    A few questions:
    1. Does it matter how you dry the poly t ? Such as air dry or dryer?
    2. On the second round of polyt, I didn’t see you put a silicone mat in between the shirt. Did you forget or is that ok because it was a lighter mist?
    3. Would you wash your shirts before shipping, if selling them?
    Thank you for your great video!

    • @LorrieNunemaker
      @LorrieNunemaker  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes you should follow directions (not air dry) and the silicone mat just protects the back from getting more moisture. You really don’t need it in that second layer because it’s not thick enough to penetrate especially when you press it immediately to dry

    Is there a way to do sublimate 100% cotton WITHOUT sublimation printer or dangerous poisonous chemicals? I want to sublimate baby onesies 100% cotton. Tried siser easy subli but it is garbage unless you print directly to the vinyl. Heating pre designed infusible ink to siser is garbage look terrible. • @Chocalateable
      @Chocalateable 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Strings Attached Sublimation is a form of printing on objects and materials. Most of it is done on shirts, hats, cups, key chains, glass etc... You have to have a special type of printer, ink and paper in order to sublimate. It sort of binds into the material and the items last longer and are more vivant than basic heat transferring. Basically, it is a specific process of printing on special paper to transfer the image INTO the material, primarily polyester or poly blends. This spray helps to be able to sub onto cottons and/or materials with a lesser polyester count. Sublimation is very popular now and is fun to do. Trust me you will LOVE it once you learn it. You can probably go back and watch some more of her videos' and find as much info as you will need. I wish you the best.

    • @LorrieNunemaker

That’s why i said it’s not a yes/no question. If you’re using a 50/50 blend shirt 50% of the inks (the ink on the cotton) will wash out but the ink on the 50% polyester will never wash out whether it’s 90% poly or 10% that doesn’t change

    HI question have you tried to use this on black cotton shirts yet to sublimate to see if it works?

      You can sublimate in black but it won’t show up. Sublimation ink is transparent. It would be the same as If you used an ink pen on a black shirt - the ink is there but you really can’t see it

    Would that spray work with Cricut infusible ink on cotton?

      I was wondering this too. I'd guess yes because it's the polyester content that you need.

    I was told don’t use fabric softener or (tide) pod detergent

      I use both in my laundry and have not had an issue but I did not prewash

      @@LorrieNunemaker thank you for the update...this recommendation came from DyePress (as her personal experience). I’ll try it myself so I can adjust my care labels for resell.

      I would love to see some of the shirts after they have been washed several times.

    Is parchment paper and butcher paper used for the same thing for sublimation?

    • @LorrieNunemaker
      @LorrieNunemaker  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Butcher paper is preferred. It is more absorbent. Parchment paper is often coated which can trap in moisture.

      It’s always a good idea and practice to put something inside. I’ve never had an issue but better safe than sorry

    Thanks Lorrie. Really enjoyed this video as it was the best informative. Can I also use the product on other colors, such as orange and red?
