, I always enjoy your videos. Just a quick question: the test clarity that you did with the 4k image was scaled to 1440p or was the 4k original? Thank you in advance and keep up the good work.
Funny, I just ordered this 2 days ago, coming tomorrow. I'm actually changing my OLED for this, since I need the builtin KVM convenience, and miss the 27" size.
I got rid of my 4K 144Hz OLED and replaced it with this. The USB Hub and KVM were just too good and I honestly (surprisingly) don't mind the 1440p resolution.
Do you have a 4K 60"+ UHDTV w/ a 5.1 or Atmos entertainment system. Put youe M$ or Mac Book near it Connect the HDMI cable use a Bluetooth KB/Mouse from your Recliner. Get Great Sound and a Big 4K pictuer.
I do not understand why this monitor is not 4k. I have owned 2,5k displays before, but nowdays with Retina like displays everywhere, 4k is the bare minimum for me.
I would like to buy a Mac Mini M4, but I'm worried that my display might not be properly adjusted. There are so many different opinions about displays that I no longer know what’s true, especially related to problems with 4K 32" monitors. I’m not sure if a 32-inch display with 140 PPI will have sharp text and no scaling issues. I am confused, but for sure build KVM is the best thing and I can't work without that feature.
If you read texts daily, I would not recommend a 32" 4K monitor. Way too pixelated for reading. Photographers I know need that size and don't bother about PPI. 27" 4K monitor is best at the moment for the price you pay. It's sharp enough cos you naturally sit further away from a desktop monitor as compared to a laptop. 27" 5K is a luxury item.
I relatively recently picked up the Alienware AW3225QF 32" 4K QD-OLED monitor. I've seen the Studio and Pro Display XDR monitors in stores and honestly, I don't understand why people find the scaling on those monitors so much better. Especially when considering the Alienware is so much cheaper and better for gaming and HDR, plus 240Hz, it's very difficult for me to justify Apple's displays. 🤷♂
@ That’s totally fair! Asus has another one that I looked at with the same panel that isn’t curved which’ll be better for some people. Personally never found the curve to be an issue. This is my second curved monitor.
@@cadenchurchill4296 I work with graphic design, UI and UX stuff and I just can't work with my designs being bend, it just feels so weird looking at. But for gaming it's different and definitely feels more immersive.
Nothing new here with this panel. This the same panel as the two year old LG27UQ850W because LG provided this label to them. So, the IPS Black is actually LGs tech. Just buy the LG. Its cheaper.
This objectively IS NOT the best Mac monitor. Due to Mac's own speciality resolutions and lack anti-aliasing for text, you are going to get jagged edges and things will look fuzzy. At 27 inches you need to go to a 4k monitor and scale to 1440p in order to get the sharpest display.
@@BlueHawk80 I also own one. That's how I know it looks like crap. You don't need to spend anywhere near $1600 on a Studio display. You couls spend as little as $300 for any QHD display or $800 for the Asus ProArt 5K monitor that uses the exact same panel as the Studio Display.
Don’t know what monitors you using, but my Benq PD27 and LG 27 all look very sharp and not blurry at all. In fact, I’m upgrading to this monitor. You don’t need a 5K to get the best results. 4K is just fine for photos and video editing which is what I do. Never had any issue with any monitors. I’ve seen videos trying to call out the scaling issue. It’s not a big deal at all. 😂
Edit: Can you do some check please? I went to Dell's website and it seems that it has some crazy differences based on if you choose the 1440p and 4k, such as the Power Delivery of 90W. on The 1440p you can add it as extra bed that increases the price by a lot Which is also the case if you choose IPS vs IPS Black , which you loose PremierColor I believe those things should have been highlighted here. They are not small differences 1. on the 1440pvs4k . the less of a difference seemed to prove you wrong when you showed the Text comparison though. That ia a huge difference. 2. On the comparison you left out the most important candidate the Gigabyte U27 which has KVM and a few ports, but most important it has 4k@120Hz. Which is a serious omission from the Dell. Dell seems to have gone half way here.
Website differences: You cannot choose "1440p OR 4K". They are completely different monitors. Just like if you choose IPS vs IPS Black. Dell's website sucks and doesn't make this obvious. Make sure you check the model name in the right corner after clicking on a different option. 1. That comparison was with the camera less than 10cm (4 inches) away from the screen. At normal viewing distance the difference is much less noticeable, but this is impossible to demonstrate in a TH-cam video. 2. True, I could have compared the U27. But I have never personally owned or used it so didn't want to include it as an alternative in this video. All the other monitors I compared I've extensively used and tested. Maybe I will review the U27 in the future though.
