- The Mazda BT-50 blends elegance and utility in a beautiful yet rugged pickup truck form. Now in its third generation, the BT-50 features a whole new look, a new engine, and advanced technology and safety features. Whereas previous generations of the BT-50 used a Ford-derived platform, the new model was developed in partnership with Isuzu. The BT-50 shares its chassis and several other components with the D-MAX.

mazda itself is reliable, probably more reliable than isuzu lol
I bought this car early this year and I totally agree with what you said.
Mazda historically is terrible at making pick ups lol. Good for them to team up with Isuzu.

I have a 2010 bt 50.Nearly 200 000 km on the meter. Still runs. The new one looks great. I know you can order a black edition model.
is it automatic, gas or diesel? any parts replaced?
@@gutadin5 It's diesel, manual shift. Shift oil and filters once a year.. Brake pads and fluid have done that twice. Cambelt once. Just regular service work I presume. I drive 4 months in winther conditions. Snow and ice and low temperature.

@@gutadin5 I think I already mention the replaced parts. Whats broke down was a frozen doorhandel. But thats was my fault. But nothing last for ever. At some point the direct injection system need to be replaced ,probably soon.
Caco so good on his thing , he can do it with no cuts, impromptu, minimal information, still entertaining. 👍👍☺️

Great First Impression Caco. But I notice the dashboard looks a little bit higher.
Kinda like this raw vibe of the video. No BGMs or whatnot. Just pure walk around of the vehicle.

In Australia many owners are having problems with the "safety" systems. Mazda/Isuzu really have to refine these intrusive troublesome systems that are anything but safe, other than that Aussie buyers are loving the car.
You can turn it off if you want. But I reckon this is a great feature.

This feels absolutely impromptu, like, "Caco, may BT-50 na raw. Let's go and and film it," kind of thing. 😂
Nonetheless, scripted or off-script, you always feel Caco's excitement when it comes to Mazdas. 👌
The only thing I did not like here is the placement of that front turn signal. Will be more visible at night, but in the morning, unless you're driving a sedan, it's hard to spot for higher vehicles.
Price is competitive though, for people who love pick-ups (me not included, but I love watching car reviews to see how the industry progresses).

Finally, the bt50 looks more like what a mazda car should look like. They should have done that a long time ago.
Low price Mazda variants but impressive hightech features and sporty interiors and exteriors very nice option for everyone who is a pick up truck fanatic.

For years, the ranger and bt50 is just the same. I don't know when it stopped being like that, but I'm happy it stopped. 😅

Mine has 13,000km in the odo and it runs at 9.2L/100kms combined city and highway.

I was informed of the forthcoming 2022 edition but the offer & the amenities I would enjoy were so enticing with current model.5 year free service maintenance coupled with the trademark of Mazda which make it very competitive. The price was also considered compared to other leading brands. Don't get me wrong I'm fully satisfied with my purchase. It(BT50PANGOLIN)will have its 1st PMS come December..

That's a beautiful Kodo fascia. I would love to see that transplanted on the current gen MU-X and that would have been a very beautiful rebadged Mazda PPV.
Personally, I love Caco's relatively restrained delivery in the early part of the video. He has the gift of gab (arguably the best in PH) and his subdued approach complimented the elegant vehicle he presented.

just my opinion. But I don't think that front fits a pickup. It looks really good on SUVs but on a pickup i don't think it works. Also the rear is just straight up a DMAX.
