I’m so proud of Justine. She has stepped up to whisky like a true Irish lass, like stepping into a cow pie in a green Irish meadow, like stepping of a ship and falling into the Irish Sea, like stepping on her fellow dancer’s toes while dancing, drunk off her Irish ass. Are all Irish women so great!
I would like to thank the Try Channel! I just got back from Orlando, Florida with my family. We hit all the theme parks. Thanks to this Channel, I drank my way around the world!!! I literally got a drink in every world at Epcot. Your Channel gave me the idea. My Mother-n-law was with us and I've never gotten along with her as well as I did when I was hammered! The Try Channel... bringing family together!

Justine and Dermot are by far the best pair to ever grace this channel. They’re absolutely hilarious on their own, but their chemistry together is just brilliant! They never fail to make me laugh!
I'll agree that Sean's was the best attempt, and that everyone else somehow sounded even more Irish. But it was some sort of American caricature, it didn't resemble Kentucky at all.
While I love -all- most of the Tryers, Justine always makes me smile and laugh. Her special brand of sunshine always makes my day, which I greatly need and appreciate.
As someone born and raised in the heart of the Bourbon trail in the great Commonwealth of Kentucky I really appreciate the attempts at the accent. Made me chuckle for sure. Have a great day people!😂😃
Dermot and Justine were FANTASTIC again!! The chemistry between those two on drinking shoots is magical. You can feel they're having a good time but you never know if suddenly a knife is going to come out and somebody's losing an eye.
They are having fun, as was I watching. Eagle Rare is my favorite 90 proof off the shelf too, until you start going for "single barrels ". Jack Daniels single barrel / barrel strength " currently is my number 1. It is 127 proof with strong maple flavors filling your senses and gives the hug all the way down to your chest. I'm still exploring so as I mature, things are changing. Trying many different Scotch's now and enjoying the journey. Love these videos, thank you from Prescott AZ.
If you like peaty, just go ahead and try the peat monster. It's not a single malt, but man is it a campfire in your mouth, that is if you like Islay style (which is, of course, the best, and most distinctive).
For the price, Eagle Rare is amazing. It's very affordable for a single barrel. It's just very difficult to find in Virginia for some reason. Also as a Virginian... What in the name of hell was that accent?
I was laughing. I live about as far south as you can get without being in North Carolina and I never heard anyone from Virginia that sounded like that.
She's actually doing the accent of the small town of Virginia, County Cavan, Ireland. Something of an Irish in-joke to say that it's the REAL Virginia 😂
For years now Justine Stafford has been one of my favorite human beings in the "Try Universe"... and this video just confirms this opinion. I want to watch a video with nothing but clips of her that haven't been used for the final cuts... not necessarily a "best of", but a, "Oh, you want more, do you?" She's not the only one I'd love to see that for, but like I said, she's near the top. :)
Justine really did an excellent job with reflecting how the Richmond accent is decidedly different from a Tidewater accent. All this time, I have been coming here for the laughs & the accents to sooth my homesickness and, suddenly, my Virginia childhood comes back to me so sweetly 🎶 💜😂

This was so much fun to watch that I had to open a bottle of Eagle Rare and chase it down with some Maker's Mark. Glad to see the Try Channel spreading the good news about those two. Sadly I've given up liquor for Lent! so I came back to watch the video today.
Justine sounds like a character from Beevis & Butthead when she does the Virginia accent. Hearing Irish people trying to do US accents is as fun as the reverse.
Don't be surprised if there is a hoard of Virginians who try to invade Ireland over that imitation of an accent. I spent a fair amount of time in my youth visiting with my father's family, and while I will admit it was a chore to understand my cousin when she got on a tear about something, I never heard anyone with an accent anywhere near that one. And, more recently, as I traveled through "deep south" Virginia, North and South Carolina and Georgia, I never heard anything like the accent attempted here. Funny thing there, as soon as I crossed into Florida, I could have sworn I was back up north where I live.
What I can't figure out is why does Justine get louder while ATTEMPTING a Virginian accent? Does she think Southerners shout at each other? Oh, wait a minute .... hmmmm.
Can we please just make it a requirement that all Try sessions are done in an attempted accent from the place the object being tried came from? I would binge the channel if that occurred, that section was golden! 😂
I genuinely love every Try-er in this video, but I can’t help but to gravitate to Dermot and Justine. I guess that’s why their podcast has been so wonderful 💜
I am glad y'all liked the Eagle Rare. It is also inexpensive. A fifth(750ml) is $34 with tax. For example the Makers is closer to $40 before tax. Prices vary, in west Texas that is what I pay.
Irish whisky is like a hug. American like arm wrestling. Absolutely flipping genius sir. Could not agree more. Reflection of the times. Our aged whiskies were relatively later starting than yours. A ton if what colonial and early American drinkers called whiskey was really just unaged ever clear from continuously operating stills. Not all but a huge majority. The Kentucky guys aging it was a frontier conservation of resources deal back in the early 1800s I think.

