Wow!!! What a beautiful and magnificent nature there! Great tour as always. The relaxing music and the view are perfect. Thanks for sharing, my friend.🥷🇯🇵
Thanks, Craig! I enjoyed the scenery and tips 😊 What a beautiful place to visit! The scenery is truly impressive and beautiful to see. Your footage is so lovely. Thank you for sharing, my friend! 👍
Always love your adventures in climbing Canyonlands, exciting and interesting. Share the extraordinary beauty of nature. Thank you for these 10 tips for improving film making, very useful.
Oh heck yeah, I learned something! The information about panning in one direction is something that I don't do, but I will! Running the camera along a feature as a subject enters and moves in the same direction is definitely a keeper, and the rule of thirds also speaks to me! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you. All these tips are nothing new. They are already out there on TH-cam. Hopefully, some people who watched this can learn something and apply it to their videos.
Great tips. My personal fav of yours is when you shoot from the ground’s perspective. Another thing you do well is the use of music, the lizard scene for example. Just like we taste with our nose, music adds to our visual experience. Your work is inspiring.
Thank you. This is a great comment. I appreciate it. I try hard to find music that will fit the scene, and look for interesting angles to film. Hope you have a great weekend.
I'm glad you made a video like this. As you know, I've always thought your shots are among the best from a creativity standpoint. It was nice of you to share your expertise. 👍
Thank you. I was reluctant to shoot something like this. All these tips are nothing new though. They are already out there for people to find on TH-cam. I wouldn’t call myself an expert. I just try to be creative and apply what I’ve learned.
Amazing views of the canyons from the 3 Overlook Points. Thank you for sharing tips on filming too, very useful . I would like to hike here one day too! L39. Happy Friday! 8:36
Excellent tips, Craig. Thank you for being generous sharing some of your skills in creating interesting film using all the elements around. I keep this in mind, entirely handy. Loved it L55
Now when I look at my first videos they were really bad. Since then, I watch others work and learn all the time. Great tips Craig, one can really learn a lot from you. Fantastic shots of amazing Canyonlands 👍❤️
Thanks for the tips Craig, feel each video is getting better compared to my 1st ones I did. The cinematic option on the I phone give great shots when you are up close to an object and then go the full back ground 😊
Thank you. That’s good you should definitely see an improvement from when you first started. As we discover more features we can add different effects.
I think I've mentioned before that I've noticed you have very slick cinematography Craig. Some good tips here for sure. I always struggle filming birds flying overhead for some reason. Good idea on the zoom out, I may have tp use that on my next outro 😊
Thank you. I learned how to film birds by watching another TH-camr. It works so well. Pick one out, place it in the center and follow only that one. Have a great week.
Great video Craig...a few tips there that i shall be trying out...cheers...i think the main thing is having the eye for a certain shot..you surely have that.
This video is really very helpful and great tips for every content creator.I am actually interested in all your shot compositions which tell an interestinh story of your adventures. This is simply outstanding sir Craig and yeah well done as always🎉
Good tips. I may have learned something. 😁 also, I was definitely thinking some of those clips looked much like the Grand Canyon, before you said that in the video.
I really like your filming. It is exceptional! Totally idiotic that just about everyone is holding their cell phones vertically, nor should they accept vertical cell phone videos.
Thank you. That’s another basic tip I could have said in here about vertical. It’s only good for TH-cam shorts or tictoc. All full videos need to be horizontal. Have a great day. 👍
@@CraigKoppel I can’t wait to visit nice and fancy cafes really! But right now I’m busy moving, packing and unpacking😵💫Super busy week! Have a great weekend ❣️
Trust me I’ve thought about not sharing a lot. If everyone films like this then we won’t be unique. All this stuff that I have in this video is already out there. I think most people are gonna watch this and not use anything. Me and you are different. We are always trying to seriously get better and be the best that we can be by learning and applying what we’ve been taught.
Interesting. Do you actually zoom when you are filming or in the editor? I have never gotten it to go smoothly while filming so I wonder if there is a trick or just equipment.
Thank you. Zooming in or out in the editing is always so much smoother and more professional looking. At least for me. I’m sure the really expensive Hollywood cameras can do it while filming. I’ve relaxed a little and have done some zooming while filming recently that wasn’t in the editing.
@@SavvyExploring I mostly use my phone for filming too. They all have great professional cameras nowadays. Even the king of hiking videos, Kraig Adams, said he mostly uses his phone.
Hey there, Craig! @travelingRonman sent me your way. I got your link from his Little Buffalo meetup video. Man, these are great tips. I'm K. My wife Ro and I started our hiking channel last year with a current focus on slackpacking the Appalachian Trail. I'm snagging a subscription to your channel and will be looking for more inspiration from your catalog. I hope you'll come check us out too.

I hope I will remember your valuable tips when I film, but often my footage is too shaky 😂😂 You don't zoom in so much, Graig? What a magnificent, grand nature btw, one of the most beautiful spots on earth I would say, in what state was this? I definitely put it on my list📽️📸🏜️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you. This was in Utah. There are five national parks there and they are all absolutely beautiful. I think I zoom in a lot, but I don’t zoom out often. I forget to do a lot of these when I’m filming. Sometimes I’ll look at my old footage and see a technique that I no longer use and say to myself I really should start using these again.
@@CraigKoppel Utah is on my list, definitely, this is really the most amazing nature, I ve come across. Thanks again for your valuable tips, only thing is I cant remember some of it in the moment of filming 😅👍👍👋
