I completely agree, Frisky! We had a blast playing on Monday, and what made it even better was having all the new players there to swell our ranks! Thanks for the comment and have a great evening!
I saw that at first, then all I saw was some obeying orders and others just charging into the battle and getting cut to pieces. I was one of the cut to pieces soldiers just running blindly up the hill and looking at the rocks over there with tiny little people aiming their muskets at me and next thing I was dead. This game has no room for formal training, although it was fun for awhile to join in one group as they drilled with formation and bayonet training. I only saw one occasion where we charged with bayonets and I was stabbed from behind. Nice game, a little too realistic minded for "fun". And, might not want to add those apps to your computer so quickly (you know the ones, the recruiting head-hunters who lure you to their website in weird fascination you just wanted to have a look, but then bugs and ads for more apps and then donations and buy stuff and spend real money!!! The world is a complicated place today.
Played it for the first time yesterday and I’ve never been that interested in the civil war and I didn’t think a game with that style of combat would be fun, but was I wrong, it really gives off the impression that you’re in a war and that you could die any moment by a stray round and that the only reason you’re alive is by a stroke of luck, also the chaos of the volleys, bayonet charges and everything is utterly insane and PTSD inducing and the teamwork is awesome as well I can’t wait for further updates
Howdy, Norse! Words cannot express how ecstatic I am to see that you enjoyed this game, eh? Honestly, this game holds a special place in my heart, and I am absolutely elated that we can finally share this game with a broader audience like yourself. Well done, sir, and I am looking forward to taking the field of battle with you in the future!
That would certainly be an interesting addition, CJ. We do have several drill camp servers, but that involves actually having people to give commands and/or drill the new players. Many regiments run drill on a regular basis, but if you don't have a regiment to join, many people miss out on learning the basics.
Has anyone ever played History Channels Civil War A Nation Divided? That’s what I grew up playing that got me into loving everything about the civil war, I’m sad though that my computer graphics card is a NVIDIA GTX 940 and I need a 970. This game will be the game I play on my death bed
Howdy, Foul! I completely forgot about that game, eh? Talk about a trip down memory lane. You know, a 940 might be able to run this game on very low settings so it may be worth checking out. At the very least, you can always refund it before the 2-hour mark should the game not run well. Thanks for commenting!
Howdy, Faez! Thanks for the commenting! Player controlled cavalry and artillery will be added during the Steam Early Access so I will be sure to post a video as soon as those features are in the game.
I bought the game last night as a Christmas gift to myself and boy am I glad that I did. I am absolutely loving it. It's amazing to me that the officers are able to coordinate the troops so well (most of the time). I highly recommend it for anyone, especially people who enjoy role-playing in games.
Howdy, BP! Glad to see that you are having a great time! This game is surely a blast, no pun intended, and is a lot more fun when an officer can properly coordinate the players around him or her. Thanks for writing such a glowing review and we appreciate your support! See you on the battlefield!
Howdy, Along! Player controlled artillery is a feature that the developers have already confirmed will be in-game in the future! I can't wait to give a Napoleonic 12-Pounder a try in a future update, eh? Thanks for commenting!
0:32 is the best advice given. That guy always picks officer and gets people to listen to him because he has Lieutenant in his name. He follows me into servers it seems like and always costs my team the match. Awful officer and tactician.
Sorry to hear that you had such trouble, Jacob! I haven't seen he who shall not be named in a while, but I assure you, he's a good officer a good portion of the time. Must be a little rusty as he hasn't been on in a while! ;) Leadership aside, did you have fun? What do you think of the game?
Calibrated.Core Yes, I suppose that I was being very negative. I do appreciate that even though his plans aren’t the best, he at least tries for organization. My big problem is that sometimes he sacrifices the objective for keeping order. Sometimes a late push is necessary to win, and I am tired of losing close games because our main lines refused to push objectives. Other than that, it’s fun even though we lose. This is my first PC game and I am loving it. Having a great time and its helping my game on console shooters that I play. I’ve learned to take my time more. Great community!
In my defense sir, I try to lead whenever given the opportunity because as Calibrated Core here said I haven't been on in sometime. But please, if you have any issues with how I'm going about a battleplan or whatever talk with me and I will be sure to listen to any advice or feedback you might have. I don't know if I'm a good officer or not. I just do my best to keep everyone working together. I also don't think I force people to listen to me because of my rank? I just ask them to fall in line and if they do then I lead them.
@@Niroc98 Yeah, I was too harsh on you. I just wish you would be more aggressive when leading your lines. I have followed you in game four or five times and each time we lose because you dont push the line up to the point. Be a little more aggressive and you are good to go. Like I said in my response to calibrated, I do appreciate the fact that you do try and organize people. Better than everyone ramboing. Just be more aggressive. I apologize for my harshness. EDIT: I also didn't mean to imply that you are forcing people to listen to you, I meant that because you have 1st lieutenant in your name people automatically follow you, and because of the above mentioned problem, we have a hard time getting a line on the point.
