Well in China its complicated, they added more restriction recently like in the media you can only show same sex relationship in adult oriented things , like the manga tamen degushi that show 2 girls in a relationship was prohibited to show scenes where they kiss, because it is in a teens comics... But being gay is not a crime there in the other hand and theres even the lgbt pride parade there theres 2 lgbt events in China the Shanghai pride that show art related to lgbt and the hong kong parade that is the same as the pride parade in USA...
