There's a lot of really really smart people in India, especially in Tech. The issue is very few of them present it well. Probably my favorite Photoshop resource is called PixImperfect. That dude is from India and he's great. Wish more IT related content coming out of there had a focus on professional presentation because it makes a huge difference.

I started the Cloud Engineer Learning Path..... RIGHT NOW! Also, the certification exams aren't as pricey as others in the industry- like comptia and such. The associate exam prices are: AWS $150. Azure $165 and GCP $125.
Cool video! Howerver, he mentions that he knows of no other Cloud Provider that has this type of engaging learning experience. Actually - Azure does the exact same thing. Their learning paths gives u XP, you can level up, you get badges for each section complete just the way Google does it. Microsoft also gives you the 30 day free subscription that lets you jump into azure and do pretty much whatever you want, and yet their learning paths still provide you with sandboxes, exercises, practice questions on top of that. The learning paths are also tailored for each exam.

I get motivated from these videos that you do Chuck. Working as a customer support in a big crypto company was fine but it's something in which you cannot get the "big bread" and you cannot develope much. Currently I don't work there and my full time goes to learning devops, AWS and cloud-based services. I really hope that soon I will be starting an internhip in this IT area.
As someone who is both a AWS Certified and GCP certified ... GCP's tests are so nice compared to AWS's. For instance, their Architect Pro cert has 4 case study "clients" which form the basis of their more advanced questions. Where AWS is an exercise in speed reading.

@@jasonsmart3141 "So would you say the GCP cert is easier to get that AWS cert? " Kind of... If you can read and grok massive questions in a short amount of time, you'll do fine at the AWS tests. The AWS tests were more about, remembering product details and what they are solutions for. GCP, on the other hand, is more geared towards technical knowledge. Some product knowledge helps. But if you are a decent engineer, you know how to code, and can understand customer problems, you'll be great at the GCP tests.
I just cannot thank you enough. Im on a road learning to get the AWS Cloud Practitioner Certificate as a first step. and very much needed a practical experience and environment where i can try things, and honestly having this option with google cloud can help a lot not just in google, but overall cloud experience, even if it is small, it's still something. thanks for always motivating me to do something useful instead of wasting my time gaming.

He uses what are called "Jump Cuts". It's basically recording a video, then cutting it down into short bursts of speech by removing "dead air" as much as possible, that in the end, appear as unbroken speaking. No one actually talks like that in real life, unless they're a shady businessman out to try and con people out of, or into, something they can benefit from. Are you changing careers? I'm coming from healthcare. I've worked in the operating room for 25+ yrs and it's time for me push away from that environment and do tech for the remainder of my life. I'm 51 :-( Kinda scared to be starting all over again. So for weeks I'm researching the different tech areas and Cloud really has my attention. But with very very little computer knowledge from home. I'm worried which place to start off.

Hello, this video got me really interested in going for this while I wait to start college. Only thing is I have zero exp in cloud at all and would like to go for architect pathway. Would it be better for me to learn on the engineer pathway then go onto to the architect pathway or just start on architect pathway since they have similar skill badges? I started the Cloud Engineer Learning Path..... RIGHT NOW! Also, the certification exams aren't as pricey as others in the industry- like comptia and such. The associate exam prices are: AWS $150. Azure $165 and GCP $125.

Actually - Azure does the exact same thing. Their learning paths gives u XP, you can level up, you get badges for each section complete just the way Google does it.
Microsoft also gives you the 30 day free subscription that lets you jump into azure and do pretty much whatever you want, and yet their learning paths still provide you with sandboxes, exercises, practice questions on top of that.
The learning paths are also tailored for each exam.

GCP's tests are so nice compared to AWS's.
For instance, their Architect Pro cert has 4 case study "clients" which form the basis of their more advanced questions. Where AWS is an exercise in speed reading.

If you can read and grok massive questions in a short amount of time, you'll do fine at the AWS tests. The AWS tests were more about, remembering product details and what they are solutions for.
GCP, on the other hand, is more geared towards technical knowledge. Some product knowledge helps. But if you are a decent engineer, you know how to code, and can understand customer problems, you'll be great at the GCP tests.

He uses what are called "Jump Cuts". It's basically recording a video, then cutting it down into short bursts of speech by removing "dead air" as much as possible, that in the end, appear as unbroken speaking.
No one actually talks like that in real life, unless they're a shady businessman out to try and con people out of, or into, something they can benefit from. Which is pretty much what the guy in the video is doing anyway LOL

Are you changing careers? I'm coming from healthcare. I've worked in the operating room for 25+ yrs and it's time for me push away from that environment and do tech for the remainder of my life. I'm 51 :-( Kinda scared to be starting all over again. So for weeks I'm researching the different tech areas and Cloud really has my attention. But with very very little computer knowledge from home. I'm worried which place to start off.

So, I signed up for the challenge and got my promo code, entered it, but for the "Create a Virtual Machine" lab, it did not allow me to choose my subscription to fill in the payment required for that lab, though I had the promo code entered in my account, which is odd.
Anyways there is another option that does require a payment option to be set for $300 in free credit for 90 days, so I'll probably be trying this instead.

Hello, this video got me really interested in going for this while I wait to start college. Only thing is I have zero exp in cloud at all and would like to go for architect pathway.
Would it be better for me to learn on the engineer pathway then go onto to the architect pathway or just start on architect pathway since they have similar skill badges?

The less experience you have in "cloud" the better off you'll be. Unless you want to be a human drone that is spied on in every aspect of your life, working for a mega corporation that is at the same time, spying on the rest of the world in every aspect of their lives?
