I did this hike solo a couple years ago in early November - there was little snow, and the lake was frozen. I was the only one on the drainage and the last one up for the year. I wanted to do it again in the spring, but my daughter was born. This is a fantastic hike for anyone considering it - I'd highly recommend! Thank you for the awesome videos!
Brother absolutely love your videos! What all planning goes into doing this. Besides video which I know is probably ALOT with quality of video. But with getting your family there and lodging would love to know your process! Once again love seeing all these places! I went to Grand Teton as a teenager and desire to take my wife and kids! But through your videos my list is growing of places I want me and my family to see and experience!
Thanks so much Andrew! I love making these videos, especially for people like you. Emily and I are almost empty nesters, we only have a few years left with the girls at home. Take your family out on adventures as much as possible because the time goes way to fast. Direct message me on Instagram and I can discuss my process more if you would like. If you're not on Instagram let me know here, and we'll figure something out 👍. The Tetons are a great place to help light a fire for adventure in your kids and family😃! Cheers my friend!
Just did this for the first time on Tuesday! Waterfalls still roaring off the cliff. Man, that was quite the climb to get to the lake. So worth it though! Thanks for the great video!
@KavaniLoyan What peak is that exactly? (7:06) I'm wondering what's the most logical way to cross over to the other side of Pio Range from Kane Lake. Kane Lake TH to Hyndman TH is the plan.
Thanks Jason! We had a great time out there. Emily and I are looking hard at moving out there sometime when the girls have flown the coop. I might be heading out there again in September if the weather is right, cheers bro!
Thank you Austin! There’s something special about Idaho. Emily and I are looking hard at moving there when the girls are out of the house 😁. It’s incredible there! Cheers!
@@HolisticHikes PNW is amazing! Heading back to Washington twice in August, can’t wait! I’m about to start editing a couple adventures Dalton and I had out there last fall 😁
@@TheMountainMatt We are big fans of your videos. We are a missionary family watch from Manila Philippines. We usually watch your content during dinner. God Bless you guys.
Did this hike last year but too much snow to make it to the lake but we got really close. By the way it’s pronounced devils bed-sted as in a head board for a bed (for the devil) ;)
I figured I was mispronouncing it 😂 I might be going back to tackle one of those peaks in September, so thanks for the correction 👍🏼 hopefully you get a chance to get back up there this summer! Cheers!
That was the last week of June. It was a cool spring and there was a late spring snow storm in the west that dumped a ton of snow out there. I’d bet that it’s typically a little dryer than what we experienced.
@@TheMountainMatt great thank you I’m planning a month long road trip from Oregon and Sawtooths we’re in the plan so will hit this one at same time in august 👍🏼
@@kimrobb1965 you’ll freak out in the Sawtooths! If you like peak bagging next month’s video is in the same area as well 👍🏼 have a great trip Kim! Let me know if you have any more questions 😁
I'm pretty sure you could camp up there. There was a bunch of real estate in the trees before the lake. Most of that entire area was under water when we were there. If you stay up there, the basin above the cirque is attainable. Would be a super fun scramble and area to explore!
First Like my dear friend 👍🏼 for this beautiful sharing…. Very nice footage..
Have a wonderful weekend. Best regards 👋🏼🙋🏼♂️
Thanks Miki! I very much appreciate you watching kind sir! I hope you're having a wonderful winter, cheers!

The wilderness up there is top notch👍🏼! For such a relatively short hike it packs a huge bunch! Thanks Anthony! Cheers man!
Heck yeah! Made my day seeing this hike again. Those waterfalls coming down into the lake? Super cool you got to see that.
Thought of you when I was editing that vid Drew! Such an awesome cirque up there, Cheers bro!
Great video! That road getting in there though ...
I know right! Definitely high clearance.

I love that cirque! One of my favorites, it's such a sneaky good lake! I'm glad you enjoyed the video and hope it brought you back! Cheers!
The basin above the lake is amazing as well. The peak center right at 7:06 is a fun scramble.
Yeah buddy! I noticed that when I was editing the video that it looked possible to get up there. I bet that’s super fun scramble 👍🏼. Cheers!
