- Pokemon Scarlet and Violet were only recently released a little while ago, but there has already been some cut content discovered about them! From cut Pokemon, to cut items, and more, there were some interesting things considered for Scarlet and Violet that didn't quite make the cut, and in this video, we are going to talk all about them!

I think what the 2 unused items were originally used for was to transform koridon/miraidon into their battle forms from their ride forms originally but was scrapped later on as it is just a menu option now
That's a very good guess and I believe that is the most likely possibility but I guess we shall see if they decided to reuse them for DLC purposes or not.

I also think that but not for koridon and miradon, but maybe they were the original items that you get to evolve charcadet, but then got the two armor item models instead
My theory is that these were the original items for Booster Energy. But were scrapped and added to one item because it would be more useful since you'd have to trade the item as well and they're not guaranteed anyway

I think that the names described in Koraidon's and Miraidon's dex entries could be their "Paradox name" since we know that they both are Paradox forms of Cyclizar

Getting into game development, when it comes to the Yanma and Quagsire gift pokemon, I can absolutely imagine that they were just for testing the gifting mechanic before they had the actual gift pokemon added in, maybe before they'd finalised the dex, hence Yanma
Maybe the two scrapped stones were the beta versions of the booster energy? Since the past and future paradox pokemons have different names for their abilities but both can still be activated by holding the same item, that always kinda bugged me tbh
Maybe they made them into one item because they were thinking about the balance of paradox Mon in online. That way people can't just run 2 boosted paradox Pokemon
@@primepikachu5 Which ironically didn't really work out anyways. Mainly since there are like 15 other hard checks to that strategy that pretty much every team should have. And or be able to do not even just getting them to switch. But you could give the Booster to your future form so you don't have to use Pincurchin to activate it. Then have a way to set up Sun for your past mon.
It could even be more consistent then Booster Energy since you can do it more then once. And you can actually hold a real item. Since I hate to say it Booster Energy is just Basically Maranga and Kee Berry but with the option to hit any stat you want that decent with the right investments. But with how many ways there are to lose them I just don't really see it as worth.
I honestly find them disappointing overall I like a lot of their designs over half of them are useless above Under Used. Which isn't even entirely the fault of their stats or movepools or typing entirely. But mainly not having an actual ability or item outside of a counter-able stat boost. That or being like Brute Bonnet and having a Worse typing and Spread for what you do then your original counterpart.
Gift quagsire and yanma makes me think maybe we were supposed to get a regional variant of Yanma + new evolution. If so, I hope they're still on the table for the DLC!
There actually was a rumor of a paradox yanmega that was dragon/bug type.
kinda random but my thought of the 2 stones are maybe turning pokemon to their respective paradox forms
It would be kind of cool if you could use the ride forms of Koraidon/Miraidon in battle, but they start off with base stats equal to about 1/8 of their battle form's base stats, gaining an additional 1/8 of that base stat total for each Herba Mystica you find and heal it with.
Note to Gamefreak: Finish your games! I can't even believe that I have to say things like that!
The thing is, Pokemon is such a gigantic franchise that things sometimes can't be delayed. GF know that games need to be finished to their fullest, but it's something that had to be done. Also cut content doesn't indicate an unfinished product at all.
Koraidon & Miraidon battle forms are actually shown in the play section where you have to follow them getting out of the cave, which is from the very start of the game mate
I imagine the legendaries just had dex entries written by default with additional ones created for all forms. Then when it came to implementation, it may not have made sense to include it. Or maybe the pokemon was meant to show in your dex as seen and this be its generic description before we learn more? Though...theres potential for spoilers the moment the entry is written.
Most likely they may come with the DLCs we all know will definitely come.
They should fix the damn game first.
@@tentrilliconlp7748 Didn't they patch the game today? Gamefreak isn't known for their speed but I do believe we'll get more patches in the future, especially because of the fact that they want the games to look good for people to buy the DLCs for.

