We have yet to buy our first scooters but are excited to make the leap in 2023 when we move to Arizona. You do an excellent job of comparing the features and tradeoffs with each scooter and provide a great balance between the level of detail provided and how best to make price decisions! I really like how you compare each new scooter with others in the same category.
I'm in Arizona and in September I sold my car and bought a scooter. I'm tired of gas prices and insurance. I calculated that ill be saving over $3000 dollars a year be being able to drop my insurance and stop paying for gas, let alone any maintenance costs that might come up as well that could potentially cost thousands of dollars. I started out with the NIU KQI2 but within a month I already wanted to upgrade because once it got to like 90% battery it wouldn't hit top speed. And after a week of riding, the top speed felt too slow to justify using a scooter over just walking to work instead since work is only a mile away for me. So I got an apollo explore on black Friday and I'm in love with it. It's the perfect commuter. Whats great about Arizona is that there aren't a lot of people on scooters right now, at least in North Phoenix, since all the scooter rental programs are geolocked to Tempe right now. Most of the time I have bike lanes to myself. I don't need to wait for red lights. I can take bike trails if I didn't wanna ride in the street to get around. Imagine a traffic-less commute every single day. That's what it's like having a scooter as your primary commuter in Phoenix right now. If I were to upgrade my apollo explore, I would really only be looking at dualtron or vsett scooters. My battery life / range / speed is more than enough for me right now but 28 mile tested range can definitely be bumped up at some point in the future. Maybe the emove cruiser but I don't really like the look of it. But I havent needed more than 20 miles in a single commute so far so right now my apollo explore is perfect for me. Have yet to get a flat tire on it either. Word of caution: drive very defensively. Arizona drivers completely block scooter/bike/motorcycle riders out of their vision for some reason. I haven't had any issues yet but that's because I'm aware of everything and just assume everyone wants to hit me intentionally.
❓ have you guys ever done a video on buying a preowned scooter? Like things to look for is it worth it if it's got certain amount of miles on it due to the batteries having a fixed shelf life etc. A used “checklist” as it were.
This is the perfect video for someone considering getting a new or replacement electric scooter with a little more kick! I have a Vsett 10+ like the one mentioned in this video and it's a lot of fun, and not outrageously priced. I would recommend it to anyone looking for something even in the $2,000+ price range.
I also haw both my first scooter Vsett and I haw look for something like 500€max yust for sommer, and guys in store told mee to buy Vsett unbelievable good scooter, batery are 50+km and it still not empty. So to work and home It's comfortable, and I think best bang for the €:)) I both Vsett8 att black Friday and pay it 200€ chiper . And it's wery good built , has susp, light, 42max . And parts and mehanich are close wher I liwe so all ++. I'm set for sumer .
@A Bachelor's Life I positioned the throttle and brake lever as close as possible and it doesn't bother me. Nutt brakes might have less spacing than Zoom brakes, and the finger throttle took me some getting used to, but Alien Rides has an upgraded throttle coming in 2023 that might be better.
@A Bachelor's Life You're welcome! I have a lot of fun with mine. I don't think you'll be disappointed at all. If the trigger throttle is the worst thing, which can be subjective and a matter of opinion, at least they have replacement/upgraded triggers out there if you find the original one too uncomfortable. All in all, I wouldn't let the throttle deter you - it's a common one across many platforms and easily replaceable. The Vsett10+ is quick and smooth to ride. Good luck on your hunt for an electric scooter that fits your needs!
@A Bachelor's Life I'm not too familiar with a local shop that fixes scooters either, but it will help to have some basic hand tools available (example: wrench, screwdriver, tire pump, thread lock, allen keys). A lot of parts are covered under warranty and the seller should have a phone number you can call for support too.
They've been around for a couple years, so in scooter-year they're well established. We've only tested one, the Splach Turbo th-cam.com/video/XyKM0dEBfMU/w-d-xo.html It's been so long, I'd have to watch the video again to properly remember what we thought of it. Team Mantis V2, I've had it for about two weeks but only rode it once so far as a short test. Will put it to the ultimate test (ride back and forth to work) as soon as the weather gets back above freezing here🥶
Thanks for the reply and your time! I saw a splach turbo broken in two. The person posted it on youtube. The thing was dirty and scratched everywhere with exposed aluminum. My question is how common isnit to have a scooter break in two? The splach turbo uses 6061 aluminum. Thanks! Thinking of the splach titan.

