Koodos to you! I’ve always wondered what it was like at goat lake. Usually not many go there but you guys are very tenacious and brave! Absolutely gorgeous! Thank you so much for braving that challenging trail! 😎
Thank you for sharing this incredible hike with us! Really cool to see the lakes that were off-trail too! We haven't explored the Sawtooths yet, but hope to someday. Beautiful scenery all around! Nice job! 👍
“This is where the unreasonable section begins” send the wife up first!🤣🤣🤣🤣 Great Hike 👍👍👍 Beautiful place . Looks like I’m gonna need to make some plans for next summer in that area?
The truth of the matter is that Sandy is more agile, faster and can out hike me 10 ways to Sunday. She prefers to hike in front and I don't mind. The only time I get to be the hero and lead the way is if there are spider webs across the trail. 😏
Hello! Great video. Is there any way you can give me navigational information on the last portion of the hike? I've read reviews and it sounds a bit intimidating.
The steep section was for about a half mile before the lake. The key is to not miss the turn. If you study the video closely, you'll see the gap between the trees to the left. We marked it with rocks and a log on the way down, but that may not still be there when you go. We could see that the vast majority of the people missed the turn and went straight up where we went. If you stay on the trail, it never really gets that bad. The waterfall was fairly close to the lake. It was far more difficult going to the other side of the lake so I don't recommend that part for the casual hiker.
It took us almost 10 hours. There was a fair amount of off-trail route finding but we actually went the slowest as we followed the "trail" along the lakeshore.

Wonderful video. Definitely adding this place to my list.
You 2 are amazing and hard core! Thank you for sharing.
That sure was a beautiful lake. Would make a nice wall photo around 5 minutes or so.
I appreciate your videos! Inspires me to hike outside if my little world up here in the North Cascades.
You guys are an inspiration for me.

I just uploaded the details to Alltrails. Here's the link: www.alltrails.com/explore/map/goat-lake-1f9b616
how far along the "unreasonable" section is the waterfall? Id like to bring some less agile hikers to see that if going to Sawtooth Lake.

How many hours did it take you for the entire hike? Been avoiding this one due to crowds but gonna give it a go once the smoke clears. Great video!

That's a sketchy trail.