@@fraserodonnell7618pokemon home is not the same as being able to have your old pokemon or your favourite pokemon the game with you. realistically there is no logical reason for them not to include them they have the models and they have the storage space in the game to hold them so like why not. They are bragging about hitting 1000 pokemon with gholdengo but you can't have all 1000 in the game.
The one about Koraidon and Miraidon capable of battling in their ride forms is further supported by the fact that the Pokedex entries for Koraidon list it's form as the 'Apex Build' and for Miraidon list it's form as 'Ultimate Mode'.
I think I have some ideas that explain the cut content
There might have been a regional variant or convergent form of Yanma planed (more likely the former) where you could have gotten classic Yanma as a gift or trade. The high level I would think was more of a dev not to remind them that it was meant to be a late or post game thing. Though this may mean that we could get some version of Yanma within DLC
I don't have much to say about the cut convergent forms, other than I don't think we'll see them in DLC. While there do seem to be a number of unknown rules about convergent forms, I think one of them is that the forms that ones they are biased on are not meant to appear in the wild of the region the convergent forms are found in (which I think is also how it works in real life).
The cut items may have something to do with the pokedex entries for the ride forms. Maybe the items where what allowed them to switch forms, but it got too complicated with how you use the ride forms all the time in the overworld so the items where cut

Also if that was one of the rules, then I would have thought that it would have been the first to have been broken anyways
The two items look like they’re for the paradox suicine and Verizon. Rocks for the psychic verizion, and rock crystals for paradox suicine.
The convergent evolutions for Magikarp and Gyarados sound interesting. I hope we get to see them in the Scarlet and Violet DLC. It’s cool that we were originally going to able to use Ride form Koraidon and Miraidon in battle!
Maybe they'll be available as DLC promotion like the Galarian Slowpoke was back in the day.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are great games but man seriously the games needed 2 more years in the oven. Knowing the Pokemon Company I wouldn't be suprised if we see this Cut Content was DLC come Pokemon Day.
Some of them will be like the mysterious items while some are intentionally kept for later like the Third Legendary.
@GoinGreninja I know those Mysterious Items are most likely key items in my opinion will probably refer to form change tied to the 3rd Legendary Pokemon.

in the trailer that reveals the legendaries there is a sandstorm happening where the lurking steel titan is supposed to be, but in the game's release, the area only gets rainstorms and only the asado desert gets sandstorms.

Video Idea: what if every Pokémon got extra attention? Basically, every Pokémon that doesn’t have one already, gets a mega evolution, signature Z move, convergent variant, regional variant or gigantamax.

What if the unused items are version exclusive fossils for the DLC? Ambrette Town is fairly far south of Kalos, could reuse the fossil restoring device there.

Jhoto re-makes D O N ' T G E T Y O U R H O P E S U P! I don't think that there will be re-makes as good as heart gold and soul silver. (Hoping for black and white re-makes) never played the original. But I would love to play re-makes cause the originals are stupid expensive.
I really wish people would stop calling Toedscool and Wiglett convergent forms. It gives people the wrong idea about convergent evolution in general.
God, I would kill for a Let's Go Johto... (based on Crystal or HGSS)

My guess is that the stones would have potentially be evolution stones for Cyclizar, allowing for an extra Koriadon or Miraidon (or to get the opposite pokémon in your version of the game without trading).
What if those two items were originally intended to be version-exclusive Pokemon Fossils for reviving Fossil Pokemon, but those Pokemon were abandoned, but the items were accidentally left in the game data, or perhaps there will be Fossil Pokemon in which you use those (fossil) items in the DLC, I wonder..?
Maybe the quasire and yawnma were used for gift giving testing?
Or maybe, they will be gift Pokemon in the future once the DLC comes out.
The items are most likely something to change miraidon and korriadons forms?
My best guess to the 2 unused stones is scrapped eveelutions, the red one would make a gemstone like rock evee, and the purple one would bake a futuristic steel evee

My guess is that they decided to not use the convergent variants of Magikarp and Gyarados BECAUSE of how iconic they are. While I'm sure many of us agree that those variants would be super cool, there would also be a lot of backlash from people who believe the originals are perfect and shouldn't be messed with.