Do you know a brand named Hero Mobility? I wonder if is it any good most of there models are under 2k. there latest model the X10 is a bit more about 2,2k and its 4200w with 60v 28ah battery and its goes about 56miles top speed. You guys got those there? Maybe you can test them in the future! :)
what u think of the Yume S10? it's absolutely bang for the buck scooter with the spec close to $1300- $1500 scooter , for only $840 with whopping 21AH battery, 30MPH, 1000w motor, it's perfect for NYC!
yume scooters are like emove scooters, theyre both rebranded alibaba scooters. dont waste your money on them. they always have problems. stick to well known brand, segway or at least Nui.
Have you heard of the YUME brand? I have a Yume 10 an it was 1300$, an I must say it’s awesome, dual motors, full suspension, off road/ regular tires, 40 mph, I have gotten 30 miles real world, I would love your opinion of this scooter.
I have the Evolv Terra which is just a clone or rebranded variant. That scooter is the best balance for a portable scooter. Not too heavy to carry with two hands. Very compact to fit into a trunk or under a desk. Very good suspension to lessen solid tire absorbing shocks. Pretty smooth start and some of the best speeds for a solid tire scooter. With me it goes 28mph. Was so impressed with it, I have a hero x8 coming in a few days. The hero x8 had stopped being manufactured and sold from most distributors. So I feel lucky to have two solid tire compact speedy scooters.
Are these scooters holiday deals only? Seems like they’re all a few hundred cheaper then before ? And the Apollo city pro having the best IP and dust rating idk about dust but I thought the emove cruiser. Or am I just confused? Lol Thanks guys!
Most of these are the current sale prices. The Apollo V2's for sure usually sell for more. I definitely consider the Apollo City Pro's IP56 to be higher than the EMOVE Cruiser's IPX6. Even though both are the same rating for water, I'd have a little more confidence with one rated for both dust intrusion and water. -Paul
I'm not sure if it's available in the US.. But the Teverun Fighter 11+ IMO is the best $2,000 E Scooter I've seen so far, and I have been comparing a whole bunch of $2,000 E Scooters for almost half a year now before I bought my Teverun Fighter 11+ so I know what I'm talking about.. The specs and features are almost unmatched in its price class.. 2000W Dual Motors with 5000W Peak Sine Wave Controllers 60V 35Ah LG Cells Dual Hydraulic Disc Brakes C Type Front and Rear Hydraulic Suspensions with Adjustable Rebound 5 inch TFT Color Display 11 inch Pneumatic Tires Adjustable Steering Damper 2,200 Lumen Headlight along with a decently visible Brake Light and Turn Signals The only flaws I've found on the 11+ is the very weak horn and the handlebars can't be locked when folded.. But then again, a lot of other $2,000 E Scooters don't even have horns and considering how heavy these $2,000 E Scooters are, I don't think a lot of people are actually folding these up and lifting them to places.. The closest competitor I've found that compares to the Teverun Fighter 11+ is the newly released Nanrobot N6.. But the N6 only has 10 inch Pneumatic Tires, a smaller 60V 22Ah LG Battery, no Steering Damper, an almost useless 250 Lumen Headlight and is $100 more expensive than the 11+..
I'd like an emove cruiser s, but I'm happy with the two niu kqi2 pro scooters I got for my brother and I for trips to the gym. The emove is better in every way, but at triple the proce I couldn't justify this year.
Someone help me out. I've heard good things about Yume scooters. They don't make any top 10 lists, but checking with owners they seem happy and it appears that they are constantly improving. Their battery packs are Fengchao. Sounds like a brand made in China. I know China can have quality manufacturing, but they can have junk too. Can anyone give me info or opinion about the Fengchao batteries, and anyone willing to chime in on the Yume scooter, please do. I'm leaning towards the Y11.
I know your comment is from a while ago but if you are looking for a decent scooter in a $1300-$1500 price range you should Check out the solar p1 2.0 or the solar EQ which is almost the exact same scooter as the first one I mentioned but with a new and improved build and bett sine controls. Also as far as I know the solar scooters are made in the UK.
@@Phuckhead thanks. I have seen that. And now that I'm willing to pay a bit more. I didn't get a Pegasus because I wasn't sure that it would make these hills and they haven't updated it. New e scooters are still overpriced when you consider what you can build for the same money. Built one for £1200 that hits 30mph in two seconds and has 25mile range even when pinning the throttle. The nearest performing scooter to mine costs over 5 grand! Diy all the way people. Maybe then these companies might not be so greedy.
We've included scooters from $490 (UNAGI on sale) to $1,500 (EMOVE Cruiser and TAUR) to $2,000 in the video too. But we have another video that features even more affordable scooters. th-cam.com/video/75NP7hJapLY/w-d-xo.html -Paul
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide cool but thats not the point lol scooters are getting out of hand and what bugs me is that instead of it actually being an alternative form of transportation its becoming a toy/luxury item, scooter that could actually be a former transportation or two or 3000.
Due to inflation almost everything is high prices unfortunately. -Vosk
2k is a lot of money…
We've included scooters from $490 (UNAGI on sale) to $1,500 (EMOVE Cruiser and TAUR) to $2,000 in the video too.
But we have another video that features even more affordable scooters.

@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide cool but thats not the point lol scooters are getting out of hand and what bugs me is that instead of it actually being an alternative form of transportation its becoming a toy/luxury item, scooter that could actually be a former transportation or two or 3000. You can buy a car or a motorcycle for that. I’ve seen it with my friends. Greeed.
@@gigi9467 While you can buy a car or a motorcycle, those things need insurance to even be able to drive it, a long with inspection, and a license, all things that drive up costs, unlike a scooter, where you can buy it, and just ride it.
@@gigi9467 More importantly, who wants to be stuck in traffic with a car when you can rip down the street, leaving traffic behind? For far cheaper too.
@@Patkilla7558 huh, u havent heard of lane splitting havent you? Look am not against scooters at all i have dome but at some
Point the cost diminishes the return and tech gets cheaper every year why are so scooters getting so redicolusly more expensive every year do u really need a scooter that does 50mph? For 3k thats stupid buy a motorcycle it honestly is almost as dangerous man
it's become terribly clear your channel is the scooter equivalent of LTT, and not GN.
PC nerds will understand.
Haha

Emove cruiser?
XD
that thing is junk. Hard to work on, no customer support and dangerous.
We have not heard of many issues! We have not had problems with ours. -Vosk
