I always knew that it's crucial to have a website, to survive in modern world. I launched my first one in 2014yr only. Now I have a more websites than that and believe me, I am an old chap, but I have to tell you that, it's changed my and my family life for better in these difficult times. Chuck you're the best!
Chuck I've been working in IT for just under 11 years as a Systems Administrator. I've been watching your videos for a VERY long time. If you were to ask any of my friends or co-workers where I get my ideas for my personal projects they'd say you were 10000% the foundation. I've finally taken the plunge into creating a website essentially offloading my decade of technical notes and thought process during my work on complex tickets, and personal projects. I've started scripting a YT video to just get this information out. Hopefully I can be as inspiring and helpful to others as you've been for me!
You're right Chuck, I am looking into rebuilding a website, and just thinking up what I want to do with it. I am a Mobile Network engineer, in my later years now, but hell, maybe I can teach how to make things look professional on network shelves for clients. It seems that people just don't care how things look anymore. I will definitely post a link when I get it started. Thanks for that extra push. Whenever i see these "you gotta learn vids" you make it always gives me anxiety and makes me think I'm falling behind or I should learn something so i always avoid watching and put it off for a while. But once I do it gives me a lot of good energy in learning something new haha.

Eventually, you will be middle aged and struggling to keep from being phased out of the IT field because of your age. IT is heavily biased to hire the young.
Made one last year with HTML/CSS and have it hosted on AWS and I have to say it seems employers actually look at it and seem to enjoy it. It shows employers some obvious skill with HTML/CSS and the fact you go the extra mile above the average resume/cover letting but when you tell them you visit your website as well it seems they enjoy it.
I don't typically comment on YT videos, but when I do is to say what an amazing idea reserving those domain names for your daughters. I have two of my own, and I just did the same :) Thanks again and keep up the great content!

This is exactly why I started LabCrasher! Most of my supplemental IT knowledge has come from blogs and TH-cam, so I wanted to give back and share things I've learned over the years. The excitement I felt when I found someone randomly share my blog post on reddit as an answer to a question was unreal!! It came up during my last interview, as well as my homelab, and it was a major talking point
It'd be interesting to see you do a video about building your own website, but not through using a platform like Wordpress, and instead building your own website from scratch. Personally I'd feel that that's a better way to showcase your skills by using HTML, CSS, JS etc, if that's your skillset (I'm working on that just now myself), and can work well as a portfolio.
It's a good idea, but i've tried doing that and guess what? Minimal experience in CSS and HTML and I've already got a static webpage (I haven't hosted it at all yet though, I'm just experimenting with CSS and HTML coding for websites and webpages and such) where I can easily add a post (although I do have to manually go into the HTML code and add in the stuff, but I have made it easier to do so :D). So definitely try making one manually. It's fun

Hey Network Chuck you have inspired me to learn more about technology, I have been interested in technology since 8 fixing phones and hacking stuff like my school network since 12 and by 13 having full access to anything and everything on my school network, rickrolling people with whiteboards with no way to turn the volume down and im now 14 and striving to learn as much as I can. Hey, I think I know the models for the tablets that he uses, not 100% sure though. There is a small one sitting on his desk, without a screen: Wacom Intuos M or S (depends of your needs). And there is a big Wacom Cintiq Pro 32 or 24 sitting next to him that has a screen and you can draw on it directly with the stylus. Hope it helped ^^ Have a nice day!

I work Department of Education (DoE - Australia) and most of the IT techs I talk to use Wordpress because it cheap, and when IT techies work in DoE, they want to keep the their executive team happy and want to make things cheap in their eyes. yes its worth it people, try it

This is exactly why I started LabCrasher! Most of my supplemental IT knowledge has come from blogs and TH-cam, so I wanted to give back and share things I've learned over the years. The excitement I felt when I found someone randomly share my blog post on reddit as an answer to a question was unreal!! It came up during my last interview, as well as my homelab, and it was a major talking point
It'd be interesting to see you do a video about building your own website, but not through using a platform like Wordpress, and instead building your own website from scratch. Personally I'd feel that that's a better way to showcase your skills by using HTML, CSS, JS etc, if that's your skillset (I'm working on that just now myself), and can work well as a portfolio.
Even better would be a static site generator like Hugo or Jekyll ;)

It's a good idea, but i've tried doing that and guess what? Minimal experience in CSS and HTML and I've already got a static webpage (I haven't hosted it at all yet though, I'm just experimenting with CSS and HTML coding for websites and webpages and such) where I can easily add a post (although I do have to manually go into the HTML code and add in the stuff, but I have made it easier to do so :D). So definitely try making one manually. It's fun
I believe he probably wouldn’t due his fan base not being many web devs from what I’ve seen? Though this is a great idea for web devs to create a website using a certain specific framework.

I have made a lot of TH-cam video subscriptions because I never hesitated to collect what I like but having too many subscriptions has it own downside which you might not catch up with the newer contents fast enough. That is how I watched this video after 11 months since you published it. So once again, you are such an awesome guy who is very rare to see these days, unfortunately. Yes! Every One needs a web site just like a portfolio to advertise his/her work, progresses & skills. But making a web sites becomes complicated when you need interactivity, data from a database or an API, Server Side Rendering, Front End framework, Performance consideration & more...

hey brother thanks for all the videos you put out. I have been starting my journey as a data scientist/aiml engineer from where I was before. It has been tough and a lot more work than I thought it would be, but I feel like its the future and as you say I had to future proof myself. Love the videos and hope to see more from you. Maybe stuff about AIML could be pretty cool, I dont think I saw any on those. Thanks and keep the beard growing brother.

Hey Network Chuck you have inspired me to learn more about technology, I have been interested in technology since 8 fixing phones and hacking stuff like my school network since 12 and by 13 having full access to anything and everything on my school network, rickrolling people with whiteboards with no way to turn the volume down and im now 14 and striving to learn as much as I can. I’m currently building my own computer, Run a Plex server, Spotify connect speaker and file server from a raspberry pi. Technology is my dream and you have inspired me. Thank You Network Chuck

Hey, I think I know the models for the tablets that he uses, not 100% sure though. There is a small one sitting on his desk, without a screen: Wacom Intuos M or S (depends of your needs). And there is a big Wacom Cintiq Pro 32 or 24 sitting next to him that has a screen and you can draw on it directly with the stylus. Hope it helped ^^ Have a nice day!

@@abc5883 indeed. Xmlrpc.php is active from start. User enumeration by message in both login and forgotten password. The page variable on by default and more. So its easy to use, but not safe ;P

I work Department of Education (DoE - Australia) and most of the IT techs I talk to use Wordpress because it cheap, and when IT techies work in DoE, they want to keep the their executive team happy and want to make things cheap in their eyes.
