I like your breakdown of costs and your videos. Hopefully you can survive till better times because right now you are one breakdown away from a large loss.
Hello , thank you for the videos and insight , could you please do a Drop and Hook only load board search please 🙏🏽 out of ATL- OH- FL ? Be safe , God Bless 🌹
FLHS. I believe that means flatbed hotshot load so basically a pick up truck pull Elena gooseneck trailer. Maybe somebody else knows but that’s what I think it means.
To one of the Questions below; The LandStar Network is Great "If you are looking to stay busy." NOTE: You can definitely stay busy, but the debate over whether it's a Profitable Busy has yet to be resolved, and is open for interpretation. To The Creator: The idea of Showing the Confirmations is one of contention, and one that I would seriously consider carefully. Albeit "Transparency" is your Schtick (if you will) you might find some in the network having issues with that kind of information being so public. (Depending on how you do it.) Checking with those at Corporate would be advised before considering future episodes. I considered the same, and was told some may frown on that if not done properly. (ie: making sure that personal details are masked out.) Keep up what you are doing with the channel... Your format is a very Unique and informative, and dare I say "Addictive" to watch. #ThatsTruckin #TruckinCity
Good point. Those weren't the actual confirmations. It just shows what load I booked. The actual confirms you get in an email and i wont show that. Definitely see your point though. I think I'm in the clear just showing the booked loads on the app though.
I fired in a daily and play a little cash. Lost the tourney and broke even in cash. I dont think ill be playing any events at series. Not enough time and not super into the games anymore...
Former BCO, I thought I was booking loads for a set rate couple of days in advance. These shady agents drop the rate without any notice. They claim it’s change in fuel surge charge for less.
No way! I've thought about Landstar this is eye opening. Thanks for the video. Obviously no family to feed. I would agree with the one guy's comment of poverty. Sorry man I hope like you said it would get better
You have to get over the cents per mile attitude. You get paid percentage at landstar not mileage. Most of the “long haul” freight is cheap!!!! Try taking multiple runs from east to west instead of one long one. Try to aim for a minimum of $1400 a day to the truck before Landstar’s cut. Anything less is just burning fuel & tearing up equipment.
@truckingthesevenseas thanks brother. I've thinking about going back to flatbed but when I'm finding over $3 a mile dry van I just can't see doing it right now.
@@truckingthesevenseas I’ve got a couple of friends that run Flatbed (owner ops) but they say they make much more money than a lot of guys doing Van. Just putting that out there 👀. Strapping is easier than it looks man.
@@truckingthesevenseas my man. yea flatbed 48ft scale 48,000lbs only do a 100 mile radius-start with 50. im hus curious to what they got goin on because freight fell off for me outa tha burgh and idk who picced it up.
YES, Landstar is really that good!! He's just running lanes that aren't the most profitable. On the other hand, if you notice, he is still living life on his terms. He's visiting family. He's playing in poker tournaments.
Correct. Running the midwest and south is the most profitable. I will do that a little more but recently the maintenance issues have forced my to grab long weekend loads back and forth west coast to east coast so its been hamstringing me.
I like your breakdown of costs and your videos. Hopefully you can survive till better times because right now you are one breakdown away from a large loss.
Could definitely happen... So far lots of small problems.
Platform shippers and receivers 99% are usually closed weekends. That’s why you see us sitting at truck stops doing a reset on weekends.
This video right there shows how trucking is bad these days 😢 averaging $850/weekly is the worst
I have been home 26 days and I came out last Friday, 7900 for 1600 Mike's heading home. I am now going to stay home till July. Try again, then
Maintenance and downtime like you said are killing you. Hopefully the APU issue is under warranty. Love the content and spreadsheet.

I would book a dry van load with a reefer for the weekend

@@truckingthesevenseas Good Show - Keep up the good work...N Keep R Rollin!
Flatbed is also 73% for the driver at landstar with a weekly trailer rental fee of 175
I fired 4 bullets at the mystery millions tournament. No luck but made it all back in cash games at Aria. Lots of action at aria 2/5 game

Can you please make the Landstar spreadsheet downloadable please? It is saying that access is required to download. I just started working at landstar
Phone calls important for newbies please
I know but unfortunately it just takes way too much time. That's why the last few episodes were late and i had to combine a couple weeks together.
On the load board, is that rate to the truck or do you need to take LS cut out of that rate?
You need to take Landstar's cut from it.
Format is good. However, would you do loadboards for the following Monday so we can see what new week loads look like? Thanks in advance.
Sure Ill try doing a weekday load next week. Monday has come and gone though so it'll be a regularly weekday.
You at the wsop
Why focus on rate per mile, when you should focus on revenue per day?
How many miles does your truck has?.

Sorry to hear you're having APU issues
Seems like they found the issue in Vegas
Hi brother good job and can u give me the information on how u keep up with everything on the computer
Little confused. What do you mean keep up with everything on my computer?

Hey, this is Zeke Dawg I'm a youtuber as well. What software do you us to show the truck driving on the map to your destination?
Travel boast. In the app store... Its like 20 a year for the full version.
@truckingthesevenseas thanks brother. I've thinking about going back to flatbed but when I'm finding over $3 a mile dry van I just can't see doing it right now.
Radius 0? I’d drive a 100-200 miles for a really good load.
Do you run just Van and Refer?
Just Van actually. I've done reefer but didn't like the load times

Is that rate before or after Landstar takes there cut?
Before
I'll be applying to landstar soon. How do I put you as a referral?
There isn't one unfortunately... I looked but Land star doesn't do referrals. Thank you for thinking about it though.
@@truckingthesevenseas that's a bummer. It does have a spot for you to list who referred you on the application.
APU should be under warranty
It is. I am not paying for it... just with time really.
Give us a recap on your poker experience.
Only played in a daily. Lost it. I'm not super into poker anymore. Heading back on the road...
mann i need u to do a 48 ft flatbed 48,000 pittsburgh pa area one time for me bro! jus since i been subbed so long. one time for tha time broski💪🏼

Freightliner is a horrible truck IMO, there’s a lot of sensor issues.
So what 3 trucks are better ? Walmart and all the big Trucking companies mostly have Freightliners
Bigger companies have mechanics but for a one man owner you would have to stock up on sensors.
@@OromoAkh
Volvo's have way more sensors.
Is Landstar really that good?
Good?
Understand that Landstar still takes their percentage from what u see

$845 a week net pay. I can’t get over that. Poverty.
Dumb comment
Ouch
Well. you seams .... confused.... maybe you should slow down and rethink a little...
U picking the worst loads and you running in the worst part of the country.
