Cazzie isn’t toxic. Its about character growth. Izzie didn’t want to be public and felt like she had to be straight. The internalised homophobia in Izzie is supposed to be realistic. And in the last episode Izzie genuinely apologises to casey. Its called character growth and it makes the story more realistic. Anyway we’ll see what happens in season 4 with their relationship. I hope they get more screentime

As much as Evan is wonderful for Casey and she clearly loves him, she still isn't fulfilled. I think the reason why she never ends up having sex again with Evan and why she didn't choose him is because she's fully into women. She's not bi, she's a lesbian.
Just finished binging season 3. The ending the great. The wait for season 4 will not be as hard as the wait for season 3 was. If it's possible I love Casey even more now.

I want paige to be less caricature, more like in series 1. I really appreciated Zahid being allowed more depth in Series 3. I will say that I'm not convinced Izzie is a support for Casey, so it would be interesting to see how that goes, and whether izzie matures or how it affects their relationship. Also, how the parents are gonna parent their teenager differently when Casey is dating a woman compared with Evan. No staying overnight or door open etc etc. When obviously all those rules are already broken with izzie.
okay but the real question is will season 4 redeem izzie's character because I love love love fivel and obviously the chemistry between them is fantastic but I think the reason so many dislike izzie right now is because 1) her character wasn't written with a very empathetic light in s3. yes, we know a bit about her family life, but I think they can expand on that so we start to care about who she really is/why she is who she is. I thought the scene where izzie goes over to casey's house when she knew she wasn't there just bc she had the urge to be around a mother who is so loving was a GREAT scene. It was vulnerable and opened izzie's storyline up beyond casey which = more impactful cazzie. I'd love to see her interact more with casey's family or see her own family in s4. 2) her gay panic was written weirdly in s3. the show wrote it so izzie became abrasive and detached during that whole process of grappling with her sexuality in public and then so apologetic in private, but you then need a scene that makes viewers UNDERSTAND her inner turmoil. maybe a scene with just izzie by herself dealing with whatever emotions she has. it makes sense for her to be hot and cold and confused and kiss a guy etc, but with the way she got over it so quickly made her initial fear seem less genuine? ...and if they were going that route then they needed to commit to making her transition from being scared to comfortable KISSING A GIRL IN THE HALLS OF A PRIVATE SCHOOL, they needed to give that transition more screen time in respect for izzie's character bc right now she's kinda not likable. I also think shows in general need more sympathy for the young girl who struggles to come out.

Hmmmm...I thought Brigette was rather convincing in season one as a 'hetero'-ish tomboy. Sexuality exploration is a great coming-of-age storyline/topic but I didn't think the execution of it was totally great (at least in season two, season 3 was a bit of an improvement - although I think Casey could probably do better than Izzy). Knowing now that it was a bit of a course-correction for Brigette as an actor kind of explains why.
I can't even begin to explain how well Brigette played this role so exited for season 4! also this show was so good I finished it in like a week hahaha Casey is my favorite character by far! btw I can not take them seriously with the drawn on sunglasses!!

I think season 3 has a strong sense of independence but I think the biggest quality I'd give it is growth. I feel like many of the characters gained a lot of wisdom this season. Even When they don't know what the right answers are or if they do the right things, going through these situations and dealing with the struggles has pushed them beyond where they were in their lives.
I'm reading the comments and many of you say disrespectful things about they/them pronouns. You talk about chromosomes, pants etc. Brigette uses they/them pronouns because it's what they identify as. They said that they felt "a lil bit boy, a lil bit girl, a lil bit neither". It's about how you feel, not about what you have under your underwear. They just don't feel like a 100% girl. They don't think "she" suits them. They feel out of that. All we should do is just respect Brigette, because it's not our business and we shouldn't spread hate. Yes, they have a girl body. But there's a difference in who you are physically and who you are mentally. Let them be free.

Olivia Rose I respect Brigettes pronouns but people need to stop correcting people when the comment was clearly before they came out. If you can already tell that loads of other people have corrected them and the person that commented was not deliberately being rude, then just leave it because it’s quite annoying

The inclusion pronouns in in English sound very arbitrary and stupid. I can get in Spanish when we say nosotrx but yeah I'm not using they/them for a person.

They are human to, and we need to love and respect each other not make them feel invalid and like their feelings should be decided by you or anyone else. Brigette wants people to use they/them pronouns for them, and we should, to show that we respect them, as we should respect everybody.

Yesterday i just watched the hole series non stop for the first time ever.
I’m all for being yourself but I’m mad that Casey dumped Evan for Izzy. Izzy was embarrassed of Casey and they brushed it off after one kiss in public like that changes anything. Evan was really sweet and I’m glad they made up in the end, but I’m salty about Izzy.
This is such a good interview.
