See I’ve had 4 from a Cooper, 2xS and JCW, one was an original R56 S and I’d say the F56 interior was now dated. It’s good and not anything wrong with it, just needed refreshing and this is exactly what it needed
I agree with you, I don't know why, maybe because of the color, but this model looks like a washing machine. In addition, the aggressive rear of the previous models has disappeared, now the model looks like a Hyundai i10. I have a Cooper F56 and my dream was to buy a 2.0 but now... I don't know.
Would much rather get an F56S for half the price, and it’s still plenty reliable and looks much better inside and out - can’t like the taillights either no matter how much I try. Still uses the same B48 engine anyways…

Missing the mechanical connection of subtle noises, manual gears, and the feeling of driving! 😢 I prefer my old Mercedes C220 diesel. I like the growl of the engine and the whistle of the turbo with the window open. Feels more real.
I like the display. Rest of the interior is ok, but HUD should be in the front window. Exterior wise F56 and R56 are miles ahead especially the rear no god pls no!
The noise of the engine is ridiculous, exactly like the sound of the gear shifts which sound like those of a 90s bus with automatic transmission. This car has the old engine from BMW with less power! The new one since 2020 ist the 258 PS from the BMW 330 i. We have a 2021 Mini JCW with the 231 PS engine and it is such slowly as an elephant!!! What a shame for such a expensive car!1
To me the auto box just kills it. Does it have paddles for manual shifting? Having a S look just like a Cooper I really don’t get, you want it to look a bit special and no that’s not adding a sports pack that cost £8k. So it’s a F56 2.0L engine with a new map? The Engine noise is fake through the speakers so if you think anyone car hear outside your mistaken. One single exhaust for a S that had two as its signature is a shame to loose. In all after owning five MINI’s two currently on the drive in a Hatch and Clubman this really will be a hard sell. Would I enjoy driving it - probably but do a crave it not that this point. 208bhp out that 2.0L unit seems a bit unexciting. I can hear the glass on the frameless window already scratching the glass at the end. 😢 Our guy here certainly likes pulling out in front of people and what is up with the rear view mirror and looks broken. I certainly wouldn’t be driving without it.
My F54 is already very fast at 301hp. Not seeing any reason YET as these are too slow! I am planning to do some upgrades after the warranty is up trying to get to 400hp and improve the handling. Mini needs to be careful as these are too cute and could chase away male buyers who mostly push the brand in the right direction. Don't want this to turn into a VW Bug that was just for the ladies. We need both to keep Mini strong...
triangular rear lights, hidden exhaust in the S sports version, budget interior that makes operating the functions dangerous for all road users, no real leather which has been replaced with carpet in the premium car, the sound of the engine from the speakers (yes, what you hear in the video is from speaker)
On the interior change the steering wheel design and put the screen / dials back in front of the driver and it might look like a finished product. Something about that bare fabric behind the wheel looks weird. Don't even get me started about the exterior design! I think the F56 2018 face lift was peak Mini personally, the update in 2022 was alright too but this is the madness of BMW design again.
@@eveythingthatsadamnot something new that even non-electric vehicles can have sound out of speakers… if we talk about Mini only just look back to the Cooper SD, the Diesel version had fake exhaust sound system inside the car. And a lot of brand did the same with even outside speakers under the car, I think even Audi did that on some sporty TDI versions. I regret some points on this new Mini, should looks a bit different from a basic/ entry level version. Have had a 2008 Cooper cabrio sidewalk edition and a 2019 Cooper S F56. Can understand that the brand needs to recreate some esthetics and features mainly on the inside. But a Cooper S with not even ONE exhaust pipe, no hood intake, no lil’ spoiler. Just buy an entry level and save your money for that much differences. But I’m going out of the subject 😅 have a nice day guys

Interior is far superior on the new ones.
This model lost the true Mini Cooper character. Boring interior, no dual center exhaust, no hood scoop = nothing. SAD

This model isn't even Chinese!!!! The F66 is built in Oxford, UK.
Also, "destroying" is so dramatic... The highest difference is the rear lights and the interior. The rest is very very similar.
