Tim.. The Double Bunk COE Freightliner and Tanker at 7:45 in the video was the exact truck and tanker my Dad used to drive when I was kid. It was the exact same paint scheme but it was Dark Blue, White and Black. He worked for an Oil waste facility which is now known as Safetyclean. Back in the 70's it was called CAN AM. Besides all the chicken lights it is so my dad's truck. He named her "Beula"..... amazing to see that combo together. I was thinking to build my dad's truck and now I will seeing it together!! Cheers!! Earl
WOW, these trucks are even more awesome to see in a video. They are mind blowing with details. Those 2 KW 925's are just polished glass!! I'm glad to see other models that are not "perfect" paint jobs, a little texture means we are all human!!.. LOL. Absolute incredible kit-bashing and details. Again, the Pete "Smokey And Bandit" model give you goosebumps!! The last time I went to any model show was 27 years ago in Toronto Ontario. I had 2 entries. I did a scratch-built Ford Bronco Stadium Truck or Tuff Truck. Painted it as a Canadian flag. the other was the old Pete 359 as a single axle day cab with dual straight pipes. I painted it as Red/White and Blue. I took those dual headlights, cut them in 1/2 and made a single round light. Sanded it and then dipped it in silver paint. it dried seamless. I got comments like crazy and got invited to a model club in Toronto but it was a little too far to go to. It's wild too, I used to have all these trucks just waiting to build, Brings back memories!! Thanks for the cool vids Tim! Cheers! Earl
So very true Earl..... Have to get you back to some more shows, I think you will really enjoy them. Several guys go to this show (NNL East in Wayne, NJ.) that are from Canada.
Hi Tim. You have been posting loads of awesome videos lately. Really appreciate you sharing your trips to the shows and swap meets. Take care my friend and speak soon
WOW Tim really loving them big rigs some really talented builders right there love the older firetrucks awesome the London bus was beautiful thanks for sharing Tim 👍👍
For me personally, heavy commercial is my favorite class at a show. I’m a truckers kid , so I grew up around trucks. It’s in my blood 😊. There is so much talent at this show! See you at ACME this weekend Tim, safe travels.
I agree Chris, I love those big trucks too! 🙂 I take off the entire week for the Mid America Truck Show (MATS) in Louisville as that is always a fun show. See you at ACME and safe travels to you too. 🤜🤛
NICE!!!!!! model"s ,I had assembled a large Peterbuilt like the 2 shown. I also assembled a Kenworth and a trailer that could hold either one of the trucks.
Got to see alot of my build ideas completed on the tables! Pup tanker, oddball flatbed loads, and praise to the PIE KW builder! Sure good to have a clean - polished truck show build in the collection, but the majority are on the highways haulin' with road grime and grease. Good work again too Tim, table arrangement wasn't favorable for video!
Focusing on the Big Rigs Tim, I like it.... my mind always seems to wonder through all the videos. I like this video as much as showing the venders tables only. Thanks for taking the time on all these videos.... I always run around the AMCE show like a pot smoking monkey.
Nice builds!!! The blue and white one twards the beginning of the video. You show it next to a yellow one twards the end of the video. Can you tell me what kit that is? Is that multi wheel trailer at the end scratch built or a kit??? Thanks for sharing
Hey Mike, I built both the blue and white and yellow and white trucks. The blue and white is a Round2 reissue of the Kenworth W925. The yellow and white is an original issue AMT Kenworth W925 with the torsion bar rear suspension. If there is anything you'd like to know about either, please ask.
Do any of you enthusiasts know where I can buy these model kits?there's very little in the way of semi truck and trailer kits in utah.if anyone can help, please comment
Actually I like weathering better then doing a clean build. It's much more fun and enjoyable. Also I think it adds more realistic detail that is actually out there in real life.

Amazing craftsmanship! What is the basis for these models, kits, scratch-built or modified?
They start as a model kit and some are changed or modified in some way or another. Sometimes someone will scratch build a trailer.
Focusing on the Big Rigs Tim, I like it.... my mind always seems to wonder through all the videos. I like this video as much as showing the venders tables only. Thanks for taking the time on all these videos.... I always run around the AMCE show like a pot smoking monkey.

Love that Ford CL 9000 model, was that scratch built or a kit? I’ve never seen a kit of one before.
I'm thinking it was either a resin or scratch built John.
Nice models, but the ones that are multi axle are wrong interms of the spacing on the jeep..
👍👍
Do any of you enthusiasts know where I can buy these model kits?there's very little in the way of semi truck and trailer kits in utah.if anyone can help, please comment
Any well stocked hobby shop, Hobby Lobby has some or on line with Model Round Up.
Unfortunately, they missed the opportunity to incorporate weathering into these...
I agree, but "most" truck and/or car modelers do not weather. I love weathering my cars and trucks. But most don't.
Actually I like weathering better then doing a clean build. It's much more fun and enjoyable. Also I think it adds more realistic detail that is actually out there in real life.
