Although the alliance between Mitsubishi, Nissan, and Renault is there, most of the components is actually made by Mitsubishi such as main components like the Frame and Chassis, and Nissan has already confirmed that the Next-gen Nissan Navara will be based off of this Mitsubishi Triton🙂
I'm glad Mitsubishi nailed with this design of Strada/Triton I hope the Montero Sport does well too

It's ugly. But... I saw a white one with body colored fender and body colored front facia where the grilles is the only piano black color and it was gorgeous. You'd appreciate the design more.
But with piano black fender and fron grille? It's yuck for me. And I'm a 2020 Strada user.
Looking forward for the comparo not only to its competitors but also to its predecessor
@11:52 boss caco for the generation of your monty, there was actually no variation between the engine options available. From base model glx 4x2 up to the top of the line gt 4x4, they all had the same 2.4L 4N15 Mivec, with the same hp and same torque.
Bonus points: the generation of your monty also had the cleanest look of the dynamic shield fascia. The 3.5 facelift just had a busier looking front end and with this all-new triton, it looks even busier than before.
The super select 4WD ll is the same system with our montero sport GLS 4WD MT. you can select 4H up to 100kph.
can we turn off or disable the hill start assist feature in the manual transmission variant?

I'm a fan of the super select II. The 4h is its AWD option which you can use on paved roads unlike other 4x4 systems.
Yes. Those who experienced Super Select II knows how hard it is to look for another pickup/suv without it. 😂 Won’t trade that over any other fancy tech.

1 of Strada owner shared his experience where he accidentally left the 4h "on" and he is travelling for 100km with an average speed of 80km. So far he didn't encountered any issues on his units.
i love my 2004 pajero ck because of this. sure it consumes more gas but the grip especially when wet and at speed is out of this world.
@@JJJohnJohnI always use 4H whenever I have full load, while raining, and whenever I drive Manila -Bicol it stays on 4H even over 100kmh no issues. I have 4x4GT Montero 2017.

Looking forward to your Behind-The-Wheel review. It would be nice to highlight the Super Select II 4WD - what's the difference to other 4WD. Also, the AYC (Active Yaw Control), how this triton drives in corners (curves) compare to other Pickup Trucks
Basically SS-II 4WD works like an AWD system when you have the drive selector in 4H where the power is delivered to all 4 wheels and it doesn't experience drivetrain binding or hopping. It's a great system, damn near bulletproof and makes all Mitsubishi SUVs and pickups fitted with it feel and work like a smaller and more nimble car, no joke it's like you're driving a comically high-riding Lancer GT Ralliart, if not an Evo outright. Add to that, the lockable center and rear diffs (at least in my Gen 3 Montero Sport), it can traverse a rocky section of trail virtually effortlessly even with HT tyres on.

I hope Mitsubishi has improved well their aircon...reviews from friends complained aboit this esp. During traffic
the hate that this ute is getting is ridiculous, we bought the glx variant and it is one of the best if not the best for its price, the front fascia is arguable, it could've been a little more sleek, but it looks proper especially with the radiator, its purpose built

We need this in Canada. Nissan and Toyota dominate the mid-size truck market here.
It will not sell well there because diesel vehicles are taxed more. That's why the Tacoma and the Frontier use gas engines.
@@Samazing01 We don't have a tax on displacement or fuel type. We have emissions standards so diesels would need to be retrofitted with DEF and DPF, in addition to a USDM tune to make it all work. There's no business case for a diesel mid-size truck over here. Very few people bought the diesel colorado and nobody is buying the diesel jeep gladiator.

I was expecting triton to be a bolder pick up truck than the ranger.Somewhat not convince.I still see ford ranger as the king in the mid-size pick up truck category.Just my opinion.All the best caco.
There's an update for the Athlete, there's an air vent at the rear and a descent control button beside the drive modes. ☺️

Comparison of triton vs ranger wildtrak should be interesting. Nevermind the hilux because its really the same specs for the last 6 years.
Idk why but the leaked render photos from fans is what the new ranger looked like. I hope Mitsubishi do the same to their units.
Almost 8 years na nga e 😂 the interior of the Hilux is so outdated I never knew the design was that old I even own one. But the leaf springs really help carrying more than a ton.

The Athlete seen in this review is a prototype unit, so there are some standard features that aren't seen here such as the Rear Air Circulator and the Hill-Descent Control. Tho the rest are also standard nevertheless.

It's disappointing that they did not integrate the rear air vents accross the variants just like what the navarra has.

I love the improvement of the engine, the suspension with the ride quality obviously will be better, the interior design and how they move things around. The front facia is way better than the previous strada looks now its more bolder and sporty. Well done mitsubishi

Hope that Mitsubishi will build a more rugged version of the Triton that can compete against Toyota Hilux GR-S and Ford Raptor.
I think that might actually be possible, I'm pretty sure I saw an article stating that there's a possibility of Mitsubishi making several Triton variants such as possible v6 (not likely to come to the Philippines though due to v6 powered cars not being too popular here🥲), Hybrid/PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid), and even a possible RalliArt Edition of the Triton! So maybe in the future that's a possibility... 🤔

That's not lag. It's the screen's refresh rate not coping up with the high end camera pointed at it. It looks fine af with the naked eye.

Why would rear air vents be needed in a cabin that small? Personally have a Hilux and it cools the cabin quickly without the need for one.

There is, dunno why MMPC failed to mention to them that the Athlete units they currently have are prototype units only which lacks some standard features for the local-spec (Hill Descent Control and the Rear Air Circulator to name a few).

@@marinerchris Oh I wish we only had televisions that go beyond 1080p, but I guess that's a fantasy in 2024. Kidding aside, expanding to 4K opens up 1440p as a new option as most phones now have screens that go up to 1440p. Plus the cameras they shoot with are I'm sure recording at 4K and post-processing at 4K with the laptops we have now is not that hard anymore for a media company as big as them. Top Gear PH already uploads videos at 4K so I don't see why they can't do the same.
@marinerchris youtube compresses videos in 1080p. If autodeal decides to upload 4k videos it would solve that issue as youtube compresses it less. A 1080p display would benefit from 4k streamed videos. Heck even 1080 60fps is enough to solve the compression as youtube doesn't treat that with heavy compression also.

Autodeal is an independent company compared to Top Gear Philippines, which is under a big multimedia company, that's why the video infrastructure of the former is limited.
@@renzettgarcia9693 4K is not that hard to deal with anymore. AutoDeal has 500k+ subscribers and no way they're a small company now. Being independent is not a reason as many vloggers already shoot and edit 4K videos with their phones and their laptops, so I don't see why they haven't upgraded. It's 2024 already and most of you already shoot your videos from your phones at 4K without knowing it. Trust me, they're not using budget DSLRs or mirrorless to shoot these videos.