Glad you had a great time, Prarp! Yes, the game does have the odd deployment issue and the loading can take a few minutes, but that's definitely something we can fix during Early access! Onwards and upwards!
Please remember people you don't spawn with a loaded rifle and your adjustable rear sight needs to be reset to where you want it every spawn too. 100 yards 300 yard or 500 yard set points on some of the rifles. Others are a little different.
Sound advice, DeJA! I've been advocating to spawn with a loaded musket for some time now, so hopefully, that will change in the near future! Thanks for that fantastic reminder and thanks for commenting!
I didn't even realize its out already, I backed it years ago and lost track of it, I just found my key while browsing through my emails, now I'm hyped😅
@@CalibratedCore I'm so glad I found the key, I found the game earlier this year and was surprised how far they were already, maybe we'll see us on the battlefield! :)
Your videos got me interested in the game. I took the plunge and got it today and joined 1st Texas! Thanks for covering such an interesting game. Hope to see you on the battlefield soon!
Howdy, AB! Outstanding, brother! Looking forward to fighting alongside you in the near future, and thank you very much for the support, my friend. I hope you enjoy this game as much as I do! :)
Howdy, Mar!! Great to hear from you, sir! Thank you very much for the feedback. It was truly a pleasure seeing so many new players give this game a shot, and I certainly enjoyed helping them throughout the first day of the game's release into Early Access. See you on the battlefield, my friend!
Is this the kinda game where you really need to join a clan or is it perfectly playable without? I’m just looking for a good civil war game without having to make commitments to playing.
DeJA Vu Sailing cool, I played a few games based on this sorta era of combat and almost all of them were played only by clans. Will have to buy when I get my computer back. Thanks for letting me know!
Howdy, Dio! No, this is not the type of game where you need to join a clan or regiment, but is HIGHLY Encouraged if you want to participate in our bigger community events and have a blast doing so! Participating in a regiment is a rewarding experience and teaches you not only the fundamentals of the game but authentic battle drill and ceremony that is true to the Civil War. You do NOT have to make any commitments to play with anybody, so just get out there, find a line and have some fun! See you on the battlefield!

That last volley at 17:58 was brutal. It actually looked like you guys knew what you were doing. xD I'm downloading the game on Steam right now in fact.
Yes, that volley, in particular, was absolutely devastating! Ha-ha, we definitely try our best to look like we know what we are doing, eh? Thank you very much for the comment and the support. I am looking forward to fighting alongside you in the future, and I will see you on the battlefield!
Gotta say I’ve been playing WoR since it was released on steam and I’m loving every minute of it, already have our own 5th Texas Company starting up. We’ll see the 1stTX on the battlefield! #TexasFTW
Glad you are having a blast, iDa! That makes me ecstatic to hear that you are having such a great time with this game, as it's certainly a unique experience in the world of gaming. Looking forward to fighting with the 5th Texas Company and I will see you soon, brother! TEXANS MOVE EM!
Thanks for commenting and the support, Scrat! Melee is undoubtedly a mechanic that needs to be worked on in my opinion. Fortunately, the developers are well aware of the melee issues and have been steadily working on new mechanics these past six months. Only time will tell if they can roll out a better system before something happens akin to Holdfast. Thanks, again!
Howdy, Xihu! Thank you very much for the kind words, brother. I certainly appreciate the comment, and I look forward to fighting by your side soon! See you on the battlefield, brother!
That's pretty cool and I like how they put the attention to detail like how the Union Army looks like a professional Army while the Confederates look like a thrown-together mismatch of militiamen and regular army which is pretty much how the Confederate Army looked
Well stated, Clancy! The Confederates did have access to some equipment and uniforms from the various Southern arsenals, but many wore what they could find when given the chance. Thanks for commenting!
Howdy, Isaiah! Thanks for the comment and the question! There are plenty of regiments to join. Head on over to the War of Rights forums to see what regiments are available to enlist. Actually, head on over to the War of Rights website and select the "Company Tool" to see what regiments are available to enlist into! As for the controls, they can be difficult to learn at first, but press (F1) to see the whole list when in game. Thanks for commenting! See you on the battlefield!
That's an issue that the developers have been working on for a while now, Cope! Hopefully, they'll have a fix for it soon, eh? I tend to just open task manager when I need to close the game, as that seems to be the fastest way to exit right now. Thanks for commenting and sorry to hear you're having such trouble!
Howdy, Phoenix! Just a skirmish mode or what you referred to as a "line battle" mode. Technically, the line battle mode is not a mode, but we play the skirmish games like a line battle. No team deathmatch, my friend. See you on the battlefield!
@@CalibratedCore Ye well. It doenst affect me. I´m used to play Line Battles in Battlegrounds 2, Holdfast: NaW ... so I think I would play a good veteran in this amazing looking game. Thank you for your answer!