There is an American bourbon called "Kentucky Silk". The next time you do this you should include that one - it is sooooo smooth that even someone who doesn't like whisky would like it. And its best at room temp served neat - no ice no nothing.
The dynamic duo of Dermot and Justine always make me laugh! Eagle Rare is a fine, fine bourbon. I definitely prefer bourbons with more corn in the mash.
As an American I actually drink bottles upon bottles if Irish whiskey. I must say though, Eagle Rare is a premium contender as a top five whiskey. And it lives up to it's name being very hard to acquire as it is made in small batches and isn't displayed on shelves. It's literally a whiskey that you have to be on a waiting list for or know a connection on the inside.
Or just go to your local liquor store on their drop days and get a bottle. Used to be a bit easier to find. But then again, even wellers and buffalo trace are allocated now. Only thing I can't seem to get right is getting a bottle of Knob 12 year. I always miss the drop
Mhmm could be due to high percentage of people drinking bourbon in the states. Eagle Rare is easily available in the UK. A few other supermarkets apart from TESCO have them as well. Of course the alc vol is lower by a small margin.
I say during dvd viewing of passion of Christ at a friends house, I drank 16 beers.. 8% each. I can't even do this any more! Age creeps up on you.. sadly.
Eagle Rare is definitely decent and Makers Mark a good wheater fit for mixers or a really mellow night cap, but dear Lord, try picking some good bourbons rather than from the bottom shelf.
As an American, who lives in Maryland which borders on Virginia, I'm giving this vid a mercy-like to encourage you to take more accent lessons. (PS: I've no right to complain, as I'm pretty crap at accents myself. maybe I should try bourbon?)
I could honestly watch these videos just for the Irish accent and slang thrown in. I absolutely love it!!! Also just to say a lot of American love Irish whiskey but always make that famous sour face. Me I particularly love Irish whiskey and as an American I find and love "Jameson" as a staple and love the slight Pete smoke flavor of Irish whiskey. American whiskey I find sour and harsh but still could drink with a chaser as I don't need with Irish whiskey. Also bourbon I tend to taste a metallic taste that I can't stand.
I love maker’s mark for what it is. A lower-middle priced bourbon with a higher priced flavor profile. It’s not the best whiskey I’ve ever had, but it’s a great go to.
Darren Lalor actually is a whiskey professional. I was visiting Dublin last year and was searching for an Irish whisky at this whisky specialty store. A staff member asked if I needed help. It was Darren! By God he knows his stuff!
I just love the Try channel SO much. All the ladies are sensational, lovely, and witty and the lads seem nice, respectable and safe. It’s great fun to watch and it makes me smile so much!
I want to come back to Ireland, i stayed there for 10 days with my best friend, and you guys have the best clean air i've experienced and the best pubs. Id love to buy some of you a few drinks and bring over some good rarer American bourbon
I suddenly feel validated for every Irish accent I’ve ever poorly attempted. 😂

Sean's accent: really good, actually. Everyone else that tried an American accent sounded even more Irish! Or the Lucky Charms leprechaun.
At one point there was a little Mary Poppins style British accent. 😁

I say during dvd viewing of passion of Christ at a friends house, I drank 16 beers.. 8% each. I can't even do this any more! Age creeps up on you.. sadly.
Love love love the alcoholic shoots, y’all crack me up 😂 My dad was born in KY, those Bourbon county folks are “special” ♥️
There's always Seth Meyers' Impressions Camp...
She was doing Virginia, County Cavan, Ireland not Virginia, US lmao
I wish people in Richmond sounded like that though tbh
As a lifelong Kentuckian it makes me happy to see others taste bourbon, especially Eagle Rare (my everyday bourbon) 🙂 The reviews are hilarious
I like it for the cherry notes in it's aftertaste.
Agreed. Reliable and reasonable
dermot and justine's accents were truly on point.
not
No. Just...no. :)
Sorry, no.
not really but i'd love to drink with those 2
Justine sounds like an Irish version of Oscar the Grouch, and Dermot looks like one!
Apparently Virginia is for Muppets, not lovers.
I love Eagle Rare! Especially with a good cigar. 👍
Top choices on the whiskey brands all around. Good one.
speaking as a Virginian, that's the best Virginia accent I've ever heard. 100 percent.
Straight out of Blue Ridge.

Is it just me or does Justine sound like Yoda when she does the Virginia accent?
true
Cross between Yoda and Elmo, I think ...
@@an0nymity666 YES
@@an0nymity666 Yoda and Grover perhaps, as both are done by Frank Oz.
I'm just gonna state what we're all thinking. Stafford's American "accents" were spot on! 👍
Darren Lalor actually is a whiskey professional. I was visiting Dublin last year and was searching for an Irish whisky at this whisky specialty store. A staff member asked if I needed help. It was Darren! By God he knows his stuff!
Brilliant commentary ... laughed all the way through
I just love the Try channel SO much. All the ladies are sensational, lovely, and witty and the lads seem nice, respectable and safe. It’s great fun to watch and it makes me smile so much!
😂 I love the American accents. Makes me feel so much better when we butcher others like on St. patty’s day
Paddy's day.. not Patty's day!
As a former bartender, I laughed so hard at the SF bartender making eye contact and free pouring 🤣🤟eyyyy now it's a party!
I want to come back to Ireland, i stayed there for 10 days with my best friend, and you guys have the best clean air i've experienced and the best pubs. Id love to buy some of you a few drinks and bring over some good rarer American bourbon
At 1:43 Dermot went full on Scooby Doo language. Very American. 5 stars.
There's a bar in San Francisco called The High Dive that had Maker's Mark and Patron on tap!
