I built my first demolition derby car at 17yrs old. 40yrs ago. It was a 1957 Studebaker President 4dr. 283/powerglide and spool rear end. Got clobbered in the consolation round.
Hey for the first time running a derby she did a great job. That was a tough first derby against a bunch of killer cars. You guys took some massive hits for sure. I've run derbies for 20 plus years but never with a passenger or being a passenger, that takes guts on its own. Also you did a excellent job building that hotrod that thing was tough.
Hope all the other guys she smoked in their driver's doors are OK. Driver door hits will get you DQed at most derbies. More than once she nailed them without even attempting to let off or brake.

Stroker in it with a 350