@@CalibratedCore Yo mate, are you playing with your "regiment" on public servers too? Or is it possible to join your server when it is for publics? I would die for you if I get the cance to stay with you in line :D
Howdy, Phoenix! Quite a few guys play regularly, so there's always someone from the 1st Texas to play with, eh? Yes, you can join the 1st Texas for public games, too! Just remember, as long as you wear the tags, you are an ambassador of our regiment, so act accordingly! :) C'mon and join the 1st Texas, as I would love to take the field of battle with you, too!
Howdy, Kabari! Ideally, you select a weapon in another screen and you spawn with the weapon you have selected. Unfortunately, this system is not complete yet, and you spawn with a random equipment set. Eventually, you'll be able to choose your gear and spawn in with the selected equipment. Thanks for commenting!
Just bought it and I can't wait. I'm Brazilian but the American Civil War is in my heart and I'm a huge fan. I'm very interested on The Officer and NCO role, how do I manage to become one? Thanks for the vid!
Howdy, Antonio! Thank you very much for the kind words and your support! Welcome to our War of Rights community and thank you very much for joining us. You can select the Officer or NCO role in-game when you join a match. Give it a shot and let me know what you think, eh? Take care, brother! See you on the battlefield!
Absolutely, brother! We strive to present an organized front, and have fun while doing so! Truthfully, the War of Rights community is great. We may have our issues every once and a while, but for the most part, everyone gets along really well. Head on down until you see a person called "Nathan LaBelle" and comment on his posting. He is our Colonel and he would be happy to enlist you into Company H, 1st Texas Infantry Regiment!
If they were to add the Texas rangers and many of their battles throughout the civil war into this game it would be a dream come true for me, also I love how the muskets make a large smoke plume, you can actually use that to you advantage and charge with your bayonets as a surprise attack, as that was common back then with the long reloads until breech loaded weaponry came around, which I hope they also add to this game
But, way more realistic, and a lot more fun to play in my opinion! ;) Way LESS mic spamming, too, ha-ha. Thanks for commenting, brother! See you on the battlefield!
Absolutely, Daniel! Not of our own doing either. I think people just like seeing other people lead, and thus, tend to fall into line as they march to the front. Fortunately, that phenomenon has accounted in the formation of some of the most extensive lines we have seen since the release of Skirmishes almost a year and a half ago.
Howdy, Kodiak! I am ecstatic to see that you love this game and thank you very much for supporting the War of Rights community! See you on the battlefield!
Howdy, Big! Thank you very much for the kind words, brother! :) I try to make the most enjoyable content possible for my viewers, and I am happy to see that you agree! I hope you'll stick around, and please feel free to check out my other videos. Take care!
That's a difficult question to answer, Evan. Most people like the idea of battling in a line, so the incentive would be a person's interest in immersing themselves in an authentic and realistic experience which is devoid of lone wolfing. Of course, you will see new players lone wolfing, as many do not know how to play the game correctly, but that playstyle usually ceases when they hear an officer bellowing orders and they see other players lining up, fighting, and dying with one another on the battlefield. Not to mention, the only time you will see coordinated attacks are when people are working together which in my opinion is a lot more fun than being picked off every time you run up to the front line by yourself.
@@CalibratedCore I googled and it seems there are some aspects to the mechanism of the game that also encourage the style of line type fighting. Seems like it improves morale and decreases the effect of suppression when you are standing next to other players. I assume that means that your stats will be improved (faster reloading? faster run pace? Steadier aim?). Even with those benefits , and the benefit of virtually reenacting these historic events, I am curious to see what would happen if each team broke up into squads of 5 and sought to accomplish objectives that way. It is funny to me to see modern players use combat tactics that are outdated by centuries. I'm also curious how your officers are chosen in the game? Do players vote? Would be potentially annoying for a player with no skills to boss you around for half an hour just to get you killed over and over. I'm not trying to say anything negative of the game, I love games that inspire teamwork (it is why I haven't really enjoyed a first person shooter since BF1942/America's Army. I hope that the teamwork aspect of the game play continues as I am a civil war nerd and would love to play this, just trying to learn more about it as I decide whether or not to purchase!
Howdy, Jerome! Thank you very much for your feedback, brother! Sorry to hear that you don't have a great pc, but the fortunate thing is that there is always room to upgrade! :) Hope to see you on the battlefield!
This game actually looks really fun. I'm actually gonna try this out. Let's hope it will never be ruined by battle royale modes or infected by screaming kids.
Howdy, Andrew! Looking forward to seeing you on the battlefield, my friend! :) I do not believe you are going to have to worry about screaming kids anytime soon. This game takes poise, practice, and discipline, and that may be too difficult for some! ;) To each their own, I guess!
