Oh Christine...listening to your story brought tears to my eyes. My grandchildren and now greatgrandchildren call me MawMaw! We traveled around, as you did, when the grandkids were growing up, but now we are retired in Ohio. And I have my great granddaughters come over to visit...take them out to my sewing room...and we do exactly what you did with your great grandmother! Right now, we are working on a surprise quilt for my husband. He is a retired Construction Superintendent who built hospitals, so this quilt is a construction theme. What wonderful memories...what wonderful memories...💗💗💗

I can relate to preferring to stitch larger items. I seem to really enjoy those as well. I have to actually make a conscious effort to stitch smalls and when I do, I really enjoy them as like you said, they stitch up really fast. Autumn bee

First of all gorgeous stitching!!! Wondering do you stitch in hand or what do you use? What do you think are benefits of stitching with q-snap versus hoops ?
I do stitch in hand mostly but depending on the size of my project and the thread count I will use a smallish hoop with the fabric loose enough to still use the sewing method. I’ve not been successful with a Qsnap but I do like that it seems to help prevent wrinkles in your work ☺️

I might! When I stitched The Collector from WTNT I used some buttons from my other Grandma which made it more special for sure!
