If you are okay with creating your pedalboard using only Boss effects, which is actually fine, the Boss ME-90B would be the best choice as it is the simplest and most affordable solution.
@@theprezenz or dig one up from a friend on a ‘Should you upgrade’ premise. That was what I was thinking. I’ve got a 50, do I really need to spend £400 right now on a 90 or is it just bluer?😋
@@theprezenz I have the 50 and as much as I love it, I’ve never been a fan of the synth and drive being on the same ‘circuit’. Also switching banks on the fly is fiddly. I really want the new 90, but I also want to be sure it’s really worth it. Nobody has £400 to throw around right now do they
Nice intro jam! Was wondering if you'd review this pedal. Really love the bass videos. Cici and Lee are a great combo as they cover pretty much every genre possible with their playing.
Thanks Lee & Cici, great review & great unit ! I know it's probably not practicable to cover every sound, but I'd like to have heard the compression unit (perhaps combined with EQ) to catch some slap & finger funk ...
I’m in the same boat as you. Downside is effect order appears to be fixed. With GT-1B you can move things anywhere you want easily. Here, some sacrifices must be made. Compression, octave and pitch shift are all in the same slot, have to chose. There are someways around that apparently, but it gets complicated. However… for the price it’s probably worth it! Unless the add the new pre-amps to the GX100
Me too. Have tested the Stomp XL. Perhaps the quality of the fx are better but it's too expensive. And the normal stomp just lack buttons. The 90b might be a good sollution, perhaps combined with a nice octaver or a HX one.
@@WorbyBassI don't think gx100 and Gt-1000 are getting updated. Man, the GT-1000 is already 5 years old. Line 6 however does more updates frequently but also the small stomp is 6 years old. Though choices these days 🤔
i don't play bass - yet this was such an enthusiastic demo, that i got drawn in! great intro and outro jams - more full-band elements are most helpful...everything sounds great until you add a drummer 🤣
I can spot Pete pretty quick these days, same as Chris Buck - which is encouraging, especially in this day and age; it’s good that a guitarist can still put a ‘signature’ onto things
I have a 50B; I like it but don't use it much (prefer a few separate pedals for most of my repertoire). This seems to have a lot more going on. Loved the "rotten apple" excerpt (if I've remembered the track name correctly).
I bought one... its ok... went back to my normal pedal setup though. I will keep it to mess around and see what I can come up with, it is fun... just not overly impressed.
I know you guys are trying to sell these things, but I am pretty disappointed with my ME 90. (guitar). It's got a couple more features than the ME 80, but the overall sound has got this weird klanky fizzy quality that I just can't dial out.😔 I prefer my ME 80..
the most needed feature in any digital box is cost free: numbers of user presets! please BOSS give us 1200 and not 8 (katana) or 36. The build in thousands of options, but refuse to let us save them there should be a law order for a minimum of 6000 presets in any digital box. and this does not take much more CO2 than 4 user presets.
@@theprezenz i work with a digital FX Box that has 300 User presets. And i am out of space, need 1000 more to save my stuff. But what question is this? even a guy who need 36 presets will be happy and no worry even his box has 3000 user presets. He simply is not using them, whereas i am not buying a 36 slot digital box. I have both. Used to have a large collection of pedals but i just dont have the room for it anymore. The ME's just work and sound fine.
The tuning of the bass and guitar in the intro are on different planets guys...
Thank you. Thought I was going crazy
You're not on different planets, they're just in different songs 😸!!!
It's paaaaiiiiinful
It would be great to see a back to back with the ME-50B as that’s been lurking on our pedalboards since 2009
Good idea but since the Me50b is out of production you could suggest the GT1b instead

I love all your band jams on Anderton's!
Cici looks so comfortable playing a short scale bass, it really suits her. Not that she looked bad with a full scale or anything 😊
What a weird comment...
Best vid in a month. 4 stars. They are happy bass ferrets with new toy. 🎉

Great right hand dexterity from Cici. ✅
This should be a weekly thing
Thanks for playing that little bit of Alice in Chains
Super cool sounds fair plays ❤
great review , as always. would be nice to see more jams in the future :-). What is the model of the edrum kit? looks compact but sounds great.
Say whatever you want, but Pete's playing is so unique. After two strums you know that's Mr Purple ;)
I can spot Pete pretty quick these days, same as Chris Buck - which is encouraging, especially in this day and age; it’s good that a guitarist can still put a ‘signature’ onto things
You should do a "Can you tell which pedal this is" blindfold challenge on Cici but actually they're all just this thing in different modes
What is the bass fender model is it standard ? Very nice demo I think I will buy one same bass & Boss pedal
That guitarist has more groove than many drummers
Sweet! Very 90s sounds overall.

Please Boss, why no 96khz? Some of your other new equipment has been using it.

Please, if you're going to have a Knob Man, get him to read the manual and learn the thing. Wandering through the settings is what we can do
Pete loves that strandberg he needs a purple relicd one 😂
Finally Cici plays a bass that doesn't look stupidly huge in her hands.
That Meteora bass is sick! Wish Fender would give us more colors of the 6 string Meteora and give us rosewood board...
That's the Mike Kerr (of Royal Blood) signature. Super cool bass.
For my live gigging the ME-50b is still good enough . Sadly it is no longer in production...
Having you guys review both which one is the all around pedal ?
Zoom b6 or Boss Me90B ?

It may not be so accurate but it's more pratical to get the tone right away.
How about some type o negative

Buy the best instrument money can buy for a certain tone and then run it through a $500 effect pedal to change the sound? 🤔