Thanks for the comments, gentlemen! :) Yes, my regiment is the 1st Texas Infantry Regiment. We are a Confederate regiment re-enacting the 1st Texas' role in the Maryland Campaign of 1862 which is what this game is based around! You're certainly welcome to play with us if you would like, Derek? We play both Union and Confederate when needed, so it's never one-sided. Likewise, you are certainly welcome to join us, too, Brian! :) See you gentlemen on the battlefield!
Calibrated.Core thanks for the invitation but I regretfully don’t have a pc or any money. And as an Arkansas boy I’d probably try and join the 3rd Arkansas but if not that another Hood unit (like the 1st Texas) would be on the top of my list
@@BrianHall33 Not a problem, brother! Truthfully, I do not blame you for wanting to fight for your home state's regiment! That's what I did which is why I am in the 1st Texas! ;) Thanks for the reply!
Ha-ha, thanks, brother. I certainly try my best, eh? I was on leave in Florida for a bit, so I have quite a few to catch up to, but I will be done shortly. You all are IMPORTANT to me, so I make it my mission objective to respond to each and every one of you all in turn, time permitting. Thanks for the support and take care!
If 25 % of fresh meet will stay on long haul we will have some great events in future. Cant believed that on Tuesday there was almost 3 full servers. Btw if this is video from Monday I was there with 1st GA fighting u guys. Great video as always. 1st GA A pvt.chris_rog
Yes, I agree with you, Chris! Given that we have been playing for a while, let's make sure we are teaching these new guys how to play the game correctly and fostering an environment that will make them want to stick around longer, eh? The more we provide a welcoming environment, the longer people will stay. I know, right?! I have not been able to check today, but it still seems like quite a lot of people are on. In fact, looks like just around 750+ players which is outstanding. Thank you for helping out on Monday and it is ALWAYS a pleasure playing with you and the 1st GA. Thanks for the kind words and the support, and I will see you soon, brother!
All members of 1st GA r trying to nurse and help new ppl as well I'm sure other well organized regiments doing that too so hopefully lot of them will stay
I wouldn't expect anything less from the 1st GA! :) Thank you very much for your guys' continued support in growing the War of Rights community and please pass on my regards and my compliments to your unit, Chris! Yes, hopefully, a lot of them will stay! Let me know if there is anything I can do to help.
Come join us then, Kel! :) This is one of the most authentic Civil War games released to date, so you will NOT be disappointed! Thanks for commenting and see you on the battlefield!
I've been following this game since they announced it watching videos of you and other channels and waiting for the game to come out in early access in steam and now that it finally does I buy it and I find that all servers are empty or barely there a couple of people, is this game dead already? or it's just coincidence and the players usually get into some particular time. I love the game but it's not a very calm start. Sorry for my english its not my native language
Howdy, Manolo! As Brandon already advised, make sure to join us on the weekends! We have several large community events both on the EU servers and the NA servers throughout the day that fill up one or two servers on average so we would love to take the field with us! Thanks for commenting and hope to see you soon!
No campaign, Guy! The game will consist of two modes which will be "Skirmish" mode and "Historical Battle Mode" and will be all online! :) Thanks for commenting!
Cannot lose the colors or we are ALL dead! 😂 Literally, the flag allows reinforcements to spawn in so standing in the front of the battle line is never a good idea as you draw the most fire! ;) Thanks for commenting, 7234!
The sheer amount of people not listening, charging ahead of the line, not marching correctly, not getting in any sort of formation, treating it as a sniping simulator, standing in lines of fire. New or not, people can speak and/or listen. It's all enough to make me wait until the idiots filter out of the novelty of it releasing on Steam.
People will learn to play all in good time, Basic! :) Just give them a couple weeks to learn the game, and they'll be good to go. See you on the battlefield! :)
Negative, Nairb! It's more of a CPU intensive game than anything, eh? Are you planning to join us on the battlefield? I can give you my best guess whether your rig can run this game or not if you tell me your system specs, eh? Hope to see you soon!
Calibrated.Core I have an i5 CPU and in the device manager display adapter says I have both an Intel hd 4600 and an NVIDIA GeForce 970 (but Rome 2 total war only picks up the he 4600 and runs with potatoe graphics for some reason) any wisdom you can share would be appreciated thx
Howdy, Rogue! That sounds like an issue with your NVIDIA settings not selecting your GPU as the default rendering hardware. Head down to the bottom right corner, right-click the NVIDIA symbol, open your "NVIDIA Control panel" and select "Manage 3D settings." Find the "OpenGL Rendering GPU" and select your graphics card. That option tells NVIDIA to ALWAYS use your GeForce 970. See if that works and let me know! Hope that helps!
@@CalibratedCore Sorry for the delayed response but, I would love to be able to join ya. Just not sure I can. I got windows 8 Nv gtx 760 Cpu i5440 3.10 ghz quad core 8gb ddr3 ?????
