Sorry, Metro s across the world(UK, Canada, France, China) are run in losses(on govt subsidies & grants), if you just account running cost and not account the cost it saves by addressing other problems which surface in its absence. Its not me who realized it, Thales(company which works with metros across the world including Hyderabad) employee told me this.
