Nice video, you’re right when you said no one else has spent a lot of time doing a comparison on photo and video quality differences.

Thanks for making this video. I couldn’t find any other comparisons like this.

Thanks for this...I was going to get lenses covers, but I wasn't sure if they were a good idea. I have landed on not getting one. Appreciate it 😊

Most elaborate review about using lens protectors, especially with actual photo/video comparisons of having them vs. not having them. I'll stick to not using them as to not degrade camera quality even in the slightest.

This video is accurate, its precisely what happens when you use a camera lens protector. I have the s23 ultra and really liked how they looked on my lenses, with the cover they looked enormous and so cool, but when it came to night photos and photos including the sun there was tons of lens flare!

I put it on because I really didn’t wanna risk breaking the camera. I did have one on before and dropped my phone 1 foot but a pebble shattered the protector so I figured it was worth it. These protectors suck for camera quality

with or without protector, the light rays are left over wipe marks on glass or lens. horizontal wipes = vertical rays vice versa. if you want to leave some light ray effect on photo leave wipe marks.

Thanks finally i good review i hardly doubt the scratch test the other guy did. Nearly non of those lenses are real sapphire and yes they break and scratch. Another thing for me is the outer part of the camera gets scratches too. Which reduces the price in case you want sell it.
I don't care never had issues therefore i continue using them. But i have the version where each glass is protected individually. Has the benefit that the protector comes in nearly the same color as the phone. Have to add i dont have a pro model

Yes there is a haze to the film when you installed it but not sure if it was also due to the thumb grease you had on it you should have wiped after install.

Thanks for this video! I was wondering why my camera wasn’t good. I have always put protectors and had a case since day 1. Just got the iPhone 15 a couple of months ago and when I video record at night, there is a fog and the lights are slashed in my shots too. Problem solved once I removed it. I also notice your green shirt was washed out with the screen protector on and the iPhone auto adjusted it after you removed it and gave your shirt some colour. Great review. Thanks!

What I don’t like about these is that it sticks up far above the lip of my case. I use an otter box defender and dropped my phone once. The outcome was the glass camera protector breaking. This worried me cause if the camera protector hits the ground before the case, the shock damage can internally damage the phones camera. So, I stopped using these on my iPhone 14 Pro Max.

    Informative video! Thank you.
Sending love all the way from Indonesia 🇮🇩!
What I'm concerned of is that sometimes some naughty verified sellers would try to pass off and sell an "amazon quality" type of lens and just rebrand it and highjack the price like crazy
    Which is my main concern.
A few times I have noticed that the 2 bucks one and the 7 bucks one felt like they were made from the same (chinese offshore company) down to its packaging..
    :(

10/17/23 -How do u come to find the lens cover u recommend ? How many different higher , metal antiglare protectors did u try ? What about just buying the metal rings that cover the lens only ,would that make any difference in durability or photo quality? It appears u can remove your lens protector . Could u buy one and take it off at night and just use it during the day , since little difference in day time photos ?

When buying a screen protector from Amazon sometimes it will come with a lens protector which is what I primarily used. They do say that you can remove it and place it back when needed but eventually adhesive would wear off and then you would have to use another one. I haven’t tried the metal rings that you mentioned but because most cases for the iPhone does have a bit of a lift by the lenses, unless you drop your phone lens directly onto a sharp pointy object it’s pretty much going to be protected because the lenses are said to have very durable anti-scratch Lenses. And I currently pay around $10 a month for AppleCare so if something does happen to my phone I will be covered. I will look into the metal rings and see if I can do something about that