Howdy, Ice! I do not recall off the top of my head what specs you need to run the game, but head on over to the War of Rights Steam page, as they have a recommended specs information sheet posted. Thanks for commenting!
I really wish this game would come to console. I’ve heard some mixed reviews as to how good the cooperation would be on console since console players are so accustomed to run and gun. This game seems awesome when it comes to tactical warfare of the time.
Howdy, Dango! I really wish this game would come to console, too, Dango. Honestly, this is one of the most authentic Civil War games on the market, and I truly wish a larger audience was able to experience this incredible addition to historical gaming!
Absolutely, Clifton! The developers are well aware of the need to revamp melee and are steadily working on a new system. In fact, read the excerpt from their newest field report below. This excerpt gives us an interesting look at what they would like melee to look like in the future! 5. Improved melee: Melee is going to be receiving a much needed the overhaul, including the availability of a parry move and animation kill sequences between two players (“kill-moves”) to increase the visual fidelity of close quarter fighting.
Welcome, Sven! :) Thank you very much for the support, brother! Truthfully, I would wager a guess, but I would probably be wrong ha-ha. Tell us... Tell us all who you really are! :D
Hahaha your welcome mate nice channel i stream this game alot lots of fun hope to see you around on the game hit me up on my twitch mate lets make some cool gameplay together
Howdy, Riven! While it may be difficult to see in this video, we actually separated our lines in two and had the other battle line stationed on our left flank. While we took the brunt of the attack, the left flank continued to pour fire into the enemy line which resulted in the enemy having to withdraw or continue to fight and suffer significant casualties. Fortunately, they chose the latter which is why we secured the victory. Thanks for commenting!
Yes, Sir! There are many players that have been playing for the past two years, so they tend to grab the officer and/or NCO class and organize the new players into an efficient fighting force. Definitely come see with your own eyes how amazing this game is, eh? I promise you, you'll have a blast. Thanks for commenting!
Thank you very much for the support, Alice! It truly is nice to see something different given the fact that we have thousands of World War II and/or Modern Combat Games and only a handful of Civil War games which War of Rights, by far, takes the cake for being the most immersive and historically accurate Civil War game to date. Thank you again for your kind words and comment! :)
Seeing from the comments I like how the influx of new inexperienced players coming into the game critically reflects to the overall performance of a unit just like in real life. Say, do you know any of the "elite" regiments within the community?
Well stated, Hannibal, and I think your point is well received. Many new recruits would have been rushed into battle just like we did here, eh? People can drill until they die, but you never know how folks are going to act under pressure or in combat conditions. I am not being biased, but the 1st Texas Infantry Regiment is certainly an "elite" unit. We take our War of Rights gaming seriously, but we also have fun doing so. If you are interested in another regiment, head on over to the War of Rights forums to see who is actively recruiting! :) Thanks for commenting!
Beutifal game, I hope theres a feuture where serious rp people can be matched up with other rp people, and the same for those just looking for a mindless shooter.
No need to wait for a future update, George! All you have to do is buy the game and enlist in one of the already established companies that have been playing for the past two years. Head on over to the War of Rights company tool to see who's recruiting. Thanks for commenting, Sir! warofrights.com/CT_ViewCompanies?nationID=2#companyToolHeader

Shoot... If a game like this can teach history in an unbiased and interesting way, why not?! If this drums up more interest in learning about the Civil War, which it seems to be doing, then I undoubtedly support gaming as an avenue for learning! :) Thanks for commenting, 1M!
Thanks for the support, Bud! Yes, this game is certainly a blast and I know you will like it when you get to play. See you on the battlefield, brother!
Yes, very true NC! This battle in particular only allows us to select two regiments, and I believe North Carolina was one of the options. Thanks for commenting!
you should grab the flag since you dont shoot and only give orders why make someone else have to do it if they want to shoot I mean it fits your play just hold the flag and talk as the second in command
Howdy, Cisco! Just saw your other comment and I completely agree with you. Normally, I am a shooter on the line and had no plans to pick up the colors, but since nobody decided to pick them up, it was my turn to shoulder that responsibility! :) Thanks for commenting!
Not too sure about these guns, Civil War had tons of metallic cartridge rifles and some black powder, the stuff they're using this video is from the Revolutionary War.
Howdy, Julian! Actually, the predominant firearm in the American Civil War was the percussion muzzle-loading musket! However, towards mid-late war, many new technological advancements and manufacturing capabilities allowed both armies to field more modern weaponry, but for the most part, muzzleloaders were still popular and plentiful. Thanks for commenting!
