In what way
Free Yourself I have autism too, so I guess it's okay if I answer you. The show really helped me figure out what autism is, and how it affects me. When you get a diagnosis, you just get it, and leave. You never get educated on what it means. And I've been trying to find sources, but they're hard to find. Atypical helped me realise why I'm so obsessed with some things, why I have sensory issues, and why I like traditions (to name a few) And then I just relate to Sam, and I think a lot of autistic people do. It's the representation of autism which is rarely seen in media. (And then it helped me even more in figuring out my sexuality too, but that has nothing to do with this)

I wish the seasons were more than 10 episodes. I'm kinda worried that there won't be a 4th season because almost every Netflix original show ends after 3 seasons.

@@tranntrinh same. They clearly set the show up to end, but it has so much more potential. It can go on to show Sam living with Zahid, Casey going to UCLA (or not making it), and obviously more into the relationship of Casey and Izzie.
And probably if there’s a 4th season it could address Cassie coming out to her parents and to the people in general
@@yayo27 true. I like how real the show is. Everything about it just relates to real world things. It shows that people with autism are still capable of doing everything "normal" people can do. And it goes into the LGBTQ stuff with Cassey and Izzie. I hope it's renewed.

i thought after Sam and Paige broke up in season one, that maybe he would find another girlfriend but I'm glad Paige was still a recurring character because she is so funny and beautiful and their story is really fun. All the characters' stories are so great with their significant other or with their friends.

Started binge watching this show a few days ago. I am HOOKED! I have a 5 year old son on the spectrum and to have a show like this, that all parents of ASD children can relate to, is a fantastic thing! It is so eye opening for everyone in the world around us and I am thankful for that. This young lady is correct when she says that those with Austism are amazing. Now...if we can just teach the rest of the world that...

my parents don't really have a great relationship with each other, my mom always goes to my brother(who has autism) and my dad goes to me. I don't have a great relationship with my mom, but my brother has a stable relationship with both. Whenever Casey gets angry, i relate so much. This show to me is basically my life in a nutshell.
That's why I think this show is so great, because honestly so many people can relate to it and feel seen!
