I had a similar experience when I was 20 and I was just so sleepy and tired in the train. I woke up to seeing the opposite aisle seats full of middle aged aunties just giving me the stinky eye. This is in Singapore and I needed to alight at Chinatown. I was still half dazed and could not process anything until I look into the mirror reflection (underground tunnel) and saw that my head was still on this random stranger's shoulder and he was reading and flipping the newspaper. He's quite young, in his early twenties. I quickly got up and kept quiet the whole time and told myself to get out right at the next stop. I couldn't even say sorry or thank you, it's like the words were stuck in my throat. When I exited the train doors, I saw him slipping from behind and he walked past me. Thinking back, I felt so bad for him cause he might have missed his stop and I didn't even say thanks. 1. I'm a Malay(f) and the random stranger is a Chinese(m). 2. I started wearing the hijab a few days before this incident happened. 3. I swear it felt like the start of a rom-com scene. Whoever you are random stranger, I'll always be grateful and sorry to you..🙏🙏🙏🙏
