One of the best renditions on any story ive ever heard...would love to hear more lovecraft from this team...
He and the other founder of the HPL historical society actually did two full audiobooks of his work! One of just his writing, the other of his collaborations. They're the best narrators of Lovecraft ever 👏

It's nice to find an actual good reading of Lovecraft. A lot of the "top" youtube search choices actually suck pretty bad, but you guys actually know how to narrate and read effectively and convincingly. I wish you guys were further up in the youtube search instead of lot of these other bozos. Keep it up.

Andrew Leman is a superb reader. It is always a treat to get a chance to listen to him reading - especially Lovecraft.
This is great, not only because of the narration, but the sound design and ambience/music too. Top class!!

this is without doubt the best telling of this story out there. minimal and very effective sound design paired with the incredible narrating by the ever reliable Andrew Leman. Hope we get the entire lovecraft library with this treatment.

I've listened to this probably a dozen times. A great, reading. Andrew does it again.
The narrator has a very nervous touch to his voice, which heightens the tension and makes him an excellent horror narrator.
Sound design is perfect.
The scene where he wakes up climbing the ladder always gets me a little creeped out. Love it

Wonderful story, one of his best. A metaphor for the military draft maybe?

This is one of my absolute favorite H.P. Lovecraft tales and this telling of it is fantastic! Those creepy sounds in the background are wonderful and scary. I love it.

Absolutely the best reading
The shinning trapazohedren. I think. Is probably a tiny well fationed and polished piece of the Blind Idiot God of Nuclear Chaos. Nyarlathotep's progenitor. It's "father" one could say. An awsome part 2 of the latter tale: The Shambler from the Stars! And the closing tale. Speaks truth to my theory. Shadow from the Steeple.
