Absolutely stunning, I remember these when they were new. The first time I saw one in person was when I was walking home from school and this lady was backing out of a driveway in a new white/white/white MK4 going pretty fast and would've ran me down had I not stopped to let her pass in front of me, then she took off like a bat outta hell. I'm 66yo now and I'm sure the lady and the car are long gone, but for some reason I've always remembered that first encounter with a MK4. Seeing this beautiful car is a stark reminder of how far we've fallen.
My Mark III had the hood release under the bumper like that and I am surprised they still did that for this model. The 1963 Lincoln Continental had the hood release inside on the left side of the steering wheel.
Yeah... The Opera Window. Which happened to be an option in '72 and '73, but most people ordered them apparently. But if you've ever seen a Mk IV without them AND no vinyl top, you'd wonder why they were so popular... Without them, those cars truly look sinister!
Hermoso auto, es como la versión Lite del mark v Hermoso color lastima que ese color se ensucia mucho y hasta con una partícula de polvo ya se ve sucio cualquier auto negro
Sorry - but Mark 4 was a very bad design. A 'grim duc' compere to the others. Awful whit that high back rooftop. Destroy absolute all of the elegance the others have. Tragic.
The 72 mark IV is my dream car however the bar across the grill has to definitely got to go it ruins the look of what the 72 mark was intended to look with a tall beautiful grill . The bumpers design was intended to be with out that stupid looking bar....
I agree - I think the '72 is peak MK4 because it doesn't have the 5mph bumper, which totally ruined the front end in '73. I know the bar was intended to protect the grill area, but it really looked much better without it and the one I would seek out if I were to ever win the lottery. I also believe the '71 MK3 is peak MK3 because of the high back seats and real wood on the dash.

That's a beautiful Mark IV. 72 is the model to have for sure
Wow what a looker. Great shape. 72 is peak year for the MKIV
Absolutely gorgeous. I hope it went to the right home.
That 72 was the best design ever! And with waterfall grill!
WOWSERS!!! THIS MODEL BEATS THEM ALL BY A CENTURY!!! I would rather drive this car than any modern car today.
Thank you for this video.

My second most favorite automobile design of all time behind the 1968 Eldorado.
NOTHING beats a CLASSIC LINCOLN.
This Car Had to Spend most it's Life in Someone's Living room. It's So So Beautiful Dream Car ✨💖🤠👍👍💖✨
By 1974 that car was $10,000 brand new. A Lincoln Continental four-door sedan was just under $9,000 in 1972.
Today’s money it would be $100K yeah big money back then
Inflation after Nixon closed the gold window on Aug. 15th, 1971

رائعه جدا وفخمة كأنها الحوت الأزرق يمشي على الارض ❤ غسان من الأردن مواليد دولة الكويت العظيمة ❤
I believe the "port Window" is referred to as an Opera window.

Love this car man
Best year for the mark series, that and 1998,
69 MK III hubcaps are a nice upgrade
I had that exact car only one level down with cloth seats. It was a car that would go from coast to coast like the wind...
I actually prefer the cloth over leather - I've seen very, very few with cloth though so yours is fairly rare.
LINCOLN sayang 😍💕😍💕💕😍💕tidak suka senang 😊😃😃😃😊😊😃oke 👍yes👍👍😍😍😍👍
Wish I would have seen this sooner. Looking for one exactly like it to buy.
This does not look at all like a 50 yr old car! Could put back in the showroom!
I have the exact same car and it’s amazing. It doesn’t have the original radio tho
I wish the antenna would go down when you turn the radio off and up when you turn the radio on
I have lost antenna’s in car washes
Gorgeous car, nice presentation, BTW!
very-very nice, did it sell yet
We blame gas prices but CAFE standards killed land yachts too

WEAK WEAK WEAK ENGINE. YOU HAD TO BE AN ARAB TO DRIVE IT. BEAUTIFUL,
BUT A SLUG. IF YOU PUSHED THESE CARS ON A TRIP, THEY WERE A MAJOR LETDOWN.
Stop saying beautiful we can make our own decisions salesman
You’re right, it’s gorgeous.

The grill bar can be removed easily, without evidence.
@davidbolt5113 doesn't tlit leave holes though?
