Cut Stamped Images Using Cricut Design Space

  • I'll show you two ways to digitize your stamped images, upload them into Cricut Design Space, and save them as print-then-cut files. Once you do this, you can color them first and THEN cut them out, or print out a bunch of stamped images you can cut however you like- and the Cricut will still cut them out for you. Perfect for times when you want duplicates, like for invitations or holiday cards.

    Thank you so much I have been searching for months for a good tutorial on how to get my images and make them into stickers, badges etc. I nearly bought the ScanNCut but then I spotted the Cricut Maker. Was about to give up - only had it two days but have spent all that time trying to work out Design Space on the IPad. Your tutorial is exactly what I was looking for. Xx

    WOW...This is a game changer for me. Making custom cards the time saved will be enormous. PS As always the clarity of your instructions is simply phenomenal.

    This was great!! I've been playing with this idea for awhile. I was on the fence about getting a Brother's Scan and Cut but I knew I should be able to use my cricut to get the same result. A couple more steps but saves me a few hundred dollars! Thanks for putting it all in a video!

    i love this workaround to use your stamps with design space. Honestly, if i am making 20 cards I think id rather duplicate it this way! How cool!

    This is what I needed. At the back of my paper packs, there are ephemera images. I want to be able to make more than just the one they provide. So if I cut them apart and take individual pictures of them, then I should be able to upload them correct? I don't need to convert them to .svg? Thanks.

    Hi thank you for this amazing video. Really needed it! But I have one question...if you do not change the size of the teapot image in the software, will the machine cut out the same size as the original stamped image? Or do we have to measure it manually and then select the size in the software? Thanks a million! Really appreciate it!

      Linda Jamme it's true, using digital stamping and die cutting is not for everybody. But for folks like my mom, who regularly puts out over 50 Christmas cards each year, this could be a huge timesaver for folks like her. Thanks for watching anyway!

      In my example, I wanted to show that you can resize your colored, stamped image once digitized. (Because now you can do ANY size, not only the size of the original stamp. My original stamp was only 1.5 inches- so if I want to color/cut one that is 3", I need to digitize, resize, PRINT, and then cut. I hope that clears it up!

      You aren't REQUIRED to pay a monthly fee to use Cricut Design Space. There is a monthly or annual subscription service called Cricut Access that gives you "access" to a lot more cut files through Cricut Design Space. 💛

      I use my SNC, but this is good info for using a Cricut. I’ve used Silhouette Studio to create a SVG of my stamped image, allows saving as SVG now, to use in my Cricut Maker. I’ve the Business edition, but think the Designer edition allows saving to SVG. It’s possible the free version allows, not sure.

      Cricut doesn't work that way- you'd need a Pix Scan matte and a silhouette OR a Scan N Cut.

    I know this is 2 years later, just watched in 2019, but why is this for our use only? Why can't we sell it if we own the stamp? Is it the copyright on the stamp that prohibits it or Cricut DS? I was under the impression we could sell items we make with Cricut DS.

    • @crafttestdummies
      @crafttestdummies  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's trademark infringement. You bought the right to USE the image, but not to sell items with it. Cricut still owns the rights to the images. (This makes sense with Disney or Marvel images, but it applies to all of them.)
