The color is spot on from the animation. I think I was always more partial to the navy blue of the figure, but this is exactly what I was looking for in a TC. Thanks for showing the flight stands together, never thought about doing that even though I figured that is what those teeth were for.

Awesome review really like Thundercracker more than Starscream.
Skywarp will be the best
Choosing between the Takara and DS seekers has been really difficult, but the paint on this Thundercracker is what convinced me to go all in on Takara.
We need an MP-52+ G1 Starscream where the figure is a homage to the original G1 toy version of Starscream.
Beautiful figure. Just ordered MP-52+ Thundercracker today. He’s on sale for $179 on TFSource. Still not exactly cheap but a lot lower than his regular price of $256.
He’s gonna be my 2nd Masterpiece. My 1st is BadCube’s Grump(Gears) but MP-52+ will be my very first official Takara/Tomy MP. Can’t wait!

I love the freckle in the original G1 thundercracker toy, but this blue is really nice too. I definitely like the transformation, it’s not overly complex like the deformation space versions.

Great review. As a relatively new Transformers toys collector, I've been wondering if I should scoop up all the MP+ vs MPs across the board.
I'm fairly new as well made 1yr last week, all the plus version's are definitely worth it, just be careful where u shop cause Certain sites will try to over charge for a 4-6yr old mold, 👍

It’s a rabbit hole my friend lol. I started in 2013 with MP-13 Soundwave and I’m still in the game.
My advice is pace yourself and have a set goal in mine. Luckily for me I’m only waiting for an Official Takara Jazz and Trailbreaker to complete my personal collection.
The MP-52 mold is one or the rare MPs that I enjoy transforming back and forth just for the heck of it.
The Deformation Space seekers are certainly beautiful figures too. But the transformation is so frustrating!

I get envious every time I see another review with no paint issues. Don't get me wrong, mine are minimal percentage wise, but the three major issues I have are noticeable, particularly the one on the left shoulder where there's rubbing resulting in a darker blue patch. I also have some scratches on the fold down tab that forms the left ab, and some paint transfer/chipping under the right shoulder. Could be worse, but it's still disappointing as this is the figure I really looking forward to out of the three. The build quality is solid though. Thankfully my Starscream has no real paint issues (or QC issues of any significant nature), so hopefully Skywarp follows suite.
Don't feel too bad. Mine has several small or tiny marks but his joints are pretty good, better than MP-52, and he stands solidly. TMReviews's copy is missing the bottom part of the Decepticon insignia on the top, right wing (see 19:10).

Always loved TC’s colours…but it’s too expensive just for another seeker mold.
Get the DS version instead. Half the price.

Great review as always. When you get to skywarp, I highly recommend placing a toy 🚽 underneath him when he’s on the flight stand in robot mode. 😁 4:02 in this review is a good time stamp.

Amazing color. I saw on a certain website their deformation is close to this color as well. I think for your money it’s not worth it for tak. I still sour after hound though…the flight stand would be great if included in both options. It looks great but I just don’t see myself spending that much dough for. I guess it’s like picking Honda over Acura or Toyota over Lexus. I don’t care about rotating vents 😂😂. Great review. Thank you!
Wish someone would print an extension for these flight stands. They are too low.
Pretty sure takara Didn’t remold or will ever remold anything until they try coneheads. I’m sure TC was in production as we got our starscreams.

I see he has the wrong stats, Skywarp has a 4 in intelligence. Funny how the seekers are still mixed up 40 yrs later smh. And his blue is spot on? And you can cut out and ad a white sheet of paper on the inside against his cockpit to give it the cartoon/boxart look.
Someone will KO the coronation set because of it ^_^

The MP-11 stands are more functional than these giant eyesore stands... They need ratchets at the very least.
Looks like you was struggling there, and i thought it was supposed to be easier then DS, i see they didn't improve the stand, a little too short for botmode bummer.

Excellent Review - I for one am NOT impressed with the MPP52 Seekers - (7:40 comparison speaks volumes) their Proportions seem off everywhere, at every angle, from their overly BIG HEAD, to Barrel like chest, canopy looks bulbous, to thin thighs/overly big calves, & at $240 - $280+ hearing about, seeing and witnessing Loose Joints is & tolerance issues is 100% UNACCEPTABLE. Cartoon accurate? maybe, but not 100%.
I have an MP11 Collection, & although aesthetically outdated, they have held up well. I really liked the Maketoys but just received my Deformation Crimson Skies & seen enough reviews to emphatically state that he's head & shoulders above the MP52 group for roughly half the cost. He is also, imo, just as much or more Cartoon accurate than the 52s. The Height is debatable, and again, imo, I prefer my Seeker to be at the same level as Soundwave, not some midget like the 52s are.
If I do decide to get the MP52 group, it will be a KO version - their Alt mode is nice, no taking away from that aspect.

As nice as the Paint and Color is for TC, it's still the MP52 Mold and that's an Auto Fail for me. Too Balloonish...and just got Crimson in, That thing is a Master Piece. After 20 mins of just messing with it, I was looking for Flaws and am still looking but haven't found any yet.

For me the color is not what I want in my thundercracker, too light
Deformation still better.
I still think the DS seeker is just a little better than this one.
