I used to own 78 Lincoln Continental Sedan, and hands down it was the smoothest, softest, most comfortable riding car that I have ever owned including all of the vintage 50’s-60’s and 70’s Caddies I owned in the past. The ride was so isolating, plus nothing vibrated or rattled unlike my 72 Sedan Deville I owned many years ago which rattled like crazy inside. Lincoln’s IMO in the 70’s were better built cars than Cadillacs. Sure they might not of had the most flashiest of interiors, but Ford built them to ride smoother and were quieter than Cads at that time. They were definitely more boss/mafia looking especially the 77-79 models with RR grill which was just stunning to look at in person.
Ran the crap out of them stop signs barely stopping but yeah I love that car I’ve always wanted one trying to convince an old fella he wants my 57 fire truck and I want his blue town car if only he takes me up on that offer right away.
I completely agree with everything you said. I have had 63 67 72 and 78 Cadillac coupe devilles and my 74 continental coupe is on a completely different level. Far superior in every way to the Cadillacs. I had 79 Lincoln town coupe with the 400 engine and it was a total slug. The 70-74 Lincoln continental coupes with the 460 is the absolute epitome of American luxury motor cars
Beautiful Connie
The original, Tuna boat! The interior reminds me of my Aunt's house in the 70's. You should show us the huge ashtray!
Beautiful! One of the great Lincolns of all-time!
Great memories. My grandparents had this exact coupe, same color interior, except their exterior was pale yellow,
I love it! Mine was white inside and out. Best car I ever owned. It's the only car I wish I still had.
This is a beautiful car. Love it.