@@CreatedTech Website differences: Oh dear, I have not noticed the different model. I thought it was the same model with different sizes etc. Apologies for that, and thank you for pointing that out
Hey dude, thanks for your video! Dumb question: if I connect my Mac M3 PRO on the thunderbolt port, will I be able to plugin my USB-A webcam to the monitor hub? Also, is the 90w enough juice for the 16 inch ? (I know it comes with a 140w charger)
Thanks for the video! I have 2 questions) 1. What does KVM here ? Every monitor has functionality to switch between multiple inputs no matter hdmi or dp, 2. How do you compare this monitor to Huawei mateview 28 ?
1. KVM means that when you switch the display input, it automatically connects the USB hub to that computer so your keyboard, mouse, and network travel to the computer you're using. 2. Huawei doesn't exist in North America.
Great video, thanks! I would be connecting a Mac Mini m4 and a Windows Laptop. In my case, I'd want to connect the thunderbolt (1 cable) to the Windows Laptop so it gets the power. Is there any real performance hit by connecting the Mac Mini to one of the upstream USB-C connections for data (keyboard, mouse, etc connected to the monitor) and maybe HDMI or Thunderbolt to Displayport for the video? Would buy this immediately if there were two upstream thunderbolt ports for this purpose. Also, how fiddly is it to switch computers with the kvm? I currently have a dual USB-C (not thunderbolt) Anker KVM.
Shouldn't be any noticeable performance hit. Attach any superfast external drives directly to the Mac Mini, that will really be the only noticeable thing in your scenario. Switching computers with the KVM is fast and simple, I show a clip of it in the video. Takes 2 clicks of the menu button and about 2 seconds.
Wow Great video. I am enlightened. But I am confused on screen size. I was planning to buy an 27 inc 4k (3840x2160 resolution) monitor for mac mini. but its the 1.5x of 2560x1440 resolution. apple display has 5120x2880 resolution. apple display works by doubling the 2560x1440 resolution. but 3840x2160 is not the half of apple display. so mac system gives some problem while scaling it. it causes some bluring or freezing. thats what i understood. fix me if i am wrong. and what should i do ? should i buy a 27 inc 2560x1440 resolution monitor ?

Dell has come a long way with their panels. I like the Dough, but the USB-hub and KVM in the Dell is just soooo good that I'm not sure if I would go back.
I'm crazy impressed by the docking option. Do any other highly rated monitors have a similar docking setup?
About ~10Gbps to spare (which in most cases is fine but what’s the point of having 10Gbps I/O if you can only use one of them at full speed at a time ¯\_(ツ)_/¯)
Honestly, this monitor has been on my radar all year and I do intend to get it. I would much prefer 4k over 1440p, but as a photographer that uses a Mac for my own work, PC for my other, and want a single cable solution from my laptop(s) to the setup… this is almost perfect
That's pretty informative bro. I was wondering what you meant by 4k @ 120hz would pretty much saturate a thunderbolt 4 connection.
How about the PD2725U?
Wish they had more than just one measly USB-C downstream port though. Most of the accessories I want to connect to my monitor are USB-C
If I go for U2723QE and set to 2k mode, is the display going to be the same as U2724DE ? Please confirm
U3225QE coming in February folks :)
Have a MacMini but a Windows laptop for work. This monitor may just be the perfect fit! Thanks for the review and breakdown!
Glad to hear it's helpful!
Can you do a comparison between this and benq MA27U?
With 5k resolution for proper scaling this would be killer
Great timing. Got an ultra wide, will retun to get another Dell 4K
Me to?
Which is for the best for MacBook 14 pro
I was waiting for a review like this.
A good monitor for MacOS could be something like:
• 38" (235 ppi) or 40" (223 ppi)
• 8064 x 3840 (scaled 4032 x 1920) @ 12-bit @ 60 Hz
• Thunderbolt 5 display connection (80 Gbps / 120 Gbps)
• Matte screen (nano texture)
• HDR1500, Mini-LED
That would require a bandwidth within TB5 spec and yield the desirable Retina target size:resolution
Can Dough deliver something like this if enough people want it?
I love my Dell U2723QE. Such an awesome monitor, and super crisp even at 2k (1440p) res on my 14" MBP M1 Pro. Higher refresh would be nice though.
Thanks, Eli
You won't notice any quality difference between DisplayPort and Thunderbolt.
@@CreatedTech Awesome, thanks mate
Would this be a good monitor for a Mac mini M4?
Was loving it until you got to the 1440 not 4K. Big thumbs down sadly..
actually dell have 4k hub monitor also no need to thumb down this one is 23model DELL 27'' U2723QE 4K USB-C hub monitor
@@muratcankilic60hz
This monitor at $450 is a horrible value considering we've had 27" monitors that are 4k and 165+ Hz for like 5 years.
