    If you wanted to play "Lo Fi" live, that opening warping sound (around 4:00) feels like it would really work for you. Sure, not generally something one would use, but it sure fits that genre.
    Edit: 6:10 has the full LoFi effect with the "lag" setting cranked -)
    Us synth guys call that effect at 10:00 a self oscillating filter when you crank up the resonance. At least I think that's what's doing it, together with an automated L/P filter cutoff modulation.

    • @HiGlowie
      @HiGlowie 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      We also usually refer to the “lag” as “glide”

    Imagine if Korn was founded today...
    And if you want to get to know more about experimental sounds or effects, they're definitely a band to check out (even if their music isn't your thing). The best thing is to dig into their albums (not just like their front page hits or videos) and also live. They have or at least used to have these huge elaborate pedalboards before time of Strymon and so on. They mostly just did it all "raw", getting their hands dirty on the pedal controls. - I'd recommend most anything up until 2005 (you might love 'See You On The Other Side') and they became more effect-driven from say the third album. - I just think they go a bit unappreciated in that sense. :)
