    This is a fabulous kit. It is very, very detailed and allows the builder to really take it over the top if one wishes. Moebius produces great, great model kits (IMO) I have been building for over 50 years. Bravo Moebius.

    It would be really cool is if they had true Max Wedge exhaust manifolds. What they have are '67 -'71 big block Magnum exhaust manifolds. The 426 street wedge used plain log exhaust manifolds.

      The Max Wedge has the upswept header style the lower commando should have a basic log manifold.

    Nice kit , I'd love to own a real '65 Belvedere 1, Iv'e got a '65 Valiant though. I haven't done a model car since about 1980 , a Revell '55 Chevy sports coupe as I recall, and a Dukes of hazzard Charger. I find it interesting that chrome plated plastic is common for modeling, but Iv'e come up with nothing when trying to find out how to rechrome plastic interior trim and dash parts on cars .

      There's several options around. Molotow Chrome markers (or knock offs) are a popular choice which come in a variety of sizes. Green Stuff World has a nice brushable chrome. Bare Metal Foil is another option. If you're looking at doing full parts theres a couple of rattle can options for good chrome Revell and SpazStix. Airbrush there's several but the most popular are Alclad, Green Stuff World, DSPIAE, AK Super Chrome.

      Thanks I believe Moebius started these Belvederes and Satellites around 2016 and I believe this was first release of them but must've been re-issued in 2020. I've seen them do it with others as well, same box art but re-released a couple years later. There's stock and racing versions of each the Belvedere and Satellites using many of the same parts trees. Same thing they've been doing with all the Ford PU.

    While I have yet to purchase a Moebius kit, it seems they are pushing other manufacturers to up their game or get left behind by Moebius. Full color instruction manual, crisply molded plastic, and great chrome. Very nicely done unboxing.

      Thanks Larry! I agree they are doing nice things for the domestic market cars. I haven't built one yet either but this one may be the first and soon.

      They really are. I have built 5 pickups by them. 3 have had a twist to the frame. 1 straightened it's self out. But I would still buy another one. They go together nicely and have a lot of detail.

    Just started this kit today, did the Satellite version, but the Belvedere kit didn’t come with the decals .

      I would reach out to Moebius. I've been treated well with their customer support.

    This going a TH-cam build or a finish video?

    • @sodakmodelcars
      @sodakmodelcars  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This one may be getting built soon (maybe next even) if I can get some parts and decals I want for it. But for now its just a part of my weekly box openings.
