Thumbs up number 10, watching ramp truck looks sweet as, nice video still watching Tim, hope your doing well and the family mate Cheers KC Tasmania Australia🇦🇺🇦🇺🤝🇺🇸🇺🇸😎👍
3 kits I got from model roundup all had warped ramp floors and warped ramps. They have replied from moebius customer service overnight. There is no date set for replacement parts to be sent out
Yup, and Tim flipped said parts pretty fast in review there - wish he'd given a better looksie but maybe word wasn't out yet? Hope you get fixes there.
Looks like a great kit Tim! Nice and crisp details, lots of parts, you're in for a treat. Thanks for sharing, take care and keep up the good work my friend.
When you got to the paint colors and mentioned the Wimbledon White, all I saw was a white truck with blue Shelby stripes and a blue on white GT350 on the ramp. Gotta have one now!
I think Moebius is the best model car maker today. They seem to take their time putting their kits together and give you that extra detail to bring out the complete model. Great video, I will look for this kit to buy.
Currently I'm building this kit and using the Chevy cab from the MPC Racers Wedge. The scale of the Chevy is a touch on the small size but it won't be noticed once it's completed
I was all in when I seen the front grill on the kit does seam to be vary well detailed for sure the othe petail seams to be the parking brake I think being the kit is so well detailed thanks for the unboxing enjoyed 😁👍👍👍👍
Moebius is a top notch company ! Their directions are like a small magazine. I’ve built a pick up and the service truck. I just bought a 69 F100 that’s next on the bench. I’m looking forward to seeing what you do with this kit.
Thats a very nice kit! Like you said I can see that ramp bed going on other types of trucks. Also I can see someone mounting a Econoline cutaway van on the chassis to make an RV camper. I cant wait for mine to get to me. Unfortunately I think I got to wait for the new F250 to come in before they ship em. Typical Moebius model you cant fit them back in the box so you have to build it. LOL
Killer review! We could see eveerythaaaang! haha....The 1 ton wheels are great looking, very specific too. The 5 hole was a late sixties thing(mostly), later came the 4 hole which went decades. I'm with you on the "why not a different truck" deal... yea would've been nice but they've got the first realistic ramp body out there - I'm good with it. The extra parts make this cab chassis (without the ramp) suitable for dozens of commercial projects. Great kit, Thanks for sharing.
That is a sweet looking kit! I've been eye balling this kit since it was in it's prototype stage. Thanks for sharing it with us. Definitely going to pick one up! I believe that Moebius has a 4X4 tow truck that's coming out as well. Really looking forward to that one. Keep it coming!
I'm so wanting 1 of these now, told my wife its your fault Tim 🤫😂😂😂 she agreed😂 Very hard to get these here, only internet & overseas sellers, shipping kills it.
That is one sweet kit Tim. Any idea on the retail. Lol. There will definitely be at least one in my possession at some point. Keep up the great work man!!!
I don't think it would have a c4 in it, c4 are light duty trans, that's a heavy duty truck it's probably a cruise-o-matic, c4 have a servo cover on both sides of the trans, but C6 would be choice for it. But it kinda looks like a c4
Yebut the tandem rear wheels is hokey deal that needs fixin’ to a doolie like this one. Got a stack of wedge and a fan of it too - also depends on specific rig ur makin', many to choose...
Great looking kit! Love all the extra parts. Nice clean looking casting. Now that they’ve done the Chevy and Ford ramp trucks, maybe dodge is next. Would love to see some dodge trucks. There’s still tons of Chevy trucks out there. Be great to park some of my Grand National cars one one.👍👍
Are dullie wheels a Ford specific or can they be chevy or gmc authentic. Am asking because I want to use the amt 70s pick up or the revell 65 66 chevy pick up. If anyone has any knowledge please let me know
I like the fact that the chassis is one piece and not rails and cross pieces to put together. I think an easier way to make different trucks is to keep the chassis and the ramp section and just change the engine and the corresponding cab to that. (just throw a Chrysler engine and tranny and a Dodge cab and interior on top of the built up chassis Or Chevy GMC etc.)
First I would say an F350 IF it had an automatic would be a C6 .... C4’s are for smaller engines in midsize and smaller cars , not usually trucks . And the standard would probably be a 4 speed ( 3 and bull low ) . A 3 speed ( like on the tree 3 speed ) maybe found in a F100/150 with a smaller V8 or 6 cylinder .
Well, technically you're correct. This truck's 390 V8 automatic transmission should be a C6. From what I can tell in that picture, that's a C4 as he called it. C6s have no parting line between the bellhousing and the transmission body. There's also a difference in the oil pan and you can kind of see that. The C6 has a distinctive notch and the C4 is almost square with a tiny bump out in the corner for the dipstick. I'm not sure, but I believe this line of trucks from Moebius offered an inline six and this transmission would work fine with it. I think there's a Revell Torino or Cobra with a C6 Automatic that's appropriate for this application if you want to be authentic.
A C4 would last about a week in a truck like that. That's a C6. Hmm, I just remembered; Ford got in trouble in the 70's for putting light duty transmissions in their "HD" trucks...

I built the moebius 67 ford service truck. I painted it dark red over white cab. Excellent kit.
Aaaaa very cool Peter.
I preordered one the other day,but on alot of the forums i see people saying they are finding warped hoods and warped ramps.
I've got 3 now and the ramp are a bit warped with perfect hoods. But ramp part still builds up great!
Looks like deck may submit to counter tweaks, the hood issue will take some skill to fix though.
I BUILT THE MOEBIUS 1970 4X4 FORD TRUCK AND PUT TIRES FROM AMT 1972 BLAZER ON THE RIMS AND THEY WORK GREAT MORE REALISTIC FOR A 4X4 TRY IT .
Ok, very cool!!!!!
Nice review on this kit, I have the '72 Chevy ramptruck , it's ok , kutgw one day I'll pick this kit up

Yeah, it's the wrong transmission for a 390. It looks just like a C4. C6s have are one piece between the bellhousing and main body.
