    Thanks Bob. The trick of inking the back and making a line with a square is a wonderful tip I wouldn't have thought of.

      Yep. I use this technique not just for cambering, but for lots of things. Try it when you’re flattening the back of a chisel or plane iron too. It will really highlight the low spots.