10:27 From where to get this wallpaper ? Please share download link
2.5 GB Ethernet is a nice touch.
The title was a lie. A QHD monitor at 27" is never going to be the best Mac monitor. Your setup looks sweet though.
Is it better in your opinion than Dough Spectrum One?
Is there a monitor with a built-in KVM switch that keeps both computers connected at the same time?
A reviewer that isnt sponsored by the company that made the product that hes reviewing. You dont see that very often nowadays. Cheers!
Still waiting for a 5K 120 Hz display with 99% DCI P3. That would be the ultimate monitor for Mac.
I'd love 6K-8K 32" 120Hz+ but i'd take 3 5K's over 1 6K+ display any day to replace the current 3 1440p ones i have
Why is so difficult to get that same thing but at 4k, 120hz with glossy finish
same brother i am serching and find nothing comparable..
Wait a minute, I saw that pc hiding in the corner!! Will you be doing a video about your pc build ? Regardless, great video 👏
Thanks for the video! This was very helpful for me. I was wondering about the above monitor light. Which one is that?
BenQ Screenbar Plus
@ thank you! What do you recommend for video conferencing given the light bar occupies the space above the monitor? Thanks for your help!
does the thunderbolt 4 connection imply that it will charge your laptop when connected?
Thunderbolt 4 does not automatically mean charging. However for this monitor it does like I mentioned in the video.
I appreciate the response! Thank you!
Buy a laptop
Thank you for the review! Bought the monitor Dell U2724DE after seeing this review :) But what I found is the colours are much more different from ipad pro colours and mac colours. Its too warm and green. I've tried to manually set the colours in "Preset Modes -> Custom Color" and I cant manage to get similar colours to mac. Same thing happens with Ubuntu, maybe the one that looks better is Windows. Any ideas? Thx
1440p 27" is bad for macOS. It should have 4k 27" 120hz. so you can easily scale monitor resolution to 2x and get sharper text and icons.
The reality is literally the complete opposite of what you've just said 😂.
Honestly, the BenQ PD3225U blows this out of the water, especially for Mac compatibility. It is double the price, but the color accuracy and the plug-and-play look and feel make it worth it. The only thing missing for me is the ethernet port.
Blows it away? In what way? Where's your data to prove it? Do you have these monitors side by side to compare?
1440 P and 4k surprisingly different i really dont get why Dell going down instead of up. Connectivity is brilliant but 1440P is disappointing.
"1440P is unacceptable", first time I've read such a statement lol 😂
There is 4K model U2723QE with basically same functions. It only lacks 120 hz panel and TB4 connection that are probably included in 2025 model.
Between this one and benq pd2706u what do you think is worth buying?
What about the Dell U3425WE? Has the same ports in the back and thunderbolt 4 as well. Also is 1440p and 120hz. I would prefer andOLED such as the LG but $1200- $1300 is still a but high and I prefer a 34" as it works in my current setup. I don't need a display for gaming just productivity for working from home. Also agree that on a Mac a 4k display is not going to be much of a benefit. 1440p usually is perfectly fine for the use case. Now for a gaming rig, totally different. I would be looking at the LG you just reviewed.
Hi, how well is the automatic brightness / ambient sensor in this monitor? Is it as good as Apple implementation?
I have a new Macbook pro and need two monitors to view architectural drawings. Please tell me which of these two I should purchase. Thank you so much.
@CreatedTech
But they don't have it in 32" 🤷♂️😟
It will mainly be used mostly music production (Logic/Cubase), so I think sharpness and clarity...
What would you recommend instead for my upcoming Mac Mini M4 Pro?
should have added an sd card reader as well!
Hey, man. Thanks for the review.
Do you know by any chance if this monitor supports brightness adjustment from a keyboard?
Use betterdisplay or displaybuddy
I just got a BenQ MA series monitor, and it lets me control the brightness with my keyboard!
There are apps like displaybuddy and betterdisplay that let you control brightness from Mac keyboard of most modern monitors.
@
Sadly, I believe this is the only brand that lets you do this.
Try displaybuddy or betterdisplay which allow Mac keyboard controls to work on mist modern monitors
Both monitors were set to “Default” in the scaling settings within the “Display” menu.
Funny, I just ordered this 2 days ago, coming tomorrow. I'm actually changing my OLED for this, since I need the builtin KVM convenience, and miss the 27" size.
I got rid of my 4K 144Hz OLED and replaced it with this. The USB Hub and KVM were just too good and I honestly (surprisingly) don't mind the 1440p resolution.
can you use dual monitor with mac m2 chip for separate images if you use hdmi connection on one monitor and another cord for the other monitor ?
I have the old 4K version and it is perfect for photo editing.
