I actually like Izuka as a character, no tragic backstory, not a single redeeming quality, yet not delusional like Lekain. He knows he's evil and doesn't care.
I like what Volke says if you recruit him with Bastian lmao. Bastian's just struck by how cheap his fee is and Volke's response is, "I don't like that guy." It's honestly one of the most memorable moments of the game to me.
Seeing this rat of man escape iin PoR and then having to deal with him in part 1 was too much. Yes Zihark, please crit astra adept disarm him, i never want to see this man again.

Wich makes sense, he's an assassin, and probably decently old at this point (I'd comepare to Agent 47 from Hitman, who is currently in his mid-fifties as of the current game. Volke's probably not that old, but you get the picture.) so of course he'd be set in his ways and not really willing to change. Or maybe you mean Development as in knowing more about him, and in that case, I kinda agree. I would like to know more about him.

I assume it's less because he wants money and more because he is placing a value on life. If he charges too little, then people will just use him all the time. It's worth noting that 3000 to kill Izuka is shockingly low for his usual service fees. Izuka's life is worth very little. As for the 100,000 to explain that, it's just a subtle way of saying "shut up".
I theorized there should be a sequel of sorts that takes place in Hatari and some new countries and Volke would be one of the few familiar faces in the story. Perhaps the answer could be revealed then.

I think war war 2 scientist might have similar enough stories that they might have been able to pull from either. Did anybody else give Bastian a French accent when playing this and PoR? Also, in my head I had imagined Tibarn to have Joe's (Family Guy) voice. I was kinda disappointed when it wasn't lol.

Off topic, but I love it when people do that in fiction and the person they're talking to actually HAS that kind of money and agrees. ...Even more off-topic, but this happened in real life with Arthur Conan Doyle. He never wanted to write Holmes stories again after the first collection, so when the Strand magazine asked him to do more, he asked for 1000 pounds (a lot back then), hoping they'd stop bothering him. They agreed.
Also, assuming the cost of weapons is canonical, he asks for much less than what the equipment he brings does. So he might want so much cash, due to him giving enormous discounts on the down-low, when he is hired to aid a cause he believes in. I could be way off tho.

Bastian's is great! I love how disturbed Izuka is when Bastian says that he'll dissect his brain, even though Izuka has done even worse to the Laguz!
That's why I called it counter irony. Love how he uses Izuka own words and methods on herself.

I remember when I played this chapter and I didn't have enough gold. Volke basically said "fuck you" and left the map.
Yeah it's kind of silly when that happens. You also lose a pretty good combat unit.
I think Volke's is the best. Short, and to the point.
Shame Leathality can't proc on Izuka. Would be so satisfying to pull that off.

In path of radiance you can see the aftermath of a heron trial on the bandit and priest chapter (22 i think?) It was conducted on a female royal heron

Deciding to go for it and beelining for Izuka with Volke and getting a Silencer is basically the sexiest possible skill activation you can get.