My guess is that they're saving the magikarp convergent line for a China region (if we ever get one), since the line is heavily inspired by the Chinese myth of 鲤鱼跃龙门, which is that if a carp jumps through the dragon gate waterfall, it will turn into a dragon. So if this ever happens, my guess is that convergent Gyarados might be dragon type
But isn’t the whole point of convergent Pokémon the fact that they look similar to another Pokémon but based on a completely different thing? Like Diglett being a mole and Wiglett being an eel?
The Pokémon Company making a region based off of China and Korea is unlikely because of their tenuous relations with the Japanese.

Since convergent lines look alike, the line will always have that og inspiration going on. So who knows, magikarp might become a useless dragon while gyarados becomes a dragon fairy since dragons are considered celestial

The red crystal thing could be a rare item that is equivalent of having 50 terra shards to change a Pokemon terra type, the stone could be linked to paradox Pokemon somehow
6:04 probably was considered to be a way to change pokemon into their paradox forms. Having the paradox forms be a sort of evolution and you have an ancient stone and a future stone todo it with.
The ride forms dex entries was an awesome surprise!!
I think the two items were going to be the materials you would need to collect to make the armors to evolve charcadet into its two evolutions but was changed at some point to what we use now

They don't really look much armor. Maybe it was something to do with Koraidon and Miraidon. Maybe it changes their form or something.

i was gonna say i thought the items looked like Evolution stones, but the very next piece of cut content got me thinking that they'd have been equivalent to the Rusted Sword and Shield from last gen, in that they would cause Koraidon and Miraidon to transform into their Apex Build and Ultimate Mode respectively
The items must be Orichalcum Mineral and Quark Engine, used to activate the Paradoxes' ability... They probably just fused them into one item... Typical lazy game freak...

The Magikarp and Gyarados convergent pokemon could have been pushed back until the mask dlc as it's set during a festival and a karp kite Magikarp and paper dragon Gyarados fits a festival theme
I bet the stones were meant for paradox pokemon. One for future, one for past, but the idea got scrapped and they just merged them all with quark drive and booster energy.

Regarding the amount of Johto related stuff, considering that, in past Pokémon games, we've been teased, I think Johto is going to get another remake.
Those two items look to me like they could've been previous evolution items for Charcadet and Armarouge/ Ceruledge.
Maybe the two cut items were the original evolution items for Scorookie? Probably not, but the purple one reminds me of the malicious armour.
The DeX entries for the Ride forms give them their Paradox names (Winged King and Iron Serpent)
Those two items could be used to evolve a cycalzar into the legendary but I believe that the scarlet one would be in violet and the violet one in scarlet so u can get the other legendary so u can complete that dex. Or maybe not

i know this is about cut context but i feel like its weird seeing a pokemon game without phantump, yamask, and litwick, i really hope in a DLC if we ever get one for scarlet and violet we can get those 3 pokemon back- most likely not but hey. it dosent hurt to hope usally. also the tought of sending ride form miraidon into battle seems kinda funny to me

I feel yanma is for another Pokémon that resist it. Something ground or psychic
You actually can have 2 box legendaries. You can add ride form to your party if you have an open spot in the end game. It changes from ride to battle form. But the second you ride it? It’s removed from your party. You just have to re-add him.
A point in favor of the ride forms originally being useable is that in a randomizer mod (used by Pointcrow in a recent video), it is actually possible to end up getting the ride forms, and their animations are buggy but they battle just fine (though the mod didnt account for movepools, i imagine it would just be the same movepool as their battle forms)
Those stones look like they could have been used on Pokemon with Paradox forms akin to Evolutionary stones.
I don't really know if I'm excited for the dlc anymore I just hope it's good also maybe the items give a new form to the two new paradoxes in the books
So regarding the ride forms being used in battle I think it was pointcrow who did this but someone did a randomizer and ended up with koridons ride form in a battle
Gamefreak just might give us paradox forms of gyarados instead of convergent.

I would like to see Game Freak, Pokémon Company and Nintendo release Pokémon Heartgold and Soulsilver switch ports to the switch! They can also make Pokémon Let’s Go Johto which can have versions focused on Raikou and Entei and also Pokémon Legends Johto!