No well I did a bunch of research they are using springfeild modle 1860 muzzleloaders the cartridge rifles were expensive back then so only 1 out of 30 soldiers had them
@@CalibratedCore That's 100% correct. Glad you guys did your research. The US Civil War was fought with muzzle loading rifles, with combatants occasionally brandishing black powder revolvers, i.e. 1860 army, 1851 navy, etc. The guns of yesteryear, such as napoleonic smooth bore cannons and flintlocks were still there, though. Too many people get this Civil War era confused with the "old west" of most gunslinger movies, i.e., Tombstone, Appaloosa, 3:10 to Yuma, which are set in the period after the Civil War. Hence, they think everyone should have a Winchester rifle and a Single Action Army. The recognizable "cowboy action" weapons were not widy available until 1873, and the few repeaters out there were expensive, rare, and generally hard to come by.
@@goshnodo But not common. The most common weapons of the Civil War included the Springfield 1842--a muzzle-loaded smoothbore musket commonly issued in the first year or so as the more modern weapons such as the Springfield 1861 and Enfield 1853(the two most common weapons and both muzzle-loading rifled muskets) we're still rare. The Henrys and Spencers that defined the 'cowboy era' were rare and usually only issued to cavalry. The US Army was never issued a repeating rifle as standard--after the Springfield 1861 the next major standard rifle for the US Army was the Springfield 1873, a single-shot trapdoor-breach loading rifle that was more or less a '61 with a modern firing mechanism for the time. After that they were issued a couple more breech loaders and then the Krag-Jorgensen--the first rifle issued as-standard to the US Army with anything close to the firing rate of a Henry or Spencer was the famous M1 Garand--in the *1930s*.
Howdy, Drew! Yes, I completely agree with you. Having virtually NO communication is absolutely murderous in this game, as there is literally no way to organize a team into an effective fighting force. Thanks for commenting, Drew!
Howdy, Chris! Stay tuned for more footage, as you may could be one of the lucky recipients of a War of Rights copy when I do my giveaway! :) Thank you very much for the support and I am glad you like watching my War of Rights videos. 500 vs 500 would be absolutely amazing, and I can only hope we have the technology to achieve that scale one day. Thanks for commenting!
Thanks for your reply . I've seen several of your videos on this game . Game entertaining to watch . How long is lobby wait time . How do thay keep order instead of everyone going off doing there own thing .
Not a problem, brother! Shoot... If you think this game is entertaining to watch, you should give a try, eh? ;) Lobby time is short as there's no lobby! :) As for keeping order, that can be difficult sometimes because of all the players that are not in dedicated regiments. Most of us are in regiments that have been playing for a while, so we work well together using a dedicated command structure. Otherwise, you may have to yell a little bit to get other people in line! ;) Hope to see you on the battlefield someday soon!
Howdy, Dodo! Unfortunately, there are no plans for War of Rights to be released onto console. However, I do believe that it would be awesome for this game to come out for PS4 given how unique this game is, eh? Thanks for commenting!
Agreed, Foxo! I think console could really benefit with having games like this introduced to the console community because it really showcases an era that has never been really developed before and opens the door to a wider audience of people. Thanks for commenting!

@@CalibratedCore Definitely I think if this game gets more publicity it could become really popular, are you affiliated with the game dev in anyway?

A solid single player campaign might help people learn to take orders
That would certainly be an interesting addition, CJ. We do have several drill camp servers, but that involves actually having people to give commands and/or drill the new players. Many regiments run drill on a regular basis, but if you don't have a regiment to join, many people miss out on learning the basics.
This. This game looks fantastic, but making it multiplayer only kills it for me.
The multiplayer and teamwork is real fun in that game
Has anyone ever played History Channels Civil War A Nation Divided? That’s what I grew up playing that got me into loving everything about the civil war, I’m sad though that my computer graphics card is a NVIDIA GTX 940 and I need a 970. This game will be the game I play on my death bed
Howdy, Foul!
I completely forgot about that game, eh? Talk about a trip down memory lane. You know, a 940 might be able to run this game on very low settings so it may be worth checking out. At the very least, you can always refund it before the 2-hour mark should the game not run well. Thanks for commenting!
Do you think they might add calvary and horse charges?
Howdy, Faez!
Thanks for the commenting! Player controlled cavalry and artillery will be added during the Steam Early Access so I will be sure to post a video as soon as those features are in the game.
@@CalibratedCore How about entrenched positions?
I bought the game last night as a Christmas gift to myself and boy am I glad that I did. I am absolutely loving it. It's amazing to me that the officers are able to coordinate the troops so well (most of the time). I highly recommend it for anyone, especially people who enjoy role-playing in games.
Howdy, BP!
Glad to see that you are having a great time! This game is surely a blast, no pun intended, and is a lot more fun when an officer can properly coordinate the players around him or her. Thanks for writing such a glowing review and we appreciate your support! See you on the battlefield!
actually a multiplayer game that NEEDS teammwork and following orders to win
Absolutely, NS! You'll definitely won't win the day without teamwork or good communication! Thanks for commenting!
So you can't use the cannons? Seems like something they should add, even if it's just an officer issuing orders to an AI artillery unit.
Howdy, Along!
