The Alexander Superball takes experimental delay to the next level with a super flexible LFO that can move any parameter, a sweet resonant low-pass filter and clock time sequencing for all kinds of auto pitch shift and robotic bleeps.
Unlike most pedals in the NEO series, the select button in the middle doesn’t change effect modes but allows more parameters for you to tweak such as low and high delay time settings (which correspond to the LFO), the LFO speed, depth and 5 waveforms plus a sequencer which changes the clock time of the delay in various patterns and steps.
The left footswitch not only gets you tap tempo (with divisions) for delay and LFO but lets you morph between two different settings on the fly. Living up to the Superball name is the Bounce function, which triggers the LFO to bounce from 1-10 times, with each bounce losing the same amount of energy as a real Superball, they’ve filmed one and done the math!
Other features include 4 onboard presets, a multi-jack for either expression, remote switching with a NEO footswitch or MIDI control with devices such as the qConnect from Disaster Area.

Sounds super creative to me. I think the haters are all too narrow-sighted to see what might be done with this thing.
Definitely not a ‘whole song’ pedal, but seems like it would be great for adding sound effects, flourishes, and a little ‘spice’ to a song…

Christian Hackenhaar I agree! I don't see where this is very usable in a band setting, especially at a gig. This pedal is for a bedroom player to get weird with.

thetaokan all joking aside, the rainbow machine is surprisingly useful as a chorus, and this seems like it’d function fine for certain delays. But being able to have both going crazy at the same time could possibly be the epitome of fun.

Sweetwater has a pedalboard rundown in which someone is using a Miku as a totally usable effect. He’s doing a synthy ambient thing, but it still added a cool sound with what he had after it.
*Not as recent as I thought but here’s a Miku being used effectively.

No, I'd sooner compare the Onward to granular delays like the Red Panda Particle. The Superball is just a very powerful modulated delay. What may sound glitchy is just the delay time being modulated up and down vs the those granular delays which spit back fragments of samples at various pitches. Hope that helps!