Does it have perfect scaling at 4K resolution? Are UI elements on Mac slightly blurry?
no
on lowdpi mode macos looks like sh*t
Do you have a 4K 60"+ UHDTV w/ a 5.1 or Atmos entertainment system. Put youe M$ or Mac Book near it Connect the HDMI cable use a Bluetooth KB/Mouse from your Recliner. Get Great Sound and a Big 4K pictuer.
is that any issues with scaling if I use this 27” with Mac mini??
What's the brand name / model of the white desk light you are using?
Is this an upgrade from the Eve/dough spectrum monitor? That one has the 4K at 144hz but I don’t want to run into scaling issues. Thank you!
I do not understand why this monitor is not 4k. I have owned 2,5k displays before, but nowdays with Retina like displays everywhere, 4k is the bare minimum for me.
@CreatedTech do you have a link for the studio monitor stand 😃
I would like to buy a Mac Mini M4, but I'm worried that my display might not be properly adjusted. There are so many different opinions about displays that I no longer know what’s true, especially related to problems with 4K 32" monitors. I’m not sure if a 32-inch display with 140 PPI will have sharp text and no scaling issues. I am confused, but for sure build KVM is the best thing and I can't work without that feature.
I’m in exactly the same situation… Don’t know what to do anymore. Also can’t afford a 5K monitor.
I currently own studio display, but I am tempted to get two U2724DE to daisy chain. I have M1 air and M1 Max macbook pro. Can I daisy chain?
What studio speaker do you use on your desk?
I relatively recently picked up the Alienware AW3225QF 32" 4K QD-OLED monitor. I've seen the Studio and Pro Display XDR monitors in stores and honestly, I don't understand why people find the scaling on those monitors so much better. Especially when considering the Alienware is so much cheaper and better for gaming and HDR, plus 240Hz, it's very difficult for me to justify Apple's displays. 🤷♂
Great specs for sure, but I personally wouldn't want a curved monitor for productivity.
What's that shooting game you're playing?
hey! which laptop stand are you using? :) tnx!
Nothing new here with this panel. This the same panel as the two year old LG27UQ850W because LG provided this label to them. So, the IPS Black is actually LGs tech. Just buy the LG. Its cheaper.
What is the usecase of Thunderbolt?
Could you recommend me a second monitor to use with Dell U2724DE as a main monitor?
This objectively IS NOT the best Mac monitor. Due to Mac's own speciality resolutions and lack anti-aliasing for text, you are going to get jagged edges and things will look fuzzy. At 27 inches you need to go to a 4k monitor and scale to 1440p in order to get the sharpest display.
That also looks like crap IMO, fractional scaling is horrible on Mac. You really need to go to 5K.
nope, 4K doesnt look like „crap“ and I own one. Its slightly worse, but still better than paying 1600 for a Studio Display, lmao.
@@rightwingsafetysquad9872Your screen name = ZERO credibility
Don’t know what monitors you using, but my Benq PD27 and LG 27 all look very sharp and not blurry at all. In fact, I’m upgrading to this monitor. You don’t need a 5K to get the best results. 4K is just fine for photos and video editing which is what I do. Never had any issue with any monitors. I’ve seen videos trying to call out the scaling issue. It’s not a big deal at all. 😂
Are bezels in fact symmetrical? Because it looks so. I mean the bottom chin is it the same thickness?
Edit:
Can you do some check please?
I went to Dell's website and it seems that it has some crazy differences based on if you choose the 1440p and 4k, such as the Power Delivery of 90W. on The 1440p you can add it as extra bed that increases the price by a lot
Which is also the case if you choose IPS vs IPS Black , which you loose PremierColor
I believe those things should have been highlighted here. They are not small differences
1. on the 1440pvs4k . the less of a difference seemed to prove you wrong when you showed the Text comparison though.
Apologies for that, and thank you for pointing that out
Gigabyte u27 or gigabyte M27?
@@JimsworldSanDiego yeah, M27U
Recommending a QHD monitor for mac is crazy. Text is very bad & blurry. Minimum 4k needed.
People complaining about it not being 4K.
Me who haven't used anything over 1080p…
Hey dude, thanks for your video! Dumb question: if I connect my Mac M3 PRO on the thunderbolt port, will I be able to plugin my USB-A webcam to the monitor hub? Also, is the 90w enough juice for the 16 inch ? (I know it comes with a 140w charger)
Will you have any potential read/write errors with the KVM switch?
Haven’t experienced any myself.
Thanks for the video! I have 2 questions)
1. What does KVM here ? Every monitor has functionality to switch between multiple inputs no matter hdmi or dp,
The scaling on a 4K monitor will cause some very slight blurring, likely not very noticeable by most people. There is no major issue with it though.
@@CreatedTech thanks for the advice.
Any cheaper alternative?
So if I want to use the KVM for two Macs, one will be through Thunderbolt and the other will have to be through hdmi?
Where is your laptop stance from?