Player controlled artillery is a feature that the developers have already confirmed will be in-game in the future! I can't wait to give a Napoleonic 12-Pounder a try in a future update, eh? Thanks for commenting!

No release date has been set, Cory!
Ha-ha, I have no doubt you will perform beautifully, Ambrose! Make sure to give the Union a try, too, eh? See you on the battlefield!
Must be a little rusty as he hasn't been on in a while! ;)
Leadership aside, did you have fun? What do you think of the game?
Calibrated.Core Yes, I suppose that I was being very negative. I do appreciate that even though his plans aren’t the best, he at least tries for organization. My big problem is that sometimes he sacrifices the objective for keeping order. Sometimes a late push is necessary to win, and I am tired of losing close games because our main lines refused to push objectives. Other than that, it’s fun even though we lose. This is my first PC game and I am loving it. Having a great time and its helping my game on console shooters that I play. I’ve learned to take my time more. Great community!
That was so civil!

Other than the time it takes to joining (loading) and deployment issue, the game was excellent!

Is this the kinda game where you really need to join a clan or is it perfectly playable without? I’m just looking for a good civil war game without having to make commitments to playing.
Don't need a clan just join any server and do as your told
DeJA Vu Sailing cool, I played a few games based on this sorta era of combat and almost all of them were played only by clans. Will have to buy when I get my computer back. Thanks for letting me know!

No, this is not the type of game where you need to join a clan or regiment, but is HIGHLY Encouraged if you want to participate in our bigger community events and have a blast doing so! Looks amazing but how is the melee? Holdfast was a game with great promise but due to bad melee died pretty quick so I'm hoping WoR is not the same :)
Holdfast is also interesting game.Try playing it on the British side and you will see how game is funny with the people you are playing with.

Great to see you, my friend! I sure do, too. It's a fantastic game and I am glad you are here to support us! Thanks for commenting!
Hello lad. I am downloading the game rn as I type. What regiments are there?.. And how hard are the controls?..
All regiments that took part in the Maryland Campaign of 1862.
So in a nutshell: A lot.
Isaiah Little also there aren’t that many controls there’s a few weird key bindings but it’s not as crazy as games like arma
Howdy, Isaiah!

Why is it every time I go to exit the server after playing or quit game my PC freezes up. Every time I click on either of those.

This looks like a good holdfast: nations at war sequel.
But, way more realistic, and a lot more fun to play in my opinion! ;) Way LESS mic spamming, too, ha-ha. Thanks for commenting, brother! See you on the battlefield!
@@CalibratedCore Do people in this game stay in line and listen to commanders in public games, unlike holdfast?
Absolutely, Daniel! Not of our own doing either. I think people just like seeing other people lead, and thus, tend to fall into line as they march to the front. Fortunately, that phenomenon has accounted in the formation of some of the most extensive lines we have seen since the release of Skirmishes almost a year and a half ago.

So what is the incentive to work together and not just run lone wolf?
@@CalibratedCore I live in Egypt so if I get this game will I be able to play with reasonable ping?
@@CalibratedCore Alright thanks! Keep up the content!
Honestly, this is one of the most authentic Civil War games on the market, and I truly wish a larger audience was able to experience this incredible addition to historical gaming!
could they have a better stabbing system? maybe lock players into a bayonet fight, have blocking and different points of attack?
Absolutely, Clifton! The developers are well aware of the need to revamp melee and are steadily working on a new system. In fact, read the excerpt from their newest field report below. This excerpt gives us an interesting look at what they would like melee to look like in the future!
5. Improved melee: Melee is going to be receiving a much needed
the overhaul, including the availability of a parry move and animation kill
sequences between two players (“kill-moves”) to increase the visual
fidelity of close quarter fighting.
SRG in the house her nice video mate got any idea who i am?
Welcome, Sven! :)
Thank you very much for the support, brother! Truthfully, I would wager a guess, but I would probably be wrong ha-ha. Tell us... Tell us all who you really are! :D
Im the streamer from war of rights played lots of games with all of you! SvenRazorGames doesnt say anything to you?
Ooohh, Sven!! I remember you now, brother! Good to see you! Where have you been? Long time no see, eh?! Thanks for following up and jogging my memory!
Hahaha your welcome mate nice channel i stream this game alot lots of fun hope to see you around on the game hit me up on my twitch mate lets make some cool gameplay together
Is this on PS4?
Solely on PC, Anonymous! Sorry about that!
Pretty cool. Fun video.
Thank you very much for the feedback, brother! :) I am glad you enjoyed my video and make sure to check out the new one that I dropped today!
What a slatter, do more flanking movements split your formation into two groups for flanking movement on there position.
Is this available or will be available on console?
Sorry, Karson, PC only, brother!
is every game more or less like this? I mean this well organised? if so I'm going to buy it, cause it looks so much fun
Yes, Sir! There are many players that have been playing for the past two years, so they tend to grab the officer and/or NCO class and organize the new players into an efficient fighting force. Definitely come see with your own eyes how amazing this game is, eh? I promise you, you'll have a blast. Thanks for commenting!
Really Nice Setting, away from this every same WW2 or Modern Combat Games ! Thumbs up
Thank you very much for the support, Alice!
Thanks for commenting!
@@CalibratedCore Thanks for the information too, my good sir!
Anytime, my friend. I am here to serve! Looking forward to taking the field of battle with you, and see you soon!

Windows 10 Home 64 bit
Howdy, Funko!
Yes, your computer should run this game on very high with no issues whatsoever! :) Hope to see you on the battlefield!
2nd like and 360p quality...I love being early! Thank you Calibrated Core!
Ha-ha, you were very early and the first commenter, Augustus! Well done, my friend! Thank you very much for the view, the second like, and being the first comment, and I hope you enjoyed the video. Here's your trophy! :) 🏆
@@CalibratedCore Thank you, and thank you for being such a great TH-camr!
Shoot... Truth be told, I cannot do any of this without you all, so thank you for being a fantastic fan! Heading out now. See you on the battlefield!
Is this how kids learn history in 2k18??
Shoot... If a game like this can teach history in an unbiased and interesting way, why not?! If this drums up more interest in learning about the Civil War, which it seems to be doing, then I undoubtedly support gaming as an avenue for learning! :) Thanks for commenting, 1M!
Reenactments are how history should be taught.
North vs south 2019 ?
North vs South 2019 - present. Check it out and come join us on the battlefield, Andy!
looks hell alot of fun to play have a good feeling with this one
Thanks for the support, Bud! Yes, this game is certainly a blast and I know you will like it when you get to play. See you on the battlefield, brother!
Yeeeep brought it the other day
The colors is the North Carolina flag
Yes, very true NC! This battle in particular only allows us to select two regiments, and I believe North Carolina was one of the options. Thanks for commenting!
Calibrated.Core nice getting it for Christmas can’t wait
Outstanding! Looking forward to serving with you, NC! :) See you soon!
@@CalibratedCore What regiment's colors are those?
NORTH CAROLINA STRONG, YEEYEE
Is it only on pc?
Only on PC, brother! :) Thanks for commenting!
Could I play this game with 4Gb DDr3 Memory?
Howdy, Battleship!
You will definitely need more memory to run this game, brother! Thanks for the question!
@@CalibratedCore Dang, is there any way to increase memory without getting a new pc?
Sure is, brother! You just need more RAM or a new graphics card! Do you have 4GB DDR3 Graphics card or 4GB DDR3 RAM?
@@CalibratedCore not sure I think its just the base set for the computer it just says 4GB DDR3 Memory
you should grab the flag since you dont shoot and only give orders why make someone else have to do it if they want to shoot I mean it fits your play just hold the flag and talk as the second in command
@@MikeDubya Centerfire and metallic cartridge firing rifles were available since the 1850s.
I’ve been playing since September and it’s been soo fun but they realy need to fix the voice bug where u can’t talk
Howdy, Drew!
Yes, I completely agree with you. Having virtually NO communication is absolutely murderous in this game, as there is literally no way to organize a team into an effective fighting force. Thanks for commenting, Drew!
When you charge....YELL like FURIES!
One of my favorite scenes in "Gods and Generals."

I don't know what to buy . This or hold nations ar war
Tough call, but if you want a more realistic military simulator, I would suggest buying War of Rights, stop! :) Thanks for commenting!
Texans always move them!
@@Bob-mz7qr You're exactly right.
I think it was actually during the battle of the Wilderness that was said.
TEXANS ALWAYS MOVE THEM! :) Thanks for commenting, Johnny and Wesley!
Johnny Reb don’t forget a quarter of the men he was talking about were from Arkansas!
I don't even have this game . I like watching . Love to see 500 vs 500 close combat looks clunky thaymit fix latter . Great game
Otherwise, you may have to yell a little bit to get other people in line! ;) Hope to see you on the battlefield someday soon!
will this game come out for ps4 that would be cool
Howdy, Dodo!
Unfortunately, there are no plans for War of Rights to be released onto console. However, I do believe that it would be awesome for this game to come out for PS4 given how unique this game is, eh? Thanks for commenting!
darn that would be awesome if it did
Why would you want to play any first person shooter on the PS4? Those games are not meant to be played with a controller.
Is this on the Xbox one
Sorry, brother, just PC! :(
It's games like these that I wish could be on console
Agreed, Foxo! I think console could really benefit with having games like this introduced to the console community because it really showcases an era that has never been really developed before and opens the door to a wider audience of people. Thanks for commenting!
only pc?
Sadly, only PC, brother. :(
I love you, Core.
Love you, Daddy LaBelle.❤️
Keep up the great work, sir!
